Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick - Nude Attitude
hawle 2/21/2011 3:51:00 AM
This lipstick is great, if you're an oompa loompa. It's just straight up orange. It's also really cakey and drying, and settles in the cracks of your lips. I like Revlon's window packaging so you can see the real color, but that's about all I can say that's good about this product.

Lipstick -MAC - Hue

This lipstick is so pretty. Myth was way too orange/peachy on my skin, so I turned to this. This is a pinky/beige sheer lipstick that is still a nude, but doesn't wash you out. It isn't too frosty, which I also like. The formula is really moisturizing and feels really good on, and it doesn't slide around. It also lasts pretty well. I love this! Thanks MAC!

Liquid -Cover Girl - TruBlend
hawle 12/7/2010 1:14:00 AM
I heard this stuff was great for very pale skin.. but I am very disappointed with everything about this product. It was still too orange for me, especially once it dried. It's very runny and doesn't blend well at all. The coverage is just terrible. This is awful for my dry skin: it clings to my dry patches and makes them look even more flaky and dry. The only thing I liked was the pump dispenser and packaging, though that doesn't matter if it is a bad product. I will never repurchase.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Wild Shine - Caribbean Frost 446B
hawle 12/4/2010 12:20:00 AM
This was a really nice color, though it chipped before even one full day of wearing it. I haven't noticed other Wet 'n Wild polishes chipping so quickly, so it's pretty weird. Two lippies for color and price.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish Blush 831D Pearlescent Pink
hawle 12/2/2010 11:09:00 PM
I got this at Walgreens for $3, which is considerably cheap for how much you get of this nicely pigmented product. This is a soft, pinky/coral toned blush with a little bit of golden shimmer that is hardly noticeable. It has some orange undertones, though nothing very noticeable or weird looking. It does have golden sparkles, though very few of them(it doesn't look cheap or immature). It's perfect for giving your face a cute, sweet, healthy, pink-toned glow. However, it is easy to overdo it(like with all other blushes). If you use too much, it will start to look cheap or silly, or even like natural unsightly redness. Less is always more with blushes. It isn't extremely highly pigmented, though you still do have to use a light hand when applying so you don't look overdone. The packaging sucks, as do all Wet 'n' Wild's product's packaging does, but for $3 that doesn't matter. I will probably repurchase, but I doubt I will run out anytime soon.

Shampoo -Redken - Extreme Shampoo [REFORMULATED]
hawle 11/23/2010 5:23:00 PM
I love the smell! It smells just like Tootsie Rolls, oddly enough. This shampoo and conditioner combination is really nice on damaged hair, and is my current favorite. I wouldn't say 'HG', but it has saved my hair the most out of all shampoo/conditioner products I have tried so far. I will repurchase.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Creme
hawle 11/23/2010 5:20:00 PM
This is the most fabulous conditioner I have used yet. I have bleached my hair from black to blonde three times and it feels so amazingly smooth and healthy after using this conditioner. It's absolutely just great and I'm so glad I found it. The only thing I'm curious of is what makes my hair so soft after using this.. I hope there isn't a bunch of wax in it? It's almost a bit hard to wash out if you use too much, and it doesn't feel quite as shiny and smooth after you let your hair dry.. but it works better than anything I've tried so far! I will repurchase.

Mascara -Maybelline - INTENSE XXL mascara
hawle 11/22/2010 10:14:00 PM
This is pretty great. It isn't bad or flakey. The primer is really useful, and not just white mascara in an attempt to sound fancy. It does really nicely with not clumping and it's pretty dark. The brush is also really nicely sized(who decided a bigger brush meant bigger lashes anyway?). I'm giving this a four because even if it isn't my HG, it is a pretty nice.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Fair
hawle 11/22/2010 7:59:00 PM
To those of you claiming to have itching/redness/irritation to BE foundations, and if you are using any BE brushes, the foundation is NOT the problem! The brushes are so terribly scratchy they will leave little scratches ALL over your face, even if you can't see them. Sometimes it also causes a bit of redness. The brushes are absolute trash, throw them away!! The Kabuki is especially terrible. Every time I used it it scratched my face up so bad I'd be stinging just a few hours later. After switching brushes about two years ago, my face hasn't been itchy/stingy one little bit. Try the product without using ANY of their terrible brushes and I guarantee you won't itch or sting anymore.

Cleansers -Olay - Sensitive Skin Foaming Face Wash
hawle 11/20/2010 12:44:00 AM
This cleanser takes makeup off beautifully(even waterproof mascara) while being gentle on my skin and containing no scary ingredients or any smell at all. It's a thick, swirly white cream that feels very silky against your skin while you cleanse. My dry skin feels hydrated and silky smooth after cleansing with this product, and it doesn't leave behind oil, shine, or film. It doesn't sting my eyes while I rub off my eye makeup either. I have been using this same cleanser for years and years and I have no intentions of trying anything else. The pump container is handy and sanitary. It's also very easy to pick this product up at your local pharmacy or grocery store. You simply cannot get any better than this. And for around $4? It's truly one of my most loved HG products. I will continue to repurchase this over and over again, because it's absolutely perfect.

Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder
hawle 11/19/2010 5:11:00 PM
This is a pretty good product. It does make your skin softer and more 'matte' after brushing it over your foundation. It puffs up clouds of white smoke easily, which smell pretty strong like chemical and baby powder(it doesn't smell on your skin, though). It makes me a little bit worried about inhaling too much of it in. I don't have oily skin or wrinkles, so I'm not sure about the oil control or help with fine lines. It helps your makeup stay on for a few hours longer as well. It is definitely a handy product to set your makeup look with. I'm pretty sure it is the exact same formula as all other setting powders, because they all contain very similar if not exact ingredients, so there isn't any need to desire one brand over another. I will probably repurchase.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF15
hawle 11/19/2010 12:35:00 PM
What's with the negative reviews? This is a truly fantastic product. It's a smooth, white, lightweight cream that doesn't sting or smell at all. It hasn't broken me out once since I've first used it. It leaves behind just a bit of moisture you can feel, so I'm not sure if this would be good for anyone with oily skin. It also can sting around my most irritated/dry areas sometimes, though it isn't that bad. For my normal/dry skin, this is really great. The bottle is really nice, too, because pumps are more sanitary than tubs or tubes. It doesn't ever clog up like other pump moisturizers. Don't avoid this product because of the boring packaging and the fact that it sells at pharmacies: it's truly fantastic for anyone with normal to dry skin. For around $11, I really think this product is worth buying and repurchasing too.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Single in Brulee
hawle 11/19/2010 2:03:00 AM
This is a really pretty light mocha brown color that works great as an eye-brightener for your lids and for a base too. It has some yellowy undertones that didn't work for my skin, though that wasn't very noticeable at all after some blending. It isn't too opaque or too shimmery. It goes on creamy and is nicely pigmented. The only thing I didn't like was the packaging, which was really hard to get open.. it's easy to break the container or the shadow itself since it is so hard to open. That's minor though. I wouldn't wear this alone, just because it doesn't make much of a difference at all.. though it works great for neutral looks with coffee browns or topes. It makes blending much easier than if you were just applying shadow to bare skin. I will repurchase.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
hawle 11/18/2010 9:31:00 PM
This really does work as well as everyone says it does. It's a nice color that can match pretty much anyone's skin tone and it makes eye makeup stay on HOURS past it usually would on bare skin. I don't have to worry about my shadow creasing anymore! I love being able to feel confident my shadow still looks fresh, bright, and clean, without having to check mirrors constantly. The container is a bit odd and ugly to me but that doesn't matter with such a good product inside it. I don't know if the tilted brush is helpful or obnoxious, but that is also minor. An easy 5 lippies for my newest HG, I will definitely repurchase.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Angled Foundation Brush
hawle 11/18/2010 8:58:00 PM
Soft and nice like all E.L.F products, though a bit too small, awkwardly angled and firm to really be of use for much. It does work well with blending concealer around your nose and eye areas though, and doesn't really streak that I can see. I still don't know if I will ever want to repurchase this, but for $3, I have no regrets in buying it.
