Styling Products -DevaCurl - Mist-er Right Curl Refresher

Leaves my hair light and refreshed with no telltale signs that it's second or third day hair! Does a lovely job of refreshing curls and killing frizz. Definitely my favorite refresher spray.
I got the starter set as a gift from a very generous friend and have in general been pleased with the results. It does take a while to put on, so I will generally only do it when I have a good block of time set aside. **Check the website,** they have a video with a lot of helpful tips about how to get good results with this set. As for the polish, the wear has been impressive. I usually wear another (non-gel) polish over my gel manicure because I have nail ADD and want to change colors all of the time. The non-gel will wear like gel. Even chip-happy polishes like Butter are chip free when layered over a gel manicure. And removing the non-gel polish with nonacetone remover doesn't damage the gel manicure at all. It is still as perfect and glossy as when I put it on. WTHBS, the removal is a pain and a half. The foil method isn't working for me, even with pure acetone. I do a lot of scraping and usually end up damaging my nails during removal. I bought nail soakers and am hoping that will help speed removal. So, it's a mixed bag. If I could find a way to remove it without damaging my nails, this would be a five star review.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - SalIy Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat

I am so lucky to have friends who recommend good beauty products (like an IRL MUA.) Because I was pretty happy with Orly Sec N' Dry, but this might just be my HG. It is fast drying, has a glossy finish, I've seen no shrinkage (rare for fast drying TC) and it makes even my fussiest polishes (looking at you, Butter!) wear and wear. And it's cheap. I will amend the review later if I run into any issues, but for now I'm not seeing any.
Thin, nongreasy moisturizer. It works wonders on fine lines, reducing their appearance overnight. It is pricier than I am generally comfortable with, but you can find online for cheaper. Will definitely repurchase. ETA-Truly remarkable results. I saw myself in the mirror the other day and was amazed at how much the appearance of the wrinkles on my forehead have all but vanished. I'm a believer and will definitely be repurchasing.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Mamma Mio Boob Tube Bust and Neck Firmer

I am the least likely person to use this product. It is a skincare line targeted to pregnant women (am not and will never be one) It has a cutesy name, which I hate. And the idea of a boob-specific moisturizer makes me cringe. WTHBS, this stuff is magical. I have rosacea, so the skin on my chest is usually reddish and blotchy. Lately, I've even been developing these delightful (not) little bumps. I received a sample of this in a Birchbox and was really impressed. The difference in appearance and texture was remarkable. My skin looks smooth, clear and completely normal. They emphasize that is has no "nasties" in it: no colorant, paraben, petrollatum, phthalates, sodium lauryl and laureth sulphate, synthetic fragrance & xenoestrogen. Supposedly, you can use it on your face. ETA-I tried it and had a bit of a reaction. My skin was still smooth a pretty, but a little red the next day. So I'll be sticking to its intended use. It comes in an airtight pump. It is pricey, but at 3.4 oz it is a good deal of product for the price. I would recommend shopping around for it online. I got mine from Skincarerx.com so I could use the 25% off code.
So pretty. Unlike this blush this doesn't have chunky glitter. Just a perfect shimmery light pink. Love it, will definitely repurchase.
I could do without the glitter chunks, but this blush is so pretty. Orgasm is too peachy on me, but this pinker version is just perfect. Would definitely repurchase, annoying glitter or no.
Not impressed by the volumizing or wear. Flakes terribly. Wouldn't repurchase.

Beautiful blue microshimmer in an ugly, muddy brown jelly base color. I get what she was going for, but this color really didn't work for me. Would not repurchase.
Really pretty pale lavender jelly with silver micro and hex glitters. I've been after this color forever and was really excited to get it. WTHBS, I was a bit let down by how average it seems to me in person. It's fine, but not the showstopper I expected. I also had the unusual problem of having too much glitter in the polish. There are so many hex glitters that there is a lot of clumping and it is difficult to space them out. Wear was rather poor-medium sized chips. This was true even using Gelous as a base, which generally wears perfectly minus slight tip wear. I am on the fence as to whether I would repurchase.
Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - American Classics - Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat
hooplehead 10/28/2012 12:22:00 PM
I am a big fan of Gelous as a base coat. It strengthens my nails and seems top be preventing breakage. I have not noticed the same problems as other reviewers have had with dry time. But the reviewers who have that issue seem to be using Gelous as a TC. I have noticed the nail peeling issue that other reviewers mentioned, but only when I peel off my polish instead of using remover (I know, bad habit.) Overall I have been quite pleased with Gelous and would definitely repurchase.
Gentle, effective pimple treatment. Brings down pimple size significantly overnight but doesn't dry out the skin. Definitely a fan, and would repurchase.
I am really in love with Herbalism. I have the worst of all possible worlds in skin-breakout prone, oily looking, dry spots and super sensitive. My skin is always acting up and hates 99% of the skincare out there. I was hesitant to try this because of the weird formula and because Lush skincare has traditionally been too much for my skin. But Herbalism does a lovely job. It cleans thoroughly and visibly reduces pimple size overnight. My skin feels clean, but not stripped. Consistent use has been keeping breakouts at bay and my skin nice and balanced. It is a little pricey compared to drugstore brands, but cheap compared to the higher end stuff I've been using lately. Will definitely repurchase.
Top/Base Coats -Unlisted Brand - INM - Out the Door Top Coat

Not super fast drying, not a high shine TC, and polish is chipped within the day. Not impressed, would not repurchase.
Top/Base Coats -Orly - Sec 'N Dry Multi-Layer Quick-Dry Topcoat
hooplehead 9/9/2012 7:00:00 PM
This is the fastest drying topcoat I own, and I have tried just about all of them-Poshe, Seche Vite, all of the other Orly TCs, Out the Door. Polish is dry to the touch in less than a minute and extremely hard to smudge. The finish is a bit dull, (for which I docked a lippie) but FWIW, I am not satisfied with less than a high gloss shine. Normal people would probably find the shine level to be fine. If i found a glossier finish TC with equal drying power, I might switch. But it is so fast drying, it will likely stay in heavy rotation in my manicures.
