Lip Gloss -NYX - Smokey Look
rated 3 of 5

Price: $5.50 Purchase Place: Ricky's Product: Smokey Look Mega Lip Gloss I love the smell, I was hoping for more on the peachy side but overall I would say it's a beautiful color. Texture is nice and not too creamy but has a nice bubble gum smell. Would I buy again, probably not just because I'm in search of the perfect peach gloss and this is more on the coral side but would I recommend buy it, definitely and it doesn't take a lot out of your pocket.

Blush -NYX - Cinnamon
rated 4 of 5

Price: $ 6.00 Purchase Place: Ricky's Product: Cinnamon Blush I was looking for the perfect peach/coral highlight for my cheeks and I definitely found the perfect color. At first I was a little intimidated by the vibrancy of the color but actually it's not as bright as it may seem. Perfect for olive and tan skin and a little goes a long way. I do wish that it came with a brush but considering the compact square size I'm sure a brush that would be compatible with the packaging would not allow enough blending. The price was perfect and my skin is very picky so I as a bit worried about breaking out but a few weeks of use and all seems good.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
rated 1 of 5

With my mother being a huge fan of Fresh I've always been tempted to try one of their tinted lip balms because I'm a sucker for packaging and I'm always looking for as nice shade that has spf. I have to admit all their products are a bit pricey so luckily my with one of my mother's purchases she was given a sample. I must say beyond the cute packaging I was completely disappointed with the product. The application stayed on on for about five minutes, the balm stick is mushy and seems to get all over the tube because any sort of pressure warps the straightness of the stick. And I must note this is not due to warm weather or me keeping it in my pocket. Sadly but probably for the best I will not be purchasing any of their SUGAR lip care.

Brows -NYX - Eyebrow Cake Powder - ECP02 Dark Brown/Brown
rated 3 of 5
heinesite 3/13/2013 4:57:00 PM

So I'm always trying to find the perfect eyebrow powder or liner for my sparse Asian eyebrows. After going to Ricky's I decided why not try NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Black/Gray. Package: comes with two pressed powders, one in grey and one in black with a little pot of wax. A mini angled brush and a spoolie. Price: 5.99 on Ulta.com Pros: Two options of black and gray allowing a variation to define and fill in your brows. Color matched perfect with my brows as most others I find have too much brown in them or are too black and look unnatural. Cons: You need to use your own eyebrow brush, the one that comes with it is very stiff and a bit too thick to draw the outside thinner part of the eyebrow. You definitely need some sort of eyebrow wax or sealer to keep the powder in place and the one that comes with it for me is a bit too gloss when the light hits your eyebrow. Overall I would buy the product again because the shades are a perfect match for me and a great price but I do need to find a better sealer for the powder.

So I have finally found an eye shadow that stays on, glides on smoothly, blend-able and portable for everyday use. I have tried so many different brands and this is truly a keeper. I use this with Browne deluxe and it is so amazingly perfect.

Mascara -New York Color - Big Bold Ultra Volume Mascara
rated 4 of 5
heinesite 10/3/2012 2:57:00 PM

If you're Asian we all know that getting that curl is a pain. I've been thru so many different types of mascara that eiter promise length, volume or non-clumping. This has definitely been a favorite so far. NYC gives both the curl and the thickness that I've been looking for and at 2.99 it's worth a try. You do need a couple of coats to get the volume and I do wish the brush wasn't a teddy bear bristle but for what it's worth I'm very surprised with the results.

Primer/ Corrector -Lioele - Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm
rated 3 of 5
heinesite 9/10/2012 8:35:00 PM

I luckily got a few samples of the product so I wasn't inclined to initially buy the cute little jar. Great amazing matte silky texture and felt great on my skin but for the jar size I felt it was a bit expensive to purchase the full jar since a little doesn't seem to go a long way and it's a bit thick. I used mineral foundation so I'm not sure how well this would work with liquid. And as for making pores seem less invisible I didn't really see a difference. If you want to try it I think amazon has the better price deal.

Powder -Neutrogena - SkinClearing mineral powder
rated 4 of 5

I was looking for better coverage than my BareMinerals because my face had a horrible breakout and I must say this did great and was less translucent than the BareMinerals. Unfortunately I scar dark when my skin heals from anything and this hid it much better than my usual minerals. A nice matte finish during the hot summer days and since I have a nice dark tan it seemed to blend nicely with my skin tone without making me look dirty.

Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel

I've been looking for a primer that does smell and feels amazing. This does both at such a great price. I have oily olive skin and this does great with my skin. I am so glad I came across this on so many forums. I've tried Liole's Pore Rich Balm and this is comparably just as amazing at a lesser price.

Scrubs -Origins - Never A Dull Moment Skin Brightening Facial Polisher
rated 4 of 5
heinesite 9/10/2012 7:51:00 PM

I love the product but I am so disappointed in the change of the packaging. A smaller size, in a tube and the same price. The jar goes a longer way in the fact it can be watered down a little to make a lot more. Maybe they figured that part out. I guess when I run out I will have to find a new face polisher...any suggestions are welcome.

I love the texture of this and it doesn't seem like it irritates my eyes. I'm not sure how much my skin tone has changed but I do like it as a moisturizer.

I've been using this for a month and really haven't seen much of a difference in the texture of my skin it seems a bit oily for day use. I absolutely hate the dropper packaging but I guess in this instance you get what you paid for.

Moisturizers -Beyond Belief - Vita c+ skin nutrients spf 15 suncreen daily moisture
rated 3 of 5
heinesite 9/4/2012 7:29:00 PM

I was really hoping this would be a nice facial moisturizer but I find the texture to be a little heavy for summer days maybe in the winter it might be better. It has a nice smell and the price was very reasonable so at least I didn't feel like I threw away money.

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Seaweed Shine Control Moisturizer SPF 15
rated 4 of 5
heinesite 9/4/2012 7:24:00 PM

I received a couple of samples of the product and so far I love it. It's a nice creamy lightweight texture and of course I love the fact it has SPF 15. Perfect for underneath my mineral makeup. I must say it is a tad expensive but when I run out of my current SPF day moisturizer I will definitely be purchasing the full version of this product.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Sweet Almond Oil
rated 3 of 5

I been using the Aura Cacia brand for about a month at night and to be honest it really does do much for my skin. It doesn't seem to absorb well into my skin like their grapeseed oil. I even tried using it to remove my makeup since I have a whole bottle but that doesn't work well either.
