A bit tricky. I'm a nc20 studio fix, combo oily and sensitive skin and got this in natural beige. First things first. The color looks darker coming out of the bottle than when smoothed out on face and dried. Don't think the color coming out is the same. It's definitely not. In fact, it's almost a shade too light on me. But it's alright. Pros- The finish is beautiful, while letting own skin shine through. it evens out skin tone and has a light coverage. Pores are diffused. Blends well. It has a slight semi-matte sheeny finish. Smells nice too. Cons- color out of tube is slightly misleading. Does not really oxidize. Does not come in darker shades than nc20-25 Good for: ppl who want natural light coverage Not for: people who want medium to heavy coverage. People with darker than nc20-25 skin tone (unless they come out with other shades)
EDIT: Ok so I am going to break this review down. One is for the White jar and the other is for the Black/Pink jar. Summary - The white jar is pure evil for skin. It is awful. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. The black/pink jar was seemingly good, but now I am having second thoughts. Myskin is combo, used to be acne prone in my teens and early twnties, slightly dehydrated, sensitive to too many chemicals. So, I've been really into masks. I haved tried a number of clay masks. Rhassoul, french green clay, fullers, aztek, mint julep, nutriganics. I was intrigued by glamglow because of it's reputation and blog reviews. I always wondered why the MUA reviews were so low. I decided to go to Sephora and get a sample of the black jar version. BLACK/PINK JAR: Decent. Now mind you, the black and pink jar are the same product. The pink jar just gives a portion of the proceeds to breast cancer research. I loved the black jar version enough to purchase the full size. BLACK JAR Pros: leaves pores clean Skin glows Skin looks visibly smoother Skin tone is evened out Skin is softer BLACK JAR Con The cost Tingling feeling can be painful for some Wondering if a cyst was caused by the black jar. I don't break out much, so that's why I am suspicious. BLACK JAR Good for People who want something to give them smooth radiant glow who dont have super sensitive skin and are willing to spend money on a mask. BLACK JAR Not for: Ultra Sensitive skin types WHITE JAR REVIEW: Summary: MASK FROM H*LL. Now, when I purchased the black jar, I asked for a sample of the white jar. I decided to try some as a spot treatment on the cyst (which somehow showed up after I used the black jar mask.. hmm...) that I had. I *thought* my cyst looked smaller, but I think it was just my imagination. I put it on my nose to see if it would suck out gunk from my pores. Now mind you, when I washed the mask from my nose, my nose looked clean and super poreless. I then wanted to try it on my face. When I washed the mask off my face, I noticed some grey residue on my face. But overall, it looked pretty ok. Flash forward 10 min, I notice my face covered in a slight rash. Few hours later, I break out!! There are RED SPOTS on my face. I have not broken out for years so I know it's because of this product. My pores look big, my NOSE looked like it's studded with blackheads. THIS MASK IS FROM H*LL. I gave a super low rating, even though the black jar version is fine, because the white jar is from H*LL and no one deserves to have to deal with it. WHITE JAR PROs: You can get a refund WHITE JAR CONS: Broke me out Caused rashes Made pores look worse after a few hours Made skin looked damaged If you want to try these masks, get a sample from Sephora. Try it and made a decision a few hours later. Like I mentioned, at first, the results look great. After a few hours, you will see what it really does to your face.
I recently realized that I have sort of yellow undertones and that my BB cream was just looking too white. I was looking for a yellow setting powder so it could offset the white in my BB cream. Anyway, it was ok.. but not great. Pros : -Lots of powder -Affordable Cons: -Nothing really Good for: People with yellow undertones. People who wear powder regularly (maybe that's why I didn't like it, I don't really wear colored powder on top of a base) Not for: People who don't really like powder. People expecting a very fine powder like HD powders.
I've used a few masks here and there including Mint Julep, Aztec, Rhassoul, French Green Clay. I have oily, combo, and dehydrated skin. I'd say this was the best out of all masks I have used in terms of conditioning and giving a glow. Granted, this is a clay mask, so it's also meant to pull gunk out of your pores. While it did seem to clean out pores as well as any other clay mask, what really won be over was seeing that 'glow'. However, to be fair, that glow probably lasts less than a day.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15
hellothere2013 4/7/2013 2:39:00 AM
I'm love lipbalms in general, so was interested in this. Features: - Hard container, screw cap - Tarty smell (like lemon and sugar) Pros: -Very hydrating without being waxy or plasticy. It's almost like a solidified tube of oil. -Pretty sheer colors Cons -Doesn't last very long on lips -Probably can melt easily This tube was pretty expensive and doesn't beat L'oreal Le Balm.
*Sigh*. I wanted to like this. I was so excited to try this product out as I love Shiseido. I have naturally silky hair. I've found shampoos like pert plus make my hair super shiny. I was curious to see how much better this shampoo would make my hair and was shocked by how horrible it was. My hair feels straw like, my scalp is flaky. I usually can run my fingers through my hair easily, but not this time. I don't really understand why this is when others have no problems. I guess I am an anomaly. It might work out for you..(hey, alot of reviews are positive).
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Fresh Brown Sugar Lip Polish
hellothere2013 2/16/2013 3:07:00 PM
Have you heard of the emperors new clothes? Think the emperors new lip treatment when you see this. Sorry, but this product is hilarious. First of all, my lips tend to be really dry all year round. Aside from the obvious route of making your own sugar polish, this product just didn't work. It did not buff away all of of the dead skin from my lips. I had to resort to removing it with cloth. The sugar just wasn't grainy enough. The oils in it were not very special or kept my lips hydrated for very long (it wore off in 10 min). Seriously people, either make your own or use a washcloth or toothbrush. I bet 'Fresh cosmetics' is laughing at everyone who gets suckered into purchasing this product. It's just SUGAR and Oils. Good for: People who have an aversion to making their own stuff, even if it's super duper simple. Not for: People who have access to sugar and oil at home.
I'm going to try to break down this review. I'm going to give a 'meh' on both the German Nivea and Mexican Nivea as a general moisturizer. The thing I love about it is it's scent and consistency and it's small tin. The thing I don't like about it is how greasy it feels. Now, I'm not a lotion type gal, so tis essentially is pretty useless for me. Maybe in the future I'd be willing to use it. The main reason I got nivea was to try out the whole 'La Mer' dupe theory. I remeber hearing about Jlo buying tons of La Mer for her skin. That connection stayed with me for years to come, and I found it so interesting that people found out that the German Nivea was just like La Mer. The verdict? Well, considering how I haven't really broke out lately, and suddenly a sore pimple appeared the day after I left German Nivea on my face, I'd say it didn't work out too well. Smelling Nivea for longer than 10 minutes can be annoying too. Overall, I just felt like a ton of chemicals were infusing into my face. I didn't notice any sort of glow or even tone skin. I didn't feel like my pores were refined. If anything, aside from the additional pimple, my skin looked a little dehydrated. So now I am left with a large tub of German nivea sitting on my dresser. I gave it a three because I think I should be fair. This isn't meant to be a face cream. Good for: People who don't mind taking a risk on their face to test out the 'La Mer' dupe. People with thirsty skin. Not for: People who don't want to take a risk on their face. People who can't tolerate fragrance in a lotion. People who steer away from oily lotions.
I've been looking into gow products lately and wanted to purchase samples. I thought to myself "hmmmm, what should I purchase." I was looking for the product with some unique ingredients that I possibly never heard of. Something from another country that is hailed as a secret beauty product. When I saw the lemongrass cleanser, I wasn't intrigued by the description. Lemongrass? Thats not unique sounding enough, I thought. Several times I passed this, despite reading such wonderful reviews. I wanted to find somehing with a unique sounding base. I decided to go ahead and purchase it. While I imagined it to be a yellow gel like cleanser, I was surprised to see it to be a dry cleanser meant to exfoliate. And all I have to say is wow. Its made my skin brighter, buffed, refined, and baby soft. It's amazing. Good for: people who want buffed looking soft skin. People who are looking for a exfoliater. Not for: ppl who don't like lemongrass scent, may not be good for super sensitive skins. Ppl who don't like working with dry cleansers.

I just bought it so maybe it's too early to say. Basically this is an ancient remedy for various skin types. It's a facial sponge that can last upto 3 months to help prevent breakouts and clean impurities. It's100% chemical free and made from Konjac, a plant in Asia. I really like how it feels on my skin as I rub it all over. It feels a bit massaging and nice. After I used it, my face looked kind of buffed and had a glow. I guess I don't want to give it a 5/5 yet because I wanted to wait a bit longer. It may change though. They have other versions, so maybe I will give it a try.. Good for: People who like natural products, want a facial massage, and want buffed clean skin Not for: People expecting exfoliation, people expecting some sort of lather (there is none), people who cringe at using and re-using a sponge on your face (is it hygenic?)
This is my alternative to wearing foundation. I slather olay moisturizer on my face and use a brush to put this on. good for: -People who have uneven skin tone that would like to even it out without looking like you wear a mask -people who don't mind medium-slightly heavy coverage -people who don't like foundation but want coverage -people who like a natural learning towards matte finish

Useless if you are accustomed to other facial clothes. This is not supposed to be a dupe of clarisonic btw. It spins a cloth pad over your face. Clarisomic vibrates up and down. Pros: - feels massaging as i use it - buffs away dead skin cells - deep cleaning pads feel refreshing Cons -Requires batteries -doesn't feel very powerful when spinning - cant reach hard to reach places - not ery economic considering you need to replenish batteries and pads. Just buy facial clothes! Good for: ppl who want a electonic tool to help exfoliate Not for: ppl who think this is better than facial clothes. Not for ppl who are looking for a clarisomic dupe.

If you don't mind that suffocating feel of permanent paint on your lips, buy this. Maybe all rub proof lipsticks perform like this, but I refuse to live a life imprisoned by terrible lip paint that can't get off. I will not. Who's with me? Disclaimer: I have not tried another rub free lip stick so I cannot really compare. So my review might be useless if you likr this sort of lipstick.

Review for the gentle version- My skin is sensitive to drugstore products these days. Either it makes my skin look red or dull. So I've been looking for another cleanser. This leaves your face squeaky clean while, at the same time, makes you feel good you are using natural ingredients on your face. Nice deep cleaning cleanser that just works and doesn't leave your skin irritated. Less than a pea size amount is needed to lather up big time. I feel like its made my skin glow a bit too. Good for: ppl who like natural ingredients that want to feel like their skin is clean. Sensitve types that want deep cleaning. Not for: ppl who are expecting some sort of miracle. Maybe theres a little of that though... I did think it made my skin sort of glow.
Best. Lip balm. Ever. I absolutely love these balms. I can't even put into words how amazing these are. But i will try. I favor lip balms that give some color. I like a natural finish- not too glossy, yet not too waxy either. I generally hate vinyl looking lips. These give a beaaaauuutiful color, a nice blanket of breathable moisture, and is long lasting. It just looks so pretty on my lips. Its the right contistency and everything! Good for: ppl who like the 'my lips but better' philosophy. Someone who wants some color and a nice soft balmy finish to lips. Not for: ppl who want opaque lipstick or thick vinyl looking lips
