Fantastic, naturally scented stick that can be used for lips, as a hand lotion (if you scoop out a bit) or a solid perfume. The cleanest grapefruit scent I have found. Great for tucking into you purse, since it's compact and multi-purpose.

Fragrances -Burberry - Burberry Classic EDP

Definitely a cold weather scent for me (and I usually don't restrict scents to seasons that way). On me, this is musky and smells like tea, Snapple Peach, to be precise. I get complimented when I do wear this, but for some reason, it rarely suits my mood. Lovely composition though, and I admire this perfume.

Sunscreen -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Chemical Free Sunblock SPF 30
rated 5 of 5
honeystix 6/19/2011 8:00:00 PM

This has been completely reformulated (called Mineral now) It is fantastic for my arms and legs. I haven't tried on my face yet. The white cast is minimal and dissipates quickly. Scentless. Mostly zinc oxide (14,5) with small amount of titanium dioxide (2%). I will see if I can tolerate that titanium d. on my face as it usually is a problem for me. Love this so far for body. Full five lippie.

Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Supergoop Spf 30+

Very similar to the Olay Complete SPF 30 (the non-sensitive version that has Avobenzone). When I wore this on my face, I shone like a disco ball and turned pink. Low PPD. Too expensive for what it is. I returned to Sephora and will not repurchase.

Deodorants -Dove - Clinical Protection
rated 5 of 5
honeystix 6/5/2011 1:30:00 PM

I have tried this in several of the scents. They all work very, very well to control sweat. As opposed to other antiperspirants (Secret: I am looking at you!), the Dove Clinical Protection washes off without leaving a heavy, ongoing scent or "masking" fragrance. My absolute favorite of this is the Grapefruit and Lemongrass scent. Totally refreshing and doesn't smell gross at the end of the day.

Fragrances -Origins - Ginger Essence
rated 5 of 5
honeystix 6/5/2011 1:24:00 PM

This is my #1 favorite fragrance, hands down, even though I don't wear it (or any fragrance) on a daily basis. It is the only fragrance I never get sick of smelling, and one of the few that doesn't make my a bit queasy if I spray on a lot of it. I love ginger flavored things to eat and drink, so maybe that's why. The body souffle, which I also have and like, smells different-- more citrusy. The fragrance, on the other hand, really reminds me of ginger ale. I adore the Intensified version, and the original one. Perfect in any season. I had the soap and shampoo before Origins discontinued those.

Sunscreen -Hawaiian Tropic - Oil Free Sensitive Skin Sunscreen SPF 50 Spray Lotion
rated 2 of 5
honeystix 6/5/2011 12:51:00 PM

Really? I am sorry to bring down the rating, and I am sure this is great for some people, but I cannot see how anyone with truly sensitive skin could tolerate this? I wondered how it could be tolerable for me with the high amount of Octocrylene and the high amount of Oxybenzone, but trusted. Ouch!! Tried slathering this on my face (after spraying into my hand, of course) and I included my eye area. Did I say Ouch?! This stuff kills!! I could not see for five minutes and was tearing up like a mofo. I guess this is for people sensitive to fragrance but tough as nails when it comes to the other usual chemical irritants. I do use sunscreens with these ingredients and can tolerate in certain formulas, but this was certainly not one of the gentle ones. I do believe, based on the reviews, that this is probably a winner in sun protection, but I would not put this near my face again. Will consider using it on the rest of me once if I can stop being a hater. For now, HT, I kind of hate you.

Sunscreen -Josie Maran Cosmetics - Argan Protect SPF 40+ Natural Daily Sun Protection
rated 3 of 5
honeystix 6/5/2011 11:50:00 AM

My reviews make it obvious that physical sunscreens are not usually a success for me. Still, I so much wanted this to work out because it smells lovely, spread smoothly and with no white cast on my arm in the store, and is available in cute travel size pump bottles at Sephora. Plus, it has no Octinoxate, an ingredient I have been reading more and more about as iffy. (Oxybenzone gets all the bad press here.) I wrote to Josie Maran customer care and got a prompt response as to my inquiry about coated versus uncoated zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. The z.o. and t.o. in this, I was told, are coated. That's good. (Easier to wash off, less potential for absorbtion and for phototoxicity with the titanium dioxide. Plus, I could layer it over other ss without interactions, due to the coating.) The Pros: *Goes on smooth as silk, making it easy to slather on even more than the suggested amount. * Looks pretty good on. As below reviewer noted, it is not "waxy," as many physical ss tend to appear. No plastic look to the skin, and no dulling or ashiness. *Feels great, at least at first. *Smells great, and no artificial fragrance. Just a fresh, fruity scent. * Nice to be using natural sunscreen ingredients, although the product does have some other ingredients like phenoxyethanol that are not so great. * Protection is moderately good. * No pore clogging after several days use. * Not as drying as most mineral sunscreens. Actually feels moisturizing enough to use on its own. Cons: * Main one, for me: After a few hours, I got very flushed. I am pretty sure this was not from the sun, but from the titanim dioxide, which tends to irritate me. *Not nearly as protective as the Euro ss I favor, although that was well-known to me upon purchase. * Did leave shine, but most ss do. * Made my pores look bigger when powdered over. * Felt kind of greasy to the touch, although not awful. Would I repurchase? Probably not. I will use up the rest on my hands, arms or legs. Also, I might use it over over ss as an added layer if I am outside for a while. I have applied this over LRP Melt-in ss, and it was fine. While wearing this over another product, I did not experience the flushing. It just seems like too much product to use. In summary, this is a great everyday sunscreen for the face for non-intense sun conditions so long as you do not have sensitivity to the ingredients. I actually would have kept using this if it did not cause me to turn flushed.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Wonder
rated 4 of 5
honeystix 5/8/2011 8:47:00 AM

This new gloss was sold out at the first three Sephoras I tried. Finally nabbed it at the one near Times Square. It is a very intensely pigmented deep coral color without any sparkles. Although it looks nearly opaque in the tube, I was still hoping it would go on a bit sheerer, but when I mix it with a clear gloss, it is perfect.

Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios Xl SPF 50+ Fluide Extreme (for face)
rated 2 of 5
honeystix 4/20/2011 2:37:00 PM

Fluide Extreme is probably the best sunscreen on the market in terms of protection, but I would not wear it if I planned to be seen by people, other than perhaps at the beach. It creeps right into tiny lines that are normally invisible. I gave my tube to a friend with totally different skin tone/texture and she had the same result! I don't have that problem with the Pediatric formula .

Fragrances -Ralph Lauren - Notorious
rated 5 of 5
honeystix 4/16/2011 9:57:00 AM

This is such a beautiful fragrance! I tend to like foody scents and clean ones, and this is a combination of scrumptiousness and cleanliness to the max! It reminds me of a classic Coca-Cola with a sliver of lemon adorning the glass but not squeezed in. It's Christmas snow viewed from a warm home, with sweet things in the backround. Love it!

Lip Gloss -Fresh - Gloss Absolute in Bellini
rated 5 of 5
honeystix 2/18/2011 7:48:00 AM

I have never used up an entire lip gloss or lipstick before Bellini. Bellini is deceptively subtle looking in the pan-- a peach that seems as though it would go on sheer and unnoticeable. Somehow, though it is sheer, it packs a big punch in terms of offering a very flattering tint and shine. It's moisturizing enough to use in place of a lip balm. The container has a mirror too, which I love. Will definitely repurchase.

Fragrances -Lavanila - Pure Vanilla
rated 2 of 5
honeystix 1/8/2011 10:35:00 AM

This is certainly not "pure vanilla" . It is vanilla plus patchouli, and not a particularly soft patchouli at that, but rather a sharp and "peppery" one. The whole "vanilla" line of Lavanila is infused with patchouli, with the exception of their Vanilla Coconut, of which I have a generous sample of body lotion from Sephora, and which is quite nice.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Vanilla in the Mist
rated 4 of 5
honeystix 1/2/2011 6:23:00 AM

This is one of my favorite Lush soaps. The scent reminds me of coffee ice cream, and lasts on the skin. Only down side is that it doesn't rinse off as rapidly as I'dl like.

Shampoo -Batiste - Tropical Dry Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
honeystix 1/2/2011 6:15:00 AM

Picked this up to freshen up my hair at work when my hair looks limp from conditioner/hats/city dirt. This did nothing to freshen up or fluff up my hair. I didn't particularly like the scent either. The "pros" were that it comes in cute little portable spray and was cheap.
