Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser

I really liked the cream version of this product because it controlled my extreme combination skin AND made my pores itty-bitty. But since I had a lot to iof oil, I thought the original one of this would work out better for me. Goshes, I was wrong. SInce my skin is combination, the dry areas on my face FLAKED OUT so much It didn't have the pore-minimizing effect it promises either. Since your pores get bigger because it's trying to get all the moisture it's losing and this one doesn't moisturize, my pores actually got bigger. The only thing it lives up to is that it does remove makeup quite well and it does control oil. Too bad the oil control might be a little too much. I would only and STRICTLY recommend this to people who have extremely oily skin, not combination but OILY. It might work better for you that way. If you have dry and combination skin, stick to the pink one. It'll control oil but not so much that your skin turns into flaky earwax.

Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20
rated 3 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 7/15/2010 6:18:00 PM

There were a lot of people that recommended this to me because they said it worked fantastically, which sucked me in because I was on a tinted moisturizer hunt. The pump was a little hard to work with, but it was pretty. The consistency was smooth too, and it had a pleasant smell which was good. The I wore it until I couldn't get another squeeze out, but it did nothing for me! It was supposed to fade acne scars like everyone says, but nope. They were still there and I was disappointed. I won't be purchasing again, but since so many people love it, you should give it a shot.

Tinted Moisturizer -Boots - No7 Soft and Sheer Tinted Moisturiser
rated 5 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 7/15/2010 6:13:00 PM

I purchased this before, but I couldn't use it because I realized my skin was lighter than their "medium" shade. So I bought it in light, and I loveeee it. The packaging is just regular I think, a lotion bottle. It's really smooth and soft, easy to blend. It only takes 30 seconds to apply. It gives me a nice, dewy glow that lasts for about 3-6 hours, which isn't long but you can't expect much from a tinted moisturizer. There was something that really amazed me, though. After only a week of consistent use, I noticed my huge acne scars were fading away. Most of them were gone actually. Even my terrible acne started to smooth out after a recent breakout. And now this is my HG product. I'll wear it even during the winter!

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Cream Cleanser

I think I just found my new HG cleanser. I honestly have no complaints about this product! I was so excited to see the commercials but my friend recommended it to me because she said it made her pores smaller (she has absolutely perfect skin, so I had to believe her XD) First, the scrublet is amazing! It works so great and it cleans everything out so well :D I LOVE IT ^-^ I have oily and acne-prone skin and this helped with both. Cream cleansers are supposed to help dry skin more than oily and I couldn't get the gel one because the store didn't have it when I went there, but this still controls my oil so well o.o And it's not even formulated to target acne, but it still helped because it cleans out everything, leaving a tingly sensation. Me likey~~ LOL XD My pores are huge on and around my nose and under my eyes. Like, about the size of Manhattan -____- but now they're noticeably smaller :P It also leaves my skin bright and whiter everytime I use it, so that's a major plus :D (Whiter skin looks more youthful on Asian skin due to the contrast with out hair XD aha if you wanted that explanation ;D) Its packaged really nice so no complaints, but a mere suggestion : they should add an easy to control pump ^_^ those make life so much easier ^_~ It's only 5.99 if you get it at Target, so not bad at all for such high quality!~ It delivers everything it promises, especially the makeup removing part ;D I recommend this product 15098689454809 times to anyone, and they have a whole line so that you can customize it according to your skin type! I love it so much, it's the best cleanser I've ever tried ^^

Liquid -Almay - Almay Truly Lasting Color longwear makeup
rated 5 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 3/19/2010 11:48:00 PM

Could this be my new HG foundation? I think so -^.^- POSITIVES -Really controllable pump. It's pretty awesome ;D -SPF 15 (I'm deathly afraid of getting tan 0.0) -Lasts for a really long time, even on my sopping wet oily skin -Helps with acne (I need this a lot -.-) -Gives a brighter complexion -Easy to blend -Cheap for something that high quality -Gives me good coverage from my horrible acne NEGATIVES -Only 9 Shades -Though it's a good price for HQ, it's a tiny bit pricey for drugstore -Doesn't work for a couple of skin types -Easily slides around in the summer for some (not me) -Promises to last 16 hours, only lasts about... 10. My all time favorite things about this foundation: -Works better than all the foundations I've tried. Colorstay breaks me out, Rimmel Lasting Finish only lasts 5 minutes (Not even kidding, it's true T.T) It says on my skin for the whole day, even though my face produces more oil than the local drilling factory. -Soothes irritated skin -I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the pump -My skin is oily but in the oily areas, I get dry patches o.O but this foundation restricts the oil while nourishing the dryness :D -Good for going out I can't recommend it to people because it tends not to work for them =[ but for me, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and it's the best <3

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'n' Soft waterproof mascara (vitamin E)
rated 4 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 3/16/2010 10:30:00 PM

This mascara is really great if you want a natural looking mascara. It makes your lashes fluffy and soft looking, almost like you're not wearing any mascara at all. Since this is the waterproof version, it holds curl better than the regular. The packaging is nothing special, but the wand is nice, there are a lot of bristles. You can coat almost any lash you want to, I love using it on the bottom lashes. If you really hate mascara smudges at the end of the day, don't get it! It smudges pretty easy. Another great way to use this mascara is if you use it as an undercoat to another mascara, because it won't clump or droop. Actually, this mascara is almost impossible to clump, unless you apply 50 million coats (which nobody would do ^.~) I love this mascara and I'm definitely looking forward to purchasing it again in the future! <3

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto - Waterproof
rated 4 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 11/30/2009 12:07:00 PM

I decided to buy this mascara because I hated the non-waterproof version and I thought this was going to be better. It was, and I'm glad I bought it. First, Maybelling promised amazingly long lashes with a patented shine. The volume was barely there, the curl was ok, the lengthening was great. However, the promised shine was not evident. The packaging is beautiful, the wand is great for getting into those pesky inner lashes. Price was alright, but all in all, pretty nice mascara.

Primer/ Corrector -Boots - Botanics Soothing & Calming Eye Base
rated 3 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 11/29/2009 4:10:00 PM

This is a really nice base. The price is a little pricey. The packaging is convenient. The color is a little dark, but it's easy to blend. I have oily eyelids, and this base helps my eyeshadows stay for a while. The colors came out more vibrant than without. But after I came home from school, which is about seven hours, the eyeshadow creased. You got your good and your bad, but overall this base is ok.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 3 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 11/22/2009 1:47:00 PM

I tried this out because I heard a lot of good reviews about it, how it was similar to MAC's foundation. I got the combination/oily skin one, in Golden Beige. The packaging, it's ok but it needs a little improvment. A pump wouldn't hurt, eh Revlon? Anyways, my skin is oily, and I thought maybe this foundation would be the one that stay the whole day. I was wrong, it stayed maybe 2-4 hours. Coverage is pretty nice, nothing worth raving over. Blending was difficult, but it left a flawless natural finish. After a day or two, it broke me out and I think I've had an allergic reaction to it, however my skin is sensitive. It felt a little sticky on my face, and it felt like it kept sliding off. It actually brought on more oils from my face than ever before, so I don't want to take the risk anymore. It smells a little strange, it's hard to describe. Hope this review was helpful.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves Waterproof
rated 2 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 11/22/2009 1:32:00 PM

I decided to use this product because of good reviews about the non-waterproof one from a friend. When I was at the store I thought that since it was waterproof it would hold my curl better, so I bought it immediately. The packaging is very intruiging, in a shape that draws attention. When I opened it up I was excited to try the wand because it looked like this was going to be foolproof. I tried it and I basically hated it. You would expect this procduct to hold curls well because of the name, but my curled lashes went completely straight, even though I have somewhat naturally curly lashes. No volumizing for me, no length, just clumps. The only good thig about this mascara is that it's very smooth.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof
rated 4 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 10/22/2009 12:02:00 AM

I enjoyed this mascara for many reasons. It was extremely volumizing, like CoverGirl's LashBlast, without the rubbery brush. Held my curl decently due to the waterproofing. Unlike the regular version, it didn't have the overpowering rose smell, however it did smell like something else, something unrecognizable in my view. The brush is quite large, however I got into my innermost lashes eventually. The big bulky packaging isn't too "travel makeup" friendly but it is quite worth it. As far as price goes, it's cheaper than LashBlast but could maybe drop another 50 cents. Smudging wasn't present and flaking wasn't an issue. Will repurchase in the near future.

Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation
rated 2 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 7/1/2009 1:32:00 PM

I wrote a review before ; but it wasn't very detailed, so I'll change it. ^.~ I got this product a year ago in result of a good review from Michelle Phan. That was a hugeee mistake! The packaging is pretty simple, though it seems a little flimsy. If you put it in your purse, it could unscrew itself and get all over everything -.-" I have combination and acne-prone skin (supersupersuper acne-prone) and I don't even LIKE mineral makeup because it results in horrible outcomes later on. But I guess this seemed interesting? Anyways, I applied it was a stippling brush for the first time, being careful not to apply too much. Well, it made my T-Zone 124567876543 times more oily than usual in the first 15 minutes, and it became splotchy in my T-Zone and dried out my skin on my cheeks and around my chin. I thought it was just the way I was applying it, so I used a kabuki brush the second time. Same results, except for one change. 7 million new blemishes. It even have me blackheads, which to this day, I have not been able to get rid of T.T" My acne has recently gotten better from when it was horrible, but this foundation made it so much worse I was about to break down in tears! Also, the coverage - ehh. Actually, more than an EHH. It's like RRRHHHHGGG. Instead of covering, it brought out, and I hated that. I don't recommend it to anyone, except maybe people with normal skin, but still beware. A lot more things could go wrong!

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Did nothing to my lashes except clumping them. Do not buy, waste of money and time.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Cover Girl Professional Mascara (washable)
rated 5 of 5
hellokittytrooper528 6/30/2009 12:16:00 PM

This is my favorite mascara of all time. No clumps ever. I let it dry and put on another coat it STILL didn't clump. Very nice curls, nice length, nice volume. Very cheap, I got it for less than $4. Packaging is ok. the wand is also pretty unique. I think this is an "underdog" mascara that doesn't get much attention but whoever buys this will be pleased. However, I must warn you, you might have to wait a bit, maybe a week or two after purchasing, for the formula to thicken up.
