Styling Products -Charles Worthington - Big Hair Volumising Mousse

This product is a mystery to me: when I used it as a "finishing" balm (meaning putting it sparingly on dry, styled hair), it made it limp. BUT when I use it on wet hair before blow drying, it performs miracles. It makes my fine, thin hair incredibly soft, which for me usually equates to limp, but no, it's also full of body, and it lasts! I discovered this during an August visit to NYC--extreme heat and humidity, and I was out walking all day long, and somehow my hair stayed cute. I'm so afraid they will discontinue this because I don't see if very often, so I probably need to stock up. My only complaint is that the silver lettering on the tube comes off on my fingers, leaving little sparkles.
Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20

If they ever discontinue this I will cry. I've bought several of these over the past few years, and although I try different foundations and tinted moisturizers, I always come back to this one. Not too drying or too greasy for my combination skin, perfect color match, smooths out my skin tone.... The only complaint I have is that I wish it had more SPF, but maybe that would change the lovely texture.
Normally I shy away from shimmery shadows, but these reviews swayed me (you MUAers are the best). Now I'm so glad I found this--it's a great base, and the shimmer is enough to brighten my eye area, which actually makes them look younger. Looks great with my matte shadows.
How can Laura Mercier live with the crappy packaging she surrounds her great products with??? I have 3 eye shadows and a blush and a lipstick, and the case on every single one of them was broken within a short time. Still, I wear Bordeaux almost every day in the crease of my eyelids and it is gorgeous, doesn't really look purple at all--just like natural, pretty contouring. If I'm really dolling up, I put Guava as a base, from lash to brow, and it adds pretty shimmer. But unless the lighting is low, my aging eyes do better with matte shadows, and Bordeaux is a godsend. But sheesh, FIX THAT PACKAGING.

Love this, and I'm a lip balm junkie. I have to have this under my lipstick. It even makes my lips look good without lipstick--not too shiny, but plump and moist!
Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Lotion Exfoliant

At the risk of sounding ridiculous, this product has changed my life since I started using it over a year ago. I have always had bad skin--I had to do Accutane in my 20s, and then had obvious sun damage (unevenness, roughness). I tried PC AHA and the other BHA formulas, but this one is my HG. I use it almost every night by pouring about 10 drops in my left hand and dabbing it on my face with my right hand. Then I put Differin over that. In the morning my skin feels like butter. So I started to notice a few months ago that I can even get away with wearing no foundation, which was a miracle. But the final confirmation came in December--I get to be on the cover of this local magazine (cheesy but still!), and at the photo shoot the makeup artist said THREE TIMES, "You have great skin!" This 41-year-old nearly cried, it was such an unexpected thing. I think I have PC (and Differin) to thank for this. Oh, and did I mention that it lasts forever? I'm still on the first bottle I started with.
I have had this for years and have ignored it all this time. The other day I just grabbed it on a whim and said WHOA when I put it on. Makes my lips feel soft, look fuller, and the color was just what I was looking for: not mauve, but reddish-plum-brown. I was going to a party the next night and wore this, AND it actually stayed on for hours. So I have put away my Bobbi Brown lipstick in Brown and am using this! Plus it has SPF, so--even better.
What is the big deal with this stuff?? It flakes like crazy on me. Back to Maybelline's Full n' Soft.
