Cleansers -Bliss Labs - Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

I am currently on my third bottle of this stuff (one was the jumbo size that was limited edition). I LOVE IT. I give all credit for my clear skin to this heavenly product. First off, it smells so fresh and delicious, and just feels amazing on my skin because of the gel formula and the gentle exfoliating beads. I have regularly dry skin, and my skin never feels tight after using this; it just feels very clean and normal. I can't exactly review how it does on makeup removal because I remove my makeup before washing my face (a Clinique employee once said that washing your face with makeup on is like taking a shower with clothes on, and I religiously took off my makeup ever since). I considered switching to something cheaper when I finished my second bottle, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. It's my HG face wash and I plan on keeping it that way for a very long time.
This is one of those LUSH products I ALWAYS find myself going back for and repurchasing. I recently purchased my fourth Comforter bubble bar. I find that these bars actually last me about 4 to 5 baths if you break it into fourths or fifths. There's a lot of misconception with bubble bars though. It is believed that you crumble them into running bath water / a full bath already. THIS IS NOT TRUE. For BEST bubble results that last super long, crumble the bar into an EMPTY tub, then turn on the water (make sure the drain is closed). Also, if you find that the bubbles start to disappear, just turn on the bath water again and they will pop up once more. Now, the Comforter creates delicious, fruity smelling (blackcurrant = YUM), super soft bubbles that do not make your skin sticky at all. This is personally my favorite bubble bar because of its smell, color, and SIZE. Most bubble bars produce two baths, but you get the best bang for your buck with this bubble bar. Bravo, Lush!
Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Natural Acne Solutions - Purifying Gel Cleanser

I have dry skin and I get a few zits around my time of the month, but it takes a while for them to go away. Hoping that this would prevent the zits and clear up the existing ones, I bought this wash at my local CVS. I had already tried the scrub and loved it, so I thought that this would be just as fantastic. I was wrong. Upon using this, I woke up with three new zits in areas of my face that I have never broken out in before. I continued the use of this in the morning and evening for two weeks until my skin was so dry that I couldn't take it anymore. Do I think that this would be a good cleanser for those with normal to oily skin? Yes. It is a nice acne cleanser, but you must be willing to give up your skins natural oils. My skin also felt itchy due to the extreme dryness. I will not continue to use this product, and will not buy again.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #210 Precise Eye Liner (Fine Point)

I absolutely love this brush- it made my fluidline look flawless, etc. But I have a huge problem with this brush- I put it in my makeup bag, and the protective cap CAME OFF, and now my brush has three separate parts to it, which i am considering cutting (worst case scenario). Ladies, (and gentlemen) please do NOT lose the protective cap, or you'll end up buying a new one. I literally got it last week, and it's already destroyed.
TG for Clinique! This is my HG face product- I am madly in love with it. I have very young skin, but it does not look like it should. I can never go to school without any face product on- people would mistake me for a serial killer. I feel like I'm the only girl at school who has to wear some sort of foundation to look human- and I always have struggled finding a product that made it look like I wasn't wearing anything at all. And then I found Clinique's Almost Makeup foundation/tinted moisturizer. Gone are my dark circles, acne, blotchiness, and any other un-humanlike features that I have. I look alive when I wear this, and not a single one of my girlfriends can tell I have any face makeup on (score!). Somehow, this offers perfect coverage, even when different parts of my face needs different amount of coverage. I'm not going to ask how or what makes this possible for me because I'd go crazy if I jinxed it. One thing I have noticed with this product though is that I need to dust a super-super light finishing powder over this because it often looks a little shiny.
Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

I loved this product because it was light and blended perfectly into my skin. But after a while, it started drying out my skin and got stuck in dry patches and it was- ugh. It didn't look extremely natural, either. I liked the powder and occasionally the concealer, but the foundation was so-so, especially since it reeked of a chemical sunscreen.
Pressed Powders -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Powder
holalola559 2/16/2009 3:02:00 PM
This was the only product from the True Match line I really liked. It controlled my little oil without being cakey and drying my skin out, and it was really light. I don't have plans to repurchase it- but it is a very nice, inexpensive powder for people with dry-normal and young skin that doesn't need much. It's also great as a setting powder.
At first, I loved this product. It gave me a "flawless" face and all... But after a while I realized that it was WAY too obvious, it screamed I was wearing makeup, partially because my shade was a bit orange for me- but it was the only one that fit after my summer tan. Now that I look back, it was a thick mask and it rubbed off on my clothing like my white cheerleading uniform turtleneck and on t shirts. It sits in my makeup drawer unused now- and the product is practically spilling out of the cap, making a mess. I'm only keeping it for the summer because it didn't break me out and I like that. But I'm definitely not repurchasing.
I got this as a gift and it was kind of insulting. This smell is really musky and dark. When my friend smelled this, she said that she imagined a 'rich skank from the 50's' wearing this, and that's exactly how I imagined it too. It does not smell good at all- maybe I got an old one? I don't know, but I smelled this and I couldn't stand it.
As a teen, I knew that I'd begin to sweat- but I have a bigger build and I'm very active, so sweating to me is common unlike most of the stick figures who can run a mile without their face even turning the slightest shade of red. I've used Degree, other Secret ones, Dove- everything. Most recently, I used BAN which had worked the best for me because of it's strong scent. This might be a little TMI, but my sweat smells really bad and I sweat on my forehead, thighs- everywhere. I don't know why exactly, but anyway! I found this after I saw the ad for the Sport version, which I was looking for originally and I fell in love! After I am done with this, if I can find the sport version, I will try it- but this is all I need! It smells really fresh too- my friends keep trying to steal it from my gym bag at school. I think I'm the only one who uses a deodorant constantly (at night too), but I don't care, because this really works!!!!
This is all hype and nothing else. Cetaphil is probably one of the worst products for your skin to use- ever. It says "soap-free" on the bottle, but yet there are detergents that destroy and harm your skin. Also, most women use it to remove makeup- but all it does is dry out your skin, and it doesn't even pick up all of your makeup- so ladies, USE A MAKEUP REMOVER. This is not a miracle product at all. It's horrible for you.
I've been looking through a lot of Victoria's Secret fragrances, and I came across this one day and I fell in love. I didn't buy it immediately, but I'd spray it on and then come back to see if I liked it. I finally caved noting that it is only about $9, which is around the same price for CVS body mists. I absolutely love it! It's so young, fresh and fruity and I keep in it my locker at school and spray it for pick me ups. My friends always steal a spritz of it too. I think why people say that it doesn't last long is because it's not necessarily a perfume- it's a body spray. You're meant to spray it on your skin- it's not just a spritz and walkthrough. I will definitely buy this again and try out Love Spell!
I absolutely and in love with this product. my skin is very young, and this helped my redness issues as well as kept me oil-free but not over dried. I use it once a day and then follow with a toner and a moisturizer and I do expirience less breakouts.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Acne Stress Control Foam Wash
holalola559 11/9/2008 10:48:00 PM
Ummm... It didn't do anything but dry my skin out and give me my redness problems a field day. Smells delicious- but no face wash can control stress. And I have a question- how the heck can you tell if your acne is from stress?!?! So clearly, I do not like this product. (one lippie for the smell. YUMMM)
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Wave™ (Power-Cleanser And Deep Clean Foaming Pads)
holalola559 11/9/2008 10:46:00 PM
What's the point of this? It's just soap on a pad. No amount of 'vibrations' will get the wash down to pores more than using your fingers. And it didn't make my skin soft- just dry and my acne came back.
