Lipstick -MAC - Sweet Thing
heavenly_seas2 7/16/2009 2:04:00 AM
Sweet Thing is a somewhat cool-toned sheer magenta with silvery shimmer. I think this would look great on a variety of skin tones. It applies very smoothly and much more toned down than it looks in the tube. It's similar to All's Fair-just a little cooler/more purple. It's a luster so staying power isn't the greatest, but I love it nonetheless. For reference, I'm NC25-30 with yellow undertones.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in See Sheer
heavenly_seas2 7/16/2009 1:50:00 AM
I love this l/s! The color is a perfect coral pink and very flattering on warm-toned skin. It's an easy, fresh lippie that brightens up the face and is great for daytime wear. It's buildable to a deeper coral. I find it's quite pigmented compared to some of my other Mac lustres. Staying power is so-so, but I love the color so much I don't mind having to reapply.

Lipstick -MAC - Snob lipstick
heavenly_seas2 7/16/2009 1:39:00 AM
Snob is a very cool-toned, milky, light pink. It seems to have an almost lilac tinge to it. It's a pretty and unique color, but very difficult for me to wear. I feel most self conscious in this l/s even though it isn't my brightest or boldest lippie. I have somewhat pigmented lips and Snob covers them right up. I really like the opaque creaminess of the formula-also, it lasts longer than many of my other MAC l/s. I'm NC25-30 with very yellow undertones and find I like Snob best with cool-toned gray or charcoal eye make up and neutral beige or cool pink blush.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen mascara
heavenly_seas2 7/16/2009 12:43:00 AM
I've tried soooo many mascaras and I have my favorites for different sort of looks. This mascara is great for creating dramatic, fluttery, long lashes. It's very easy to wash off and leaves my lashes feeling soft. It doesn't make them crunchy and dry like so many other mascaras. My only complaint is that it smudges a tiny bit if I get really sweaty or fall asleep with it on.
I have a few tips for using this mascara: it works great with a base/primer; to avoid clumps-wipe excess product off the wand and don't wiggle the wand when applying-it looks best to lightly brush it along the length of your lashes; two coats are all you need; it's a pretty wet mascara so give it time to dry.
For reference, my natural lashes are med-long, very straight, and fine.

BB Cream -MISSHA - M Perfect Cover BB Cream

If I didn't have such dry skin I'd really like this so much more. I got the lightest color (bright beige, I think) when I should have got the darker one (I'm NC25-30), but it still blends in really well and doesn't look unnatural. It does have a pretty strong smell, but it's not unpleasant and it fades. My skin is pretty dry and I get flakes on the sides of my nose, my forehead, and sometimes my chin. When I first put this on it feels very moisturizing and looks great, but after a couple of hours you can see my flakies. I mainly uses this as a concealer now under my eyes and any pink areas and it's great for that. When summer comes around I'll probably be able to wear this allover no problem.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Bathed and Infused Lea

I got this in a free sample. At first sniff I get a strong blast of cherry (I do with all almond scents), but as it dries down I smell the almondy vanilla and a hint of musk. I have never smelled the original, but BI's version is delicious. It's comforting and sophisticated at the same time.

Fragrances -Les Nereides - Douceur de Vanille

I really love this! At first it does smell like a strong baby powder, but it quickly dries down to a very soft, pretty, powdery vanilla. I put mine in a roller decant and it stays nice and close to the skin. It's my fave frag to wear on cold days when I just want to snuggle at home.

Styling Products -Oscar Blandi - Jasmine Oil Serum
heavenly_seas2 11/3/2006 3:08:00 PM
If I could only have one styling product for the rest of my life, this would be it! It's the only serum I've ever repurchased. It smells divine and makes my hair shiny, smooth, and glossy without weighing it down or making it greasy. I even like to rub it on my cuticles sometimes. I just wish it weren't so pricey!

Conditioner -Oscar Blandi - Balsamo di Jasmine Smoothing Conditioner
heavenly_seas2 11/3/2006 3:05:00 PM
I love this conditioner and it's matching shampoo! I think the shampoo has a stronger, better scent, but they work great together. I also have the hair protein mist and jasmine oil. When I use all of them together I always have a great hair day. I don't know what it is about this line, but it just works great for my dry, straight hair. My hair always ends up soft, silky, shiny, and smelling great. I only wish these products weren't so expensive and that they had kept the original packaging.

Shampoo -Oscar Blandi - Balsamo di Jasmine Smoothing Shampoo
heavenly_seas2 11/3/2006 3:01:00 PM
I really love this shampoo! I have very dry, dull, long, straight hair and this shampoo (along with the conditioner) makes my hair so shiny and silky. I can just put a little bit of gloss on the ends and blowdry without using a brush or any other styling products. It has such a great fragrance-not pure jasmine, but better! And the fragrance really holds in your hair (lots of compliments from the boys). The only problem I have with it is the price and new packaging. The original bottles were classier and at $20 for 8 oz. I can't use it as often as I would like.

Fragrances -Monyette Paris - Monyette Paris
heavenly_seas2 11/3/2006 2:55:00 PM
I can't believe I've never written a review on this. I love this perfume oil! I have had it for a little over two years now and for a while it was the only fragrance I owned. It's also the only fragrance I've ever repurchased. I wear it all the time, regardless of season or occassion and I always get compliments from guys and gals alike. It's tropical, creamy, and a little smokey. It lasts forever and smells better and better as time goes on. I also have Kai (much fresher, greener gardenia fragrance), but prefer Monyette Paris (which smells much sweeter and more complex to me).

Treatments -LUSH - Flying Fox Temple Balm
heavenly_seas2 11/3/2006 2:40:00 PM
My husband actually came across this balm while we were shopping at the SF Lush store. He kept saying that it smelled so good and the sales person helping us kept emphasizing that it could help with pms. Considering I was 3 months pregnant then, I didn't really care, but my husband insisted I would like it saying it smelled like my hair stuff (I was addicted to Oscar Blandi's Jasmine line). So I put it on, and wow, it smells sooooooo good! I had been looking for a jasmine fragrance similar to Oscar Blandi's but couldn't find anything that compared. Needless to say, we ended up buying the balm and the 20 oz. body wash.

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - D&C BY [DISCONTINUED]
heavenly_seas2 12/23/2004 5:42:00 AM
I'm more of a lurker when it comes to reviews, but I love By so much that I felt like I needed to say how wonderful it is. I bought the 3 piece gift set at a perfume outlet store. It's a very sexy and complex fragrance that's both sophisticated and adventurous. It's mostly a winter fragrance, but I like to wear it out on summer nights. Out of all my perfumes, this is my favorite (along with Monyette Paris). Oh, and I get compliments from men every single time I wear it!

Fragrances -Creative Scentualization - Perfect Gardenia
heavenly_seas2 10/20/2004 5:15:00 PM
I love the smell of gardenias and Perfect Gardenia smells very true to the flower...that is while it's still wet. The drydown on me was very smokey-not in a cigarette way, but more like a fireplace-with a faint touch of gardenia. It's not a bad smell, just a strange combo. Maybe I'll get less smoke if I layer it.
