Styling Products -TRESemme - Instant Heat Tamer Spray

I got this when I first bought a flat iron, and hated it. It made my hair all waxy and sticky, maybe because it sprayed on too heavy. I had to throw it out.

Conditioner -Neutrogena - triple moisture deep recovery hair mask

I have weird hair. It's fine, dull, wavy (not in a good way- my waves are all wonky), and frizzy. Every other deep conditioner I've tried makes my hair FEEL soft and silky to touch, but actually makes it LOOK fuzzy, like a ripped up cotton ball. Those kinds of products also make my hair more flat. This product doesn't do that. I use it once a week and afterwards I can definitely feel that my hair is softer and my scalp feels cleaner, but I don't have that mega-soft frizz that makes my head look all fuzzy. Instead my hair looks more normal and smooth. I've only been using this stuff for about a month, and it's winter. We'll see what happens in the summer humidity when my hair is MEGA frizzy. I may use it on my ends as a leave-in then.

Styling Products -It's a 10 - Miracle Shine Spray

I love this stuff! I have several different hair types and textures on my head and none of them are good. It's flat, stringy, frizzy, dull, and puffy with a lot of "waves" that look more like straight hair that's been bent in a few places than actual S-shapes. Before I got this I'd tried countless other products to make my hair a little shiny and/or define my waves and none of them worked. Most often, I would end up with little frizzies that glistened in the light, which called even more attention to the problem. I'd also tried a few different heat protectors but they all made my hair feel gummy or stiff. I bought this on a whim because the price on the shelf was listed as like $6 or something. I was shocked when it rang up $20 at the register. If I hadn't looked at the wrong price tag I never would have bought this! But I'm so glad I did because it's the best stuff I've ever used. I spray it on damp hair before blow-drying and then just use a round brush to twist my hair in sections as I blow dry, then when I'm done I continue to twist it with my fingers for more definition. It turns out with a LOT less frizz and my waves have a lovely shape with a little bit of shine to them. This stuff also does not gum up my hair or make it puff out in weird places and it doesn't seem to weigh it down either. When I DON'T use it, my finger-twisting method doesn't even work and I have to flat-iron it just to cut some of the frizz and get rid of the pieces of hair that have wonkier shapes. I still don't look like a hair model, but this product makes me happy. It claims to do 10 things but I think the best and most valuable aspects are that it seems to protect from heat, it adds a light, non-greasy shine, makes the little frizzies lay down, and makes hair a lot easier to shape. To me, it's worth the high price tag and I hope they never discontinue it.

Lips -Cover Girl - Outlast Lipstain
rated 3 of 5

I have it in 415, which is a little darker than my natural lip shade, and I like to wear it as a lip liner. I dot the edges of my lips with it and then blend it with my finger, and it looks great; very natural, like I have fuller, shapelier lips without any product on them. I do have to reapply every so often. I've worn it as full lipstick a few times and it looks good like that too, but it feels kinda funny and it tends to adhere to and saturate the drier places on my lip. I brush my lips every time I brush my teeth and I put chapstick on all the time so my lips aren't that dry, but if you have anything like that this stuff makes it really obvious.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast

I don't wear mascara very often and I haven't tried very many of them. That said, I'm not too crazy about this. It doesn't look bad or anything, but half the time I try to use it I can't unscrew the wand because it gets stuck. And this formula is really hard to remove, which bothers me a lot.

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Naturally Ageless Eye Cream
rated 3 of 5

I bought this because I'm in my mid-20s and figured I should start being pro-active about my skin and I know moisturizing your eye area can help prevent wrinkles, which I already have because I rub my eyes like crazy! I like this stuff because it sinks in quickly without leaving a greasy film, and it smells really good. It comes in a cute little pot that looks nice, but strikes me as unsanitary. I always make sure I have clean hands before I start dipping my finger in the cream. Overall I'm not sure I'll buy this again though. It's too expensive and I think I want something a little more moisturizing. I do love the smell though and I would definitely buy a body lotion that smelled like this. For the record, I don't think it's fair to give a low rating just because it didn't eliminate wrinkles that you already have... that seems like an unreasonable expectation :/

Cleansers -Skin effects by Dr. Jeffrey Dover - Glycolic Cream Cleanser

I've been using this for just over a week. I'm 26 and my skin is worse than it was when I was a teenager. Every time I get the tiniest little zit it lingers forever, then leaves a dark mark on my face that takes 6 months to go away. I was dealing with a mega-breakout on my face, along with a ton of clogged pores, and I ran out of my usual acne scrub (which obviously wasn't working anymore), so I bought this on a whim without doing any research. The first time I used this I could feel a slight stinging on my zits, and my face felt smoother afterward. Now, after a week of use, my cheeks are clearing up, but I have a fresh crop of nasty red pimples along my jawline. By the time I started using this product, I'd gotten my period so my cheeks were starting to clear up on their own. So I'm really not sure if this product works for acne. I do have to say that most of the pimples that just went away did not leave such a bad red mark as they usually do. And my clogged pore problem is gone. Before I started using this cleanser I could lightly run my nails over my face and a bunch of oil plugs would come out. I don't really have that problem now. So even if it's not clearing up my acne, it's doing other good things.
