Lip Treatments -Bath and Body Works - Savannah Bee Company Beeswax Lip Tint in Blackberry
hellina2000 4/21/2006 12:07:00 PM
I'm in love! This has the perfect amount of slip and gives me just a hint of soft shine and color. I also love the blackberry scent and flavor, which is fresh and fruity. It is on the expensive side for lip balm at $5.50 for a tube — twice what I pay for my beloved Burt's Bees. However, I don't like the Burt's Bees tints, so this one wins hands down when I want a colored lip balm. I would definitely buy again, though I'm not sure which tint I'd try. The rest are sort of in the brown family and I'm more of a berry-rose kind of girl when it comes to lippies.

Moisturizers -Serious Skin Care - vit - c night cream
hellina2000 6/27/2005 11:33:00 AM
I got this night cream with the C-no wrinkle anniversary kit. Yes, I succumbed and bought it during the HSN special. I used the night cream once. It's got a nice velvety texture and inoffensive scent. But, hello, it's got mineral oil and I could feel it clogging my pores after just one application. Maybe I can use it on my body. There are some products in the kit I like OK (cleanser, serum are two that I actually use with some regularity) but overall I feel like this kit was a mistake impulse purchase. At least, at $89 for a ton of products it wasn't too expensive a mistake. After this, I programmed my TV so I don't get HSN.

Eye Shadow -Sonia Kashuk - Enhance Eye Color- Cashmere
hellina2000 5/11/2005 5:07:00 PM
I'm surprised this got so many so-so reviews. This is my everyday base color shadow. It's a perfect shimmery-but-not-too-glitzy nude on my PPP skin. I like to put this on and then line with Milani shadow in Java Bean. Perfect! Sometimes I will wash another color lightly over the top. I haven't been able to find Cashmere at my local Target stores lately though, so I'm looking for a replacement. Wah.

Treatments -Aubrey Organics - rosa mosqueta rose hip seed oil
hellina2000 3/24/2005 12:51:00 PM
I've only been using this for a couple of days, but I already love it. I am always looking for something to keep my eyes hydrated. I have allergies that leave me with watery eyes, so I often feel tight and itchy, although at 32, I don't really have much in the way of lines. I find the Aubrey rose hip seed oil does the job and doesn't seem to wash off like creams often do. It comes packaged in a small glass vial with a rollerball applicator. At first I didn't care for the rollerball, because it doesn't dispense much. But now I think that is probably keeping me from putting too much on. My eye area feels great! I got it for $10 at Vitamin Shoppe.

Treatments (Eye) -DDF - EPF Eye Serum C3
hellina2000 12/3/2004 1:28:00 PM
I am constantly searching for the perfect eye cream. I'm 32, good skin, not a lot of visible wrinkles. My main concern is hydration and being proactive about preventing fine lines. A Sephora sales associate recommended this serum. And even though it's a serum, I find that it is hydrating enough for me. Sinks in quickly and seems to keep everything smooth and taut. I will buy again, but it is a bit expensive — $75. Glad it comes in a pump bottle.

Powder -Jane Iredale - Amazing Base Loose Finishing Powder
hellina2000 8/18/2004 2:53:00 PM
Just got the loose version of this in light beige and I love it. I normally don't wear foundation, just concealer to cover dark circles and hyperpigmentation. I have melasma on my upper lip (thank BC patch) and this covered like a dream. I have congenital dark circles that no amount of concealer seems to cover and this DID!! I skipped concealer for the first time in my makeup-wearing life. The two down sides are the price (though I picked this up on ebay for $22 compared to the $46+ you'd pay retail) and the fact that it seems to stimulate my oil glands. I have to blot a little more than usual (I have combo skin). However, for the coverage, awesome natural look and feeling of not wearing anything on my face, I can deal. I probably will buy this in cool sand or bisque (the two lightest shades) for winter. I am a stila 30 watts.

Skincare - Face -Exuviance - Daily Essential Fluid SPF15
hellina2000 8/16/2004 3:50:00 PM
I love Exuviance's night cream, so I was excited to try this (I got a generous sample from Ulta) but I really hated it. The texture seemed sort of gummy on and I prefer a higher SPF. It made my face look really slick and shiny and it seemed to take a while to absorb. I ended up taking the stuff off with toner and putting on my HG - June Jacobs Protective Moisturizer. Won't be spending any money on this.

Lip Treatments -Elizabeth Arden - Eight Hour Lip Cream with Blush tint
hellina2000 4/15/2004 10:56:00 AM
I love this product. It's the best lip balm/treatment with tint I've used. I like that the color is sheer and it's got a nice texture - not sticky or gummy. Not a lot of shine like you'd get with a gloss. But I find it really does help when my lips are chapped and I still want some color.

Cleansers -DHC - Fresh Cleansing Gel
hellina2000 4/13/2004 10:07:00 PM
I looove DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil so I had high hopes for this product. But this greasy, Vaseline-like gel not only didn't remove my makeup - it gave me hideous, bag-over-face breakouts over my forehead and chin. I had to run to Sephora for a peel kit to help it clear fast and I still didn't want to go out in public for at least a week. Beware!!
