Eyeliner -New York Color - Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil 931A Black

i have seriously never had an eyeliner or any eye product stay on my eye for a super long time, but this one is one of the top contenders! its sooooo smooth and pigmented but it actually STAYS on for a really long time! i never thought i'd see the day.... anyways, this is the absolute perfect black eyeliner (people ask me if i used liquid sometimes when i wear this its so good... but you can smudge it too if you want, before it "sets") i've found so far. i'm going to try the other colors next!

Blush -L'Oreal - Blush Delice in Sugar N' Spice
rated 5 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 10/19/2007 12:05:00 AM

This is a really pretty blush. i never owned any blush delices before so it took some getting used to my blush smelling "yummy", but its a really cute packaging and always reminds me of my best friend from middleschool/highschool who used the raspberry one. anyways, the blush is a sheer shimmery formula which is actually nice becuase it looks natural without much effort. the color is like if a nude blush and a rosey blush had a baby (i know thats weird but its how i think of it whenever i put it on). its really perfect for days where you just want to look natural and not too made up but with an extra pretty touch. will definately keep reaching for this one!

Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild - Diamond Brilliance - 614 Shannons Shiny Bit
rated 5 of 5

These Diamond Brilliance glosses are amazing. THey are soooo smooth and non sticky and are so lovely in color! i was afraid of the word "diamond" because it made me think "glitter" and "frost" but thats not true! They're subtle shimmer but mostly just juicy, non-sticky gloss. The color is a GORGEOUS nudey warm peach. just sooooooo perfect! love! also got the berry one (14 carats something or other) which is the most gorgeous berry gloss i own! love WnW! SO CHEAP!

Lipstick -mark - Fresh Kiss - Shy
rated 5 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 6/20/2007 4:36:00 PM

Really love this little gem! Fresh kiss l/s are for the most part great but there are some duds so i was wary when i saw this was a shimmery formula (which translated to dry and frosty for babys bottom and some other shades). but this l/s is NEITHER of those things! its divine! its a SHEER, CREAMY, GLOWY nudey beige. its like a nudey/MLBB with a bit of shimmer. and its totally smooth, absolutely no grittiness at all. anyways, i love this shade, one of my faves of the bunch (and i have upwards of 12 fresh kiss).

Blush -Jane - Blushing Baby Doll
rated 5 of 5

This is such a lovely blush! Wow, and so cheap too! This is a super silky, pigmented matte warm-neutral blush. It was just what I was looking for in a natural, subdued, warm flush for summer. Really pretty and subtle. did i mention silky and pigmented? I think i did. five lippies! I want to try more jane stuff now!

Concealers -Ulta - Natural Finish Concealer
rated 4 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 5/26/2007 3:33:00 PM

This is a really nice liquid concealer, and I've tried tons! It is lightweight but still really pigmented for a liquid. Its a normal doefoot wand tube, looks nice and classy. I love how its creamy and has reeeally subtle light-reflecting particles (nothing shimmery at all, it just "brightens" without ANY noticeable shimmer at all). Still on the search for an HG to cover my undereye circles, but this is close, makes them look naturally lighter and brighter.

Eyeliner -Ulta - Kohl Eye Liner in Raisin
rated 5 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 5/26/2007 3:30:00 PM

Got this as part of an ROAK and i just LOVE IT! This is really an amazing color and good pencil formula. I want to go buy more! The color is a gorgeous metallic plummy color. It goes really well with the second color down in the middle of the WnW Paradise Cove palette (the warmer plummy one) and this combo looks SO KILLER with brown eyes! I'm sure it would also rock on green eyes too! You can also pair it with a cooler purple color (like the top purple shade in the middle of WnW PC) and then it looks like a cooler plum, so its really versatile. Its not the softest e/l i've tried, but its not rock solid (like the lumene eye graphics ones blech) and once you get it on it stays! i swear last night i was swatching it on my hand with different e/s and today its still there! the e/s have long since faded but its still noticeably there. and i even took a shower! I mean, its not miraculously long lasting (like i hear mac liquidlasts are-indestructable haha), but it definately stays on longer than other e/l i've tried. I want to try it in different colors but i think raisin is the prettiest one!

Eyeliner -Lumene - Eye Graphics Eye Liner Pencil in Syrup
rated 2 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 5/26/2007 3:20:00 PM

I got this in a swap. It was my first Lumene product and I must say, I was pretty disappointed. Considering its an $8 eyeliner (moderately expensive for drugstore), I was expecting better quality. And while syrup appears to be a pretty copper penny shade, it was hard as a rock!!!!!! I had to warm it up so much to even be able to apply it to my eye and it was still a pain. Staying power was only moderate. I was disappointed.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears

I was undecided on this one for so long, but after i heard RougedandReady's description of "her nightmare" of "everything sprayed at BBW at once" i was curious again and gave it another try just to see what i thought of it. well, she was spot on about the "everything at BBW sprayed at once" thing. it has fruity AND floral AND warm/sweet/musky notes! i think the warm/sweet musky notes were what were keeping me a little drawn to it, but there was always something "off" about it and now i realize those warm notes start to go sour on the dry down as the sharp fruity floral comes out of it and its just weird. i feel like i'm smelling gardenia and cherry blossom and coconut lime verbena (bbw scents) all at the same time just like she said! its insane. and although i feel like its so close to what i've been looking for, the little part of it that's off is just TOO off for me to be able to wear it at all :-/ too bad, but at least this was only a sample (almost got the full sized bottle, good thing it was so ornate i delayed)...

Blush -NYX - Rouge Cream Blush - Rose Petal
rated 5 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 12/25/2006 4:18:00 PM

WOW. this is the most spectacular cream blush i've ever used. it is so soft and PIGMENTED! just touch your finger to the (generous-sized) compact, and you have enough color for both cheeks! and it LASTS!!! this is really just an amazingly high-quality product. and what a bargain! i'm definately getting more of these. this color is a really pretty muted tannish pink. i'm not usually a pinky pink gal but this looks nice on my MMM skintone. can't wait to try more shades!

Lip Treatments -mark - Sheenstick
rated 4 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 12/25/2006 4:13:00 PM

Okay, well, as a mark rep and self-proclaimed lipbalm junkie, i was dying for them to come out with a stick form lip balm (i love kiss therapy beyond words, but still). when i got the sheenstick, i was really excited. but upon opening it was immediately disapointed. these things are tiny. okay well getting over that disapointment, the formula is AMAZING! really, i have tried thousands of balms, and this is really really great. first of all, it has that yummy minty smell that i love from mark. it leaves this perfect layer of smooth moisturizing goodness (not too waxy or greasy! heaven!) that actually sticks to your lips for a long time! so all of these things have me loving it.... its just that its so dainty and delicate a size that i'm afraid to constantly use it like i would like. i mean, ive been using it sparingly and am almost done! that makes it one of the most expensive per amount balms i own :( so that breaks my heart a little, but i wont give up on it! i really really love it, maybe htey're fix the packaging? or maybe i just have unrealistic hopes....

Makeup Brushes -mark - Mini Brush Kit- Go With the Pros
rated 5 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 12/25/2006 4:07:00 PM

OKAY. i cannot rave about this enough. EVERYONE needs this, it is so essential! this is the cutest, most perfect travel brush set ever created. Its a cute little pink brush case that fits five amazing brushes in its zipped up compartment. each one has a clear plastic covering that slides over the bristles to protect it. its so compact but the quality of the brushes is amazing, not dinky travel size quality at all: concealer brush- this is a really nice concealer brush, looks like their full-size one. perfect. eyeshadow brush- this is a nice soft brush that you can really work with, modeled after their full sized one eyeliner brush- i actually like this better than their full sized eyeliner one for some reason. it has the perfect little stiff bristles for applying shadow as liner, but they're not so stiff that they hurt your eye lip brush- they dont have a lip brush in their fullsized line which is reason enough to get this. a really nice brush, perfect size and stiffness to smooth on any lipcolor powder brush- this one is really the star. they fit it in the crease of the case so its a nice round brush. its the perfect size for blush acutally! it fits right on the apple of my cheek. its really full, domed, and soft, not dinky and course like most travelsized brushes. lurve it! overall, i just think this is the best invention ever. they're all such great quality, you need them even if you have all the fullsized ones (like me!). they're indespensible to just throw in your purse for touchups of any kind!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Convertible Eye Color
rated 4 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 12/25/2006 3:57:00 PM

I got three of these (stone, port, and forest) as a gift, and i reeeally really love them. they're really vibrant and smooth liners with a nifty little smudger on one end. i find it takes a bit of smudging and layering and smudging to get the desired effect, but still not as much with other brands, so they're really nice. i just dont know if they should be advertised as eyeshadow/eyeliner duo instead of convertible eyeliner (stress on the eyeliner). stone is a nice dark taupe (greyed brown) that is very useful, port is a pretty royal purple that i really needed as an addition to my stash becuase it looks great with my brown eyes, and forest is a super darkened green (almost like a black but with a surprise green tint). overall i'm very in love iwth these, they really make the smudgey smokey eye thing easy!

Crème -mark - Speedway Do Everything Foundation Stick
rated 5 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 12/25/2006 3:52:00 PM

I love this little stick. i never thought i'd like creme foundations becuaes i like a natural look, but this just melts right into your skin, its amazing! i was so skeptical. its soooo creamy and blendable. i just wish it wasn't so small becuase its DCed and that means i need to stock up alot! i use it as concealer under eyes and around nose and other blotches on a fuss-free day, its just so multipurpose just like the name says. i wish they weren't DCing it! grrr! :(

Blush -Rimmel - Berry
rated 5 of 5
hippiechic_at_mark 12/25/2006 3:49:00 PM

This is one of my top favorite blushes of all time. it just looks soooooo gorgeous on!!!!! its not really a "berry" color, more of a shimmery deep rose. and its so cheap! i love bargains! the packaging doesn't bother me AT ALL. i have four rimmel blushes and i dont see why people gripe about the packaging. the top of the square just lifts off and snaps back on. its easy to take off (easily pry your finger/fingernail under till it pops off, wont break ur nail i promise) and doesn't fall off either. overall, i just can't live without this blush. it gives me a pretty rosey shimmery flush that is just natural and oh so purty!
