Treatments -Reviva - 10% Glycolic Acid Cream

Get $10 off of your first purchase at iherb.com using code YEW608 !!! -------------------------- This cream is such a bargain for its quality. No bad ingredients and just actives that will resurface the skin and make it glow overnight! This is different from other creams/treatments that contain regular glycolic acid because this cream uses polymers of glycolic acid, which is able to penetrate the epidermis better and give very thorough and deep exfoliation. I had already used the 5% cream and other AHA products, so I could easily move onto this 10% cream, but if you've never tried AHA before, go use the 5% cream first, as it might burn and irritate your skin. It tingled and stung upon the first few applications, but I think my skin is getting used to it. I could tell the difference in the tone and texture of my skin after first usage. DO NOT use this during daytime.. it makes your skin extra vulnerable to the sun and I just think that active ingredients such as glycolic acid should be used during nighttime when you are sleeping. Your skin might peel for the first few uses, so I suggest topping it off with extra moisturizer to lessen the peeling. I have quite dry skin, so I cleanse my face at night, apply this cream right away, and top it off with another cream mixed with oil. I ALWAYS wake up glowing and blemish-free. My skin tone is evening out as well. My favorite nighttime products have to be Arcona's Gentle Solution and Vitamin A Complex, and this cream. Arcona and Reviva Labs both use glycolic acid polymer in their products, but Reviva's cream is just so much cheaper in price and the effect is exactly the same. I highly highly recommend this cream. It will really transform your skin, just give it 2 weeks!

Treatments -Reviva - 5% Glycolic Acid Cream

Get $10 off of your first purchase at iherb.com using coupon code YEW608 !!! -------------------------- This is the best night treatment I've used along with Arcona's Gentle Solution & Vitamin A Complex. Although I find Arcona's products gentler on the skin, I like to use this cream around wintertime when the weather gets colder and skin drier. I think oily-skinned people might be fine using only this, but since I tend to have dry, dehydrated skin, I top this off with another cream mixed with rosehip oil. The reason why I love this so much is because it makes my skin glow and controls breakouts as well as blackheads. It's a great way to use up products that break you out. (EX: I had bought a bottle of rosehip oil before I purchased this cream, and I couldn't use rosehip oil because it was giving me cystic pimples, but if I use this cream underneath I do not get cysts.) This stings when you put it on the skin, but you will get used to it the more you use it. Be careful if you've never used AHA before; use very little a few times a week and gradually increase the amount and frequency. I was already using a lot of AHA's in my routine, so I think I can move on to the 10% cream from the same brand, which I purchased with this one. Overall, I highly recommend this cream! It will really even your skin tone out and get rid of imperfections such as pimples, blackheads, scars, and pigmentation.

Skincare - Face -Arcona - Gentle Solution

I've never had a product that made me feel like I couldn't live without it, until this. I received a tiny sample size along with some other things I ordered, and decided that I MUST buy a full size bottle after I've used it up. This is the best nighttime treatment I've ever used. period. I put this on at night after I cleansed my face and was going to go straight to bed, but since I have dry skin it wasn't enough moisture for me, so I carefully pat on a thin layer of moisturizer+argan oil. I woke up with clear, glowing, freshly exfoliated skin. My pores looked noticeably smaller and some blackheads were gone (which have NEVER happened before with any product). I normally won't spend more than $30 for a 1 ounce serum, but this is a must have for me now. Definitely worth the expensive price tag.

This really does whiten significantly, and you will notice a difference as you use it long enough. I just finished up my first bottle and going to purchase a second one today. Price is pretty cheap for what it does, but the brush does splay, so I like to cut the tip of the brush to prevent splaying.

Concealers -Ecco Bella - Natural Cover Up
rated 5 of 5
hjjung 5/22/2012 2:04:00 AM

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet!! (I thought I already did.) This is the BEST concealer I've ever used, hands down natural or not. Ever since I started all natural/organic products, I realized how hard it is to actually find good makeup products that both have good ingredients AND perform well. This is an exception---creamy, not greasy, full coverage yet very natural looking, good ingredients, affordable, long lasting... The only bad thing is the small color selection. I have light-med (leaning towards light) Asian skin with yellow and pink undertones, and Beige suits me well. I transferred mine into a small jar (scooped out the crap out of RMS Beauty's Cover Up which was a waste of $) because while the lipstick packaging is not bad, the product is very smooth and could break off when gliding it onto the skin with pressure. But BUY THIS! Best concealer ever. seriously. *** Get $10 OFF of your first purchase at iherb.com..code: YEW608

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Madara - Delicate Cleansing Milk
rated 2 of 5
hjjung 4/13/2012 12:08:00 AM

I'm confused about this product because this SUCKS as a cleansing milk, but works surprisingly well as a moisturizer. When used as a cleansing milk, it did not remove anything from my skin and did not cleanse well. It also seemed to absorb into my skin when I was massaging, which ruins the whole purpose because whatever dirt and pollutants that are being removed will absorb back into the skin anyway. But I started using it as a moisturizer, and it hydrates really well with a slight cooling feeling. I still don't recommend it because it does have alcohol in it (2nd or third ingredient) which can dry out the skin overtime. Can't be used around the eye area either, they will start burning. The packaging is really nice with a pump bottle that can be twisted to open/close, but that's the only nice thing about this product. Shame.

Concealers -Clinique - Airbrush Concealer
rated 3 of 5
hjjung 1/22/2012 2:56:00 PM

Just writing to let some people know, there isn't much price difference between this and YSL's Touche Eclat. I know that this is $19.50 and Touche Eclat is $40, but Clinique Airbrush concealer is only 0.05 oz, whereas Touche Eclat is 0.1 oz, which is double the size of Clinique, so YSL is double the price but also twice the amount. So if you think in relation to the sizing, it's almost the same price anyway. My advice: try both of them at Sephora and stick with whichever one you like because they differ in colors, undertones, and brightening effect/coverage.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
rated 1 of 5
hjjung 1/20/2012 10:58:00 PM

At first it was nice. Very clean, long lash look. Then after about a week, it started flaking so much it was not wearable anymore. And I'm not even someone who doesn't store makeup properly, so I think it's just the formula that dries out too quickly.

Concealers -Origins - Quick, Hide! Easy blend concealer
rated 5 of 5
hjjung 12/15/2011 1:42:00 AM

omfg best. concealer. ever. I don't know how it manages to make & keep the face matte, but not dry and flakey and keeps its color without oxidizing. I have very dry skin with fine lines around the eyes, so I have to use extra rich cream around my eyes because otherwise my undereye area will look bone dry. But if you have oily skin, this will mattify your face and provide coverage. The ingredient list is much cleaner than your commercial brands, and for $15, I personally think it's a bargain. BUY THIS! ----------------------------------------------------------- EDIT:: okay, so I already wrote that this is like, the BEST concealer ever in life, but I was pleasantly surprised by this concealer today even MORE. I normally don't wear makeup for a long time, I basically go to school for my morning classes, come back home and like to remove makeup right away so my skin has some time to breathe. I basically don't have makeup on for too long. Then today, I had to be out for more than 10 hours (dentist's office, grocery shopping, out for dinner, blah blah blah) When I came home at night around 11 and looked in the mirror, not only was the coverage still there, but my skin was GLOWING!!! Is that even possible? All the makeup I've used so far in my life had made my skin look worse as time goes by, but this one is special. I don't know if it has to do something with the concealer being matte and the oil that my skin produces throughout the day or whatever, but I'm freaking in love with this stuff!!! Best beauty product I've ever used in my whole life... period.

Cleansers -Ren - Micro Polish Cleanser
rated 2 of 5
hjjung 10/29/2011 11:20:00 PM

On the contrary to the reviewer below me, I was disappointed by this product. I found the granules very scratchy against my skin as they are not round-shaped, and there is not enough fruit acids in this product for it to chemically exfoliate my skin. When I used my Body Deli blueberry resurfacing cleanser, I could feel the tingling sensation from the fruit acids exfoliating my skin. This is nothing like that, so I wouldn't give credit to the fruit acids in this at all. And since the granules are so big and scratchy, I feel like they are pulling on my pores, stretching them even further. Pretty much the only thing I liked about this product was the smell, which is invigorating and lovely. However, there are SO MANY more options to this product that are WAY cheaper, especially on websites like iherb, vitacost, and luckyvitamin.com, and I can't even remember why I bought this overpriced cleanser in the first place.. I must have been out of my mind.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Honey
rated 1 of 5
hjjung 10/12/2011 10:32:00 PM

My skin generally doesn't develop any reactions to most things, so after trying honey on my face as a mask, I was shocked. While I had the mask on, my face became red and irritated, and felt itchy so I rinsed it off right away. Is this supposed to happen? Can anyone please please tell me? I don't think I'm allergic to it because I put some honey in my regular facial cleanser and there is no reaction at all.. it's just when I leave honey on for more than 5 minutes. I'm very sad that this didn't work for me! :(

Eye Shadow -100 Percent Pure - PearlStick Cream Eye Shadow

I got this in Black Pearl. Really beautiful metallic dark grey color with very fine shimmer. Unfortunately, smudges very easily because it is oil-based, and doesn't last long.

Lipstick -ILIA - Lip Conditioner - Blossom Lady
rated 3 of 5
hjjung 9/25/2011 1:23:00 AM

This is good as a sheer lipstick, but I won't use this instead of a lip balm, which was what I had in mind when I bought it. It definitely is moisturizing, but not as well as a lip balm. (I still need to use a lip balm underneath, or else my lips get chapped if I keep reapplying only this) Colors are fabulous. I only have Blossom Lady, which is a very neutral light-ish pink, with no cool or warm undertone. Now, I would love to try other colors if it wasn't for its horrible taste. It tastes rubbery and plasticky and I find it very unpleasant to wear. summary: 1. colors are great (neutral tones, sheer but buildable) 2. not as moisturizing as a lip balm (personally for me) 3. tastes horrible

Tinted Moisturizer -Sukí - SukiColor - Tinted Active Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
hjjung 9/23/2011 3:49:00 PM

This is so much better than the 100% Pure Tinted Moisturizer. The consistency is very thin yet it still has decent coverage, but looks extremely natural like your own skin. If you have a lot of blemishes, don't expect this to cover them.. after all, this is a tinted moisturizer, not a foundation. But for a tinted moisturizer, I have to say that this covers really well. It doesn't do much for blemishes, but covers up pores & redness really really well! I have light-to-medium skin (leaning towards light) with slight yellow undertone, and Porcelain is a perfect match for me. The packaging has its pros and cons because while the pump is hygienic and the frosted glass is attractive, the glass is slightly heavy and it has a risk of breaking if you are not careful, so you can't really carry this around in your purse. The Willow Bark Extract is a natural form of Salicylic Acid, so it's good for those who are acne prone. Although it's a bit pricey, I would buy this again because it is the best tinted moisturizer I've found and I expect this to last a very long time, since you only need half a pump to cover your entire face.

Brows -Unlisted Brand - castor oil
rated 5 of 5
hjjung 9/23/2011 2:57:00 PM

I bought my organic castor oil on iherb.com --- get $10 off of your first purchase using code YEW608! WOW. I am a believer. I initially bought castor oil for oil-cleansing and I stumbled onto the reviews here. When I read the rave reviews on how it makes eyelashes grow, I scoffed and was skeptical. However, I've been using castor oil on my lashline every night before bed for almost 2 weeks and there is already dramatic results. You can definitely see the improvement when you apply mascara; I think my lashes grew about 3mm, which is a huge difference for eyelashes like mine. I have Asian monolids that seem to eat up my lashes and my eyelashes were almost nonexistent, so I am certainly really really excited to have found this particular benefit of castor oil. It makes eyelashes grow in places where there weren't before, and my lower lashes have lengthened and thickened. I will continue my use and update if there is more dramatic result. ---------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT (10/22/2011):: My lashes are continuing to grow and multiply. My sister who always made fun of my short lashes suddenly looked at me yesterday and said "your lashes look longer" and asked if I had changed my mascara! I am shocked that castor oil has not been proved scientifically for lash growth.. it's truly like Rogaine for lashes! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT (11/19/2011):: Still continuing to improve my lashes. I think my right lashes are growing faster than my left ones, so I am now just applying it every night on my left lashes. And get this ladies: I can curl my bottom lashes. wait, LOWER lashes?? YES! I flip my lash curler upside down and pinch on my lower lashes to curl them downwards, which gives a very dolly effect when you apply mascara. Like I mentioned above, I have (or used to have) very sparse, thin, short Asian eyelashes.. And having lower lashes long enough to curl them downwards is a miracle to me. Castor oil has also made me grow new lashes, and so I don't have to look for a volumizing mascara, because when I wear a volumizing mascara now, it looks like too many lashes... in a very good way. But personally, I like the look of clean, long lashes so I just wear a light coat of lengthening mascara. I've been getting lots of compliments on my lashes, which I never thought would happen. *cries with joy*
