Lavender is my go-to for pimples and breakouts. I have reasons to believe that I have hormonal acne, because no matter what cleanser and moisturizer I use and no matter how natural they are, I still end up breaking out from time to time. Whether I switch products or not, I still break out! So until I find a solution, lavender oil is my hero. I love how it is a natural solution to acne. I try my best to steer from using harsh chemicals on my skin. Lavender oil is VERY soothing and it also has great anti-bacterial properties. It does a great job of reducing the size of my acne. I mix about 1 drop of lavender oil with 2-3 drops of avocado oil, rub it between my hands to heat it up, and massage it onto my face and wherever I have acne. My pimples don't go away overnight, rather it gradually reduces and dries up. Lavender oil does a wonderful job in speeding up the process. it also calms my skin down and I literally feel the slightly cooling/soothing sensation!

Shampoo -Alba Botanica - Cocoa butter dry repair hair wash

This seriously smells SUPER YUMMY! Like a chocolately vanilla-y... cocoa-y.. mmm! I want to eat it so bad! So this shampoo claims that it's for dry hair, but even I have oily hair and this feels like it dries my hair out! Bummer =( Yet somehow, it doesn't clean well.. it just strips. If that makes sense. It leaves my hair in quite a few tangles as well. After I use this, I find myself using more conditioner than I would regularly use. So now I use it as a body wash. Makes my skin smell yummy! haha

Shampoo -Shi Kai - Color Reflect Deep Shampoo

I purchased and used this product for the first time today. I have to say I was really impressed at how it rinsed out most of all. because my hair is tangle-prone, I dread shampoos that leave my hair feeling stripped. The product smells kinda like apples.. nothing offensive at all. The texture is really thick so you don't really need a lot, especially because it is recommended that you only focus on your scalp. A quarter size amount was all I needed and maybe even less than that. When i rinsed this out, my hair felt SMOOTH! It was also almost tangle-free which was a surprise compared to the other shampoos I've used. I don't know if I will notice any color reflects because my hair is black already but I'm still happy with the results and I willl update if I ever change my mind. As of now, definitely repurchase =)

I really like the natural color this product gives. it doesn't make your face look orange or streaky. however, it takes a long time to build color up. i guess its because every time i wash my face, i exfoliate it with a towel but that is just how I wash my face. I can't say the same for somebody who does not exfoliate their face daily. maybe the color builds faster. however, I'm satisfied with this product because it does not break me out and I would only apply it at night because it makes my face look really oily.

I love the concepts behind Aubrey Organics. I initially bought this conditioner because I tried the shampoo before and the scent smelled so good! It was like a cherry+baby smell. When I squeezed the conditioner out, it smelled just as delicious as the shampoo. it was very thick so I thought it would be very moisturizing. Though it did smooth and detangle my hair in the shower, once I rinsed it out, I felt like I was rinsing out the smoothness as well. it didn't really do much to my hair even though my hair is oily to start out with. i've recently started using blowdryers and I needed my hair to retain its moisture. I don't think this one helps but I would recommend it to those who don't need that much moisture and who don't often use heat on their hair.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Avocado Oil

I'm going to write a new review about it since now I can say that I have more experience with this product than before. The oil itself is thicker than most of the oils I've used (including Jojoba oil and Vitamin E oil). I used to use about 3-4 drops of jojoba oil but now i only need about 2 drops of avocado oil to cover my whole face. I only use it at night because it is too oily for daytime use. Before I apply this, I make sure to cleanse my face well because that way my pores will be clear of dirt and gunk, maximizing the benefits of the avocado oil. Then I rub the oil between my clean palms to create heat and then I massage it into my skin until I feel like it has been absorbed. Recently, I've been using Trader Joe's Vitamin E oil after running out of my avocado oil (however, the first ingredient is soybean oil...) and it hasn't been really making a difference in my skin since I broke out (most likely due to hormones). So I gave it a few days and my acne is still there, slightly reduced, but very stubborn. Last night I returned to my avocado oil and in the morning, my pimples have DRAMATICALLY reduced (the same miracle that happened last time when I first used avocado oil) and now I'm sitting here, baffled by why I ever wanted to stray from my precious avocado oil!

Love this oil! I massage it in my face every night. It provides great moisture and doesn't break me out at all even with my oily skin. They are easy to find at any health store. Edit: I foudn that this doesn't seem to be causing any acne, but it also doesn't seem to help. I would recommend this for those with dry skin, but not for acne

Conditioner -Giovanni - Smooth As Silk Conditioner

I'm a little bit "ehh" on this product because it doesn't really condition my hair. When I apply it, it makes my hair smooth and silky. But when I wash it off, it feels squeeky clean and not as slippery anymore to the point where I could have just skipped the conditioner and my hair would feel the same. I always need to use the giovanni's leave in after using this. For reference, my hair is a little on the oily side, but always gets tangled so I need a good conditioner.

Whether you will get used to the smell or if you'll absolutely hate it after a couple of sniffs really depends on your tolerance. For me, smell doesn't matter as long as it fades away. I got over it after a few days. This is a great toner because it makes your face feel refreshed. I can't tell if this removes extra dirt and makeup because I don't wear face makeup and my cleanser (using Trader Joe's tea tree oil soap) already removes everything. This just makes my face feel refreshed and ready for moisturizing.

Conditioner -Aubrey Organics - BGA Protein + Strengthening Cream Rinse

This is my HG conditioner! It makes my hair so soft and manageable every time I use it. The consistency is very liquidy so usually I use two squeezes out of the bottle. That is why I use it up so fast. I use it everyday too. I'm not sure if it strengthens my hair like it says, but it definitely reduces the chances of getting split ends and makes my hair really noticeably shiny! Without this my hair tangles really really easily because its really fine. With this, by the end of the day I don't even really need to comb any tangles out! It's even good to massage in your scalp because it doesn't weigh your hair down at all. You should actually put conditioner in your hair (you just need the RIGHT KIND of conditioner) because if your scalp dries out, it may produce more oil to compensate and that will defeat the purpose. This doesn't give my oily hair any problems, and I feel so comfortable using it directly on the scalp. I can't speak for those with thicker, drier hair, but if you have oily thin hair, and hair that gets tangled easily, you should definitely give this a try. Also i really like the smell! Took me about 1-2 uses to get used to it, and now I love it :] Oh yeah, be sure to rinse it out completely! Update: this is STILL my HG. i've been around experimenting with different conditioners and I can honestly say that no other conditioner lives up to this one. I mainly wanted to look for an alternative conditioner that has a more feminine smell (this one does not smell awful though) but I decided not to sacrifice scent for quality. though this scent also is pretty strong in the shower, it isn't offensive. This conditioner nourishes and smooths out my hair like no other and that's why I keep coming back to it. Bought my third bottle last week.

This is a good sunscreen, I presume, but not the best on your face. It broke me out twice and made me oily. But it smells good and isn't irritable on the skin. It also blends in well. Just don't use it on your face!

I love this lip balm! It smells sooo tropical and natural. It also moisturizes very well. One thing I like is where the twisty thing is to get the product up. It's pretty unique ^_^ Also I love the packaging-it's so colorful and unique. But I know that the quality of the product is so much more important than the acutal packaging itself and I can say that this is an HG status moisturizing lip balm. The only thing I would add to make this more than perfect is an SPF.

Shampoo -Trader Joe's - Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo

I bought this thinking that it was a good everyday clarifying shampoo for my oily hair but it doesn't clean my hair well enough. Even though this has tea tree oil in it, it's not as clarifying for me at least. Towards the middle of the day, my hair becomes oily again. This is probably for normal/dry hair. The GOOD news is that I use this as a face wash because I figured since it's so gentle, it wouldn't hurt. So I've been using this as a daily facial cleanser and it does the job without drying my skin out. I think as long as a product is natural and gentle, it can be used as a face wash (in most cases). I haven't broken out either. and so for that reason only, I will repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - 100% Naturals - Botanical Medley

Chapstick is my favorite lip brand :) They are very reliable and their products perform wonderfully. I am a freak for natural products, so of course when they're 100% naturals line came out, I had to get my hands on one of them! I got the Lip Butter one before and loved it, but I wanted to try the Botanical Medley this time. This is just as good, but I would choose this over the Lip Butter just because it smells SOOOO good to me. I think I smell a hint of 7up or Sprite o_O yumm. (I'm probably the only one who thinks this) And it IS moisturizing and it is long lasting! I honestly have nothing bad to say about this product, but I just wish it was a TAD cheaper.

Scrubs -Alba Botanica - Pineapple Enzyme Facial Scrub

I use this scrub 2-3 times a week, and on the other days I just wash my face with water. This scrub makes my skin feel amazing afterwards. It's not harsh and rough, which is actually a good thing because you don't want to damage or irritate your skin by literally scratching it with granules. This gently removes dirt and oil and leaves my face fresh and glowy =) I do not believe this makes me break out.
