I have bought this product several times because I love it so much! It does exactly what it promises: dries up pimples, clears blackheads, and shrinks pores. Anytime my face starts breaking out I slather this stuff on, wait about 15 minutes, wash it off, moisturize and my face looks better later that day! It actually does so much more than it promises because I find the whole experience very relaxing. This mask will forever remain in my bathroom. It really does wonders for your skin! Try it out and if you don't like it, what difference does it make in your wallet? It's only like $3.95 :D
I really love the smell of patchouli and Karma is a lovely scent, but all in all the soap just doesn't deliver. I paid $10 for a pretty small bar of this stuff which is ridiculous. Making soap is really cheap so I'm not sure where Lush gets off selling this stuff for $10 a chunk, organic or not. Pros: -Smells nice -The whole bathroom smells nice after using it -Lingers on skin Cons: -Price -The lather up is terrible -The bar will only last a few showers. -Drying I will not repurchase this. Maybe if it were half the price it is I would consider...
I've been using this stuff for a few days and I love it. I suffer from incredibly dry hands that crack and bleed around my fingers (also because I'm a picker). I rub this stuff into my fingers before nighttime and already after only 3 nights of using it, my fingers look 10 times better. Plus when I have this stuff on I don't pick as much. You can put it anywhere you have dry skin. I also put it on my feet and I've noticed a difference. You really don't need a lot of product either so the tub will last you quite a while. Oh yeah, it smells absolutely divine. I can't keep my nose out of the tub. really! Love this product. Burt's Bees also has a wonderful cuticle cream that isn't as expensive though. I think this product is around $14... :(
I really love this palette. The packaging is nice and convenient and the colors are amazing! This is hands down my favorite palette to use if I want a smokey eye for evening. I like to use the lightest shade as an all over color. If evens out the skin on my eye and makes a perfect canvas for the other shadows. Then I use the grey in my crease, outer portion of my eyelid, and i bring it down and line my lower lashes with it. Finally, I use the darkest color wet and line top lashes and out V. It makes a really beautiful look. Everyone always asks me where I'm going when I use this palette. :) The colors are beautiful, versatile, and reflect Stila's attention to quality. I hate to be a negative Nancy but the eyeliner included is terrible. It smudges too easily, creases, and does not last long. I seriously look like a raccoon after I use this stuff and I don't have greasy eyelids. It's just a bad formula. This is why I took off a lippie. Sorry. At the price I got this palette for I don't even care though.
Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Airbrush-Effect Dry Mist BODY

No, no, and no. There are only a few qualities about this product that I like but none of them are great enough to make me repurchase this. Pros: -Spray on not rub on which helps keep my hands nice -Smell is tolerable -Really nice looking tan at first Cons: -Really hard to make an even tan -Streaky -when the tan starts fading, you will look like a leather handbag -layering does not work -messy I would say this is an okay product if you are looking for something fast and are desperate. I used this because I don't have time to lay out in the sun and tanning beds are the devil. Definitely not going to bother with this stuff again. It might be somewhat worth it for you if you have a friend helping you tan yourself. Personally, I'm not bothering with it again.
Treatments -L'Oreal - Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Serum

Bottom line: did not do anything at all for my skin. Not even any slight different in my pores. $20 totally wasted.
Stella Nude is a fresh fragrance, with notes of roses, peony, fresh vanilla, and grey amber. It smells absolutely lovely. The only thing I do not like about this fragrance is that it does not last long, even for an EDT. I usually wear a rose scented lotion underneath. Do not be shy when spraying this perfume!
I tried this out because a friend recommended it and what a waste. Seriously, $42 dollars for a concealer? I would spend that kind of money if it actually worked but it doesn't. It is incredibly opaque, which I like in a concealer, however it settled in the creases around my eye. It did a better job accentuating my imperfections than it did hiding them. I would not recommend this.
Once again Stila has fooled people with their cute packaging. This product gets so much hype and I'm not entirely sure why. PROS- -Goes on smooth CONS- -Incredibly messy, even after a few hours -Smudges EVERYWHERE. If you put it on your top lid, it will find its way to your bottom lid and into your crease and pretty much everywhere else. -NO longevity WHAT-SO-EVER. This crap just doesn't stay on. PERIOD. -Very waxy I would recommend saving your money. Stila has great shadows and mascara but other than that, its a bunch of over priced crap in cute packaging.
These matte eyeshadows are such a waste of money. First off, the colors are ugly and look incredibly dirty and gross. I have NC30 skin, for reference. They also smell really funky and produce an incredible amount of fallout. Also, what really gets me is that they crease no matter what base/primer you use. I use UDPP and it NEVER fails me, however even my god-send doesn't help these shadows. I can not think of even one good thing I like about this palette. The colors are messy going on and look even worse after a few hours. Fortunately, I didn't pay too much money as I got it in a set.
Foundations -Urban Decay - Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup

I love this mineral makeup. It offers great coverage, a variety of colors for a wide range of skin tones, it does not irritate my skin, and it feels very natural. The packaging is a bit inconvenient so I don't even bother with the powder puffer-thingy that comes with it. I usually use a brush and buff it into my skin. It is so easy to apply and really evens out my complexion. Urban Decay has once again surprised me. I have this color in "illusion." I totally recommend this product!!!
I don't understand why this product got so many bad reviews because I love it! I have fair skin with yellow undertones and this mineral foundation matches perfectly. It minimizes my pores and offers enough coverage to cover my acne marks but not so much that it feels like a mask. Another reason I like this is because I live in Texas and the weather is SUPER humid here and I sweat a lot. With BE, I don't sweat the foundation off. I use a tissue to pat off my sweat and I never see a trace of foundation. I am very in love with this stuff. A little goes a long way and it's pretty easy to use. I also like that the kit comes with two different shades to adjust to your skin. In the summer I am tan and in the winter I'm pale so this kit is pretty ideal. I got the sample kit which came with two foundations, the mineral veil and the baby-buki. It was only $15!!! The pots are really tiny but like I said, a little goes a long way. I love this product!!!
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Vintage Sister lip balms
helloviolindonna 5/25/2009 4:06:00 PM
I'm a sucker for cute stuff so that's mainly why I tried these out. My two favorites so far are cosmopolitan and flirtini. Although they are cute, I wouldn't go out of my way to buy these. There is nothing especially unique about these balms other than the adorable packaging and the scents. The scents are great but once you put the balm on your lips you can't smell it. Actually you can hardly smell the scents when you put it on your finger to apply. I'm not super impressed with these balms by any means. They are moisturizing and they smell nice but that's about it. You could find a better balm at CVS. I think they draw people because of the cute vintage inspired tins, but they are quite a nuisance as dirt always manages to find a way into my balm. :/
Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Foundation Brush
helloviolindonna 4/22/2009 11:38:00 AM
This is a great foundation brush. I used to put on foundation with a sponge but I'm so glad I switched to a brush. This brush is pretty cheap compared to others and it is good quality. It's very soft, easy to use, distributes color easily, etc. The only thing is, since it is rather thick, it takes a while to dry. My suggestion: use it in the morning and wash it immediately afterwards so that t will be ready for the next morning.
Personally, I'm not picky about mascaras and since I'm a student, I don't have a lot of money to spend. I really like this mascara because it gets the job done and it is inexpensive. I think a lot of people probably don't like it because of the wand applicator, but that is exactly why i like it. It takes a few tries to get used to but after that it's smooth sailing. It's great from getting maximum coverage on each eye lash. The wand is plastic and slim, which makes it easy to coat those lashes near the inner eye. It stays on all day, makes my lashes super long, nice color, nice price. It's a good mascara. Also, I think this particular wand is more hygienic that normal mascara wands. I am super clumsy in the morning when I put on my make up and I tend to drop things. So what do you do if you drop your mascara wand on the floor? You don't stick it back in the tube thats for sure. With this wand you can simply rinse it off and start over. I REALLY like this mascara.
