Foundations -Hourglass - Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation
hottosusan 7/21/2012 12:35:00 AM
Finally found a foundation that combats oily skin! It is a medium to full coverage (full coverage if you put a lot more, make sure to use a good hydrated/moisturizer on your face before applying Immaculate). This lasted me all day (from 11am to 2am the next day) and I seriously didn't want to take it off! I used this foundation at my friend's wedding; I also had visible acne at that time too. I was the Maid of Honor, so I didn't want to worry about my make up melting off, shine/oiliness seeping through, and acne/redness. Plus, I knew I wouldn't have any time to check to re-apply. It is pricey, but worth it. Downside is the pump is horrible. The liquid foundation dries up and get stuck in the tube, so it's difficult to pump it out. But the foundation works, so it cancels out? Heh

Mascara -Too Faced - Queen Size
hottosusan 7/21/2012 12:14:00 AM
I was looking for a non-waterproof mascara and bumped into this product. Never expected to spend $21 on a mascara, but when I saw the size of this brush, I bought it purely because of the design. I like the application and it does make my lashes longer. Make sure to curl your lashes beforehand.

Scrubs -Skinfood - Black Sugar Mask
hottosusan 5/7/2012 5:06:00 PM
I'm so sad! I really liked the properties it has. I thought the black sugar mask will help my exfoliation, but my skin must be super sensitive because I broke out after using this. I concluded that the sugar grains were too harsh on my skin even though I very gently massaged it on my face. The skinfood rice mask wash off and peel-off masks are more suited for me.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
hottosusan 5/4/2012 3:53:00 PM
I was very skeptical about this product. I was afraid it will clog my pores and break out into acne. I have oily skin so my pores are noticeable and acne-prone. Pros: After I applied on my nose and cheeks, I INSTANTLY saw results. I want to say my pores were gone, but can't since it is just temporary. My pores were flawless and minimized. Also, I did not break when I used this. Cons: I do not like re-applying the product throughout the day. If you're a busy person, you won't have time to. This was also an extra step in my make-up routine which I don't really need.

Moisturizers -Skinfood - Parsley & Mandarin Cream
hottosusan 5/3/2012 3:20:00 PM
This cream is very refreshing. It is light, gel-like, not too thick compared to other cream/moisturizers. I like the hydration it gives; it caps it off. So far, my skin has not broke out. For PM, another moisturizer should be added after the cream application. I recommend it.

Scrubs -Skinfood - Rice Mask Wash Off
hottosusan 5/3/2012 3:00:00 PM
It really made my skin soft and smooth. Since I'm acne-prone/sensitive, the very gentle exfoliation helped and brighten my face. No dry/tight feeling afterwards Wash face, pat face to dry, apply mask, massage, leave on for 15 minutes, and rinse off. Total difference. It's good to give you're face a nice favor.

BB Cream -Skinfood - Aloe Sun BB Cream SPF 20 PA+
hottosusan 5/3/2012 2:43:00 PM
I received samples for this and shade was in light beige. I applied the bb cream after moisturizer. Pros - Love how it glided smoothly on my face. I realized I have to use very little, so my face don't look chalky. Cons - Light coverage, not enough to cover blemishes/faded or fresh acne scars. I was in OIL-VILLE the entire day. This is definitely NOT oil-free and/or suitable for combination/oily skin. I also didn't use a primer before the bb cream so I'm not sure if that has to do with anything. As much I love the properties it has (calming skin and etc), unfortunately, I will not be using this.

Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer in 1 Green
hottosusan 4/14/2012 2:43:00 AM
This product did not work for me as in it didn't "decrease" my redness dramatically. It was very faint to see a difference. In my opinion, I would just purchase the original (MUFE HD neutral (0) primer). Thankfully, I did not break out and make up stayed on tact.

Treatments -Perricone - Vitamin C Ester Concentrated Restorative Cream with NTP Complex and DMAE
hottosusan 3/20/2012 3:14:00 PM
This product is a miracle! I was looking for a product to restore my skin back to the way it was before my stress/acne came on me. I have used this product for two years now and my skin won't be the same as before (due to scars and etc) but it has come close. Follow the directions and within a month or two, you're skin will be firmer and glowing. When I apply at night and wake up the next morning, I get happy because my skin is radiating despite my acne bumps. Use it religiously and be patient, it will work.

Treatments (Eye) -Skinfood - Avocado Rich Eye Balm
hottosusan 3/20/2012 3:03:00 PM
The packing is cute and it is rich, thick, and creamy. I like the smell of it too. I bought it because I have dry skin along with my baggy eyes. I recommend warming the cream with your two fingers to heat it up before application. It will go on more smoothly. Use it at night before bed or if decide to stay home all day. The product did give me hydration overtime, but haven't seen major results. When I apply my concealer under my eyes though, it doesn't look smooth.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
hottosusan 3/20/2012 2:14:00 PM
Before discovery: My make up lasted me for 2 hours (even with primer). By the end of the day, it was all run down or disappeared, oily face, looked more tired. Even though I blotted and re-applied, it did not look fresh. After product discovery: I tried this over my face sunblock (spf 100) because I ran out of my usual primer at that time. Normally, sunblock gives me more oil production/greasiness and make up melts. So after applying my sunblock, I used the setting spray. It gave me a matte-fresh look throughout the entire day and has prolonged my make up stay (even with blotting). The shine/dewiness/oil do occur, so blotting once or twice was needed. Good news: I don't need to re-apply unless it is urgent. So far, I have not. Other than that, my matte-fresh look lasts me about a good 10 hours. It still works over my usual primer. **Shake the spray and make sure you get all angles. You're two sides and top and bottom.** ***Always get a good night sleep so your skin can rejuvenate. Make up looks great on you when you're well rested. Good luck!
