Blush -MAC - Beauty Powder Blush in Joyous
haseena 3/10/2008 11:03:00 AM
Joyous was the one that stood out most to me among all the other beauty powder blushers. In the pan, it is a gorgeous bright coral with shimmer and when applied on cheeks, it gives a very beautiful healthy glow of peachy coral with nice fine shimmer. This is truly a gorgeous product! I am so glad i got it despite having MAC hipness blush from the fafi collection. In comparison to hipness, this is more subtle and gives a more glowy finish. I definitely would pick this if given a choice to pick one.

Blush -MAC - Hipness- fafi collection
haseena 2/19/2008 5:33:00 AM
Hipness is a gorgeous shade of coral peachy pink. In the pan, it looks like it has a little shimmer, but on skin, it is more matte and there is no visible sign of shimmer. It reminds me of a more coral Milani Luminous which i absolutely adore. I was put off the first time i swatched it coz it seemed so chalky but i could not resist the temptation and when i finally got it, i have no regrets as it is definitely not chalky on the face. Just for reference, i'm a NC40-42 GGG.

Lipstick -MAC - Pink Cabana
haseena 2/19/2008 5:22:00 AM
A nice unique peachy pink lipstick with gold shimmer. This is another lipstick i would compare to MAC charm factor. It's a pink version of charm factor but definitely much cooler. It has gorgeous gold shimmers in it which somewhat adds to the frostiness factor. However it's not OTT frosty but just right. Like most reviewers mentioned, there is green shimmer in it which gives it such a beautiful gold iridescence paired with the gold shimmer. Looks absolutely beautiful on lips. I am not usually into pinks but this is an exception and looks great with dramatic eyes. This shade actually makes me feel younger :p Just for reference, i'm a NC40-42 GGG.

Lipstick -MAC - Ramblin Rose Lipstick
haseena 2/15/2008 6:23:00 AM
The bad reviews made me ignore this lipstick so shame on me! After i tried it after getting it in a swap, i was so surprised on how much i love it! This is a gorgeous shade of frosty(in a good way) coral pink with golden shimmer/flecks. It does have hints of rosy peaches to it and i would definitely crown this lipstick as the pinker/rosier sister of MAC Charm Factor lipstick. MAC Charm Factor is definitely more peachier but they are a little similar. Texture-wise, i personally did not find it gritty but yes, if you over-apply, it gets a tad too frosty looking so be easy on the application. If you decide to reapply, make sure you blot your lips before doing so. Other than that, this is the perfect lipstick to go with smokey eyes if you're tired of the usual nude lips-smokey eyes combo. An absolute HG material - will repurchase! For reference, I'm a NC40-42 GGG.

Lipstick -MAC - Flash-N-Dash
haseena 2/15/2008 5:47:00 AM
It's a very beautiful shade of coral red on me however it goes on a little uneven & was not as bright as i wanted it to be (it is really bright in the tube). The micro glitters are obviously there so if you don't like glitters, stay away from this. Described as Intense tangerine red with pink pearl (Glaze) on the mac website, the pink pearl part was a little misleading as i only see glitters *not* pearls. The colour is not as intense as it has been described. It is a sheerer but less better version of MAC Pink D'lush slimshine that was released some time back. I would not repurchase as i prefer pink d'lush to this. For reference i'm a NC40-42 GGG.
EDIT: Is beautiful over lip balm! But lots of glitter left over after lipstick is gone.
A note on the packaging of this lipstick: the fafi graphics are *not* printed directly on the tube but it has a plastic sleeve that has the graphics printed on them. Be careful with the lipsticks, the sleeves look like it can drop of anytime if you are not careful with them.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Trio - Belgian Chocolates [DISCONTINUED]
haseena 2/15/2008 5:16:00 AM
This is my HG neutral eye palette. I am in love with this so much that i have been using it almost everyday lately. The lightest shade is the *perfect* champagne nude on me. It is almost 'my lids but better' shade so it is perfect when you want the no makeup look. However it is shimmery which is an added bonus for me. I would usually use this on my entire lid, crease & browbone as a base. The medium shade is a red-toned medium brown almost like the colour of rust. I did not find much use for this but i do occasionally apply it on outer corners of the eyes when i have extra time. The darkest shade is a beautiful deep chocolate brown that is perfect for the crease. I love how the addition of this colour on the crease gives the eye more definition. I top it all with black eyeliner & lots of mascara and i'm good to go. This is such a quick trio to work with as not only is it pigmented but it is heavenly blendable! As compared to egyptian sands, i much prefer this one for my skintone as it complements it better. I am getting a backup for this soon because it is an A-star HG material product in my list. Just for reference, I am a NC40-42 GGG.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
haseena 2/8/2008 10:50:00 AM
Like everyone else, i to was influence by all the talk about the orange mascara so after a wonderful muaer raok-ed one to me, i tried it (in a very excited mode - picture that). Sadly, the results did not amaze me a single bit. What i hated most about this was that it left my lashes as stiff as twigs! It felt so wrong. It did add volume and length but did not stay curled all day. I was very disappointed and have now gone back to my HG Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara. I still think mascara are very ymmv, so do not get turned off by the bad reviews and go try it as this might surprisingly work for u! :)

Eyes -Ardell - Brow & Lash Growth Accelerator Treatment Gel
haseena 2/8/2008 10:37:00 AM
I have to admit, at first i was so skeptical to try this product because of some bad reviews about it causing bad eye reactions. I'm so glad i went pass that and tried it. After just 2 weeks of usage, my lashes were noticeably more longer especially on my lower lashline. There are new lashes growing on my inner lower lashline as well as on the upper lashline. After finishing one tube, in about a span of 1 1/2 months, the results are amazing! My lashes are much more healthier and i'm loving it. I have to say, this might show different results on different individuals depending on how your lashes are in the first place. Mine were quite thick and long beforehand, so the results were more visible on me. You have to use this religiously every night to achieve results but it's well worth it! I have healthy lashes now and will repurchase and repurchase! HG material for me.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Chocoholic
haseena 11/20/2007 12:37:00 PM
I got this as an extra from a wonderful muaer and i am in love! This is the most beautiful brown lipstick i've tried. It's more of a caramel shade on me with obvious rosy tones to it. A very unusual colour i must say, but makes me feel really beautiful! It is really flattering on my NC42 GGG skintone. The lipstick is also really creamy and has a great finish - similar to that of a MAC lustre lipstick. Amazing colour, great pigmentation, reasonable price - a perfect combo for the perfect lipstick. Will definitely repurchase!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Antiquitease - Earthly Riches
haseena 11/20/2007 4:18:00 AM
Earthly riches is the perfect duo if you want smokey purple eyes. In the pot, the purple side looks like a nice dark eggplant purple with plummish cranberry veinings. On the eyes, it's a medium smokey purple while the cranberry veinings appears more plummish purple with red undertones on the eye. The gray/taupe side looks like a very dark grey in the pan but appears slightly lighter on the eyes. There are also some cranberry veinings in this side so when u mix them togather and apply on the eyes, it tones down the gray adding a red undertone to it. I love the purple on the lids, and the gray side on crease. A perfect & VERY easy smokey eyes to do without looking bruised. Pigmentation is surprisingly very good. I probably do not need to purchase another since i have too many purples, but this is definitely worth having. For reference, I'm a GGG NC42.

Cleansers -Biotherm - PURE BRIGHT Polishing Clarifying Cleanser
haseena 10/22/2007 8:54:00 AM
First of all, i agree with everything Tinkerbell84 has said about this product. Where I live, this comes under the WHITE DETOX range. I first got this as a sample from a very sweet muaer friend of mine. I was truly impressed by how it performed. It made me get a full size even though the price was a little steep but since it was one of the very few cleansers that works wonders on my really sensitive, dry skin, i decided to invest in it. It definitely has improved my face alot. I had a massive breakout about a few months back due to stress and i have some acne scars left by the tragic event. This has helped fade some of the scars which are barely visible now. Mind you, this takes time and patience. It does not work overnight, so if u want fast results, this is not for u. It took some months for my scars to dissapear. Other than diminishing scars, this cleanser instantly brightens up my face and removes makeup well. Do not use this on ur undereye or eye area as the pumice can be a little harsh for those areas. Also excellent for getting rid of those stubborn whiteheads or blackheads on the nose. Would repurchase in a snap :)

Blush -MAC - Afterdusk
haseena 10/22/2007 8:43:00 AM
Afterdusk is a truly gorgeous shade in the pan. Shimmery raspberry with a gold sheen. I was so excited when i first got it. Unfortunately, i was dissapointed by it firstly because i needed to pack on *loads* of it using a normal blush brush (not a skunk brush) before it actually showed up on my skintone (GGG NC42), and secondly, it barely lasted a couple of minutes. I usually can have my blush last me the entire day because I don't have oily skin nor do i perspire that much. It's so sad since i was really loving the colour so much. Wonder what went wrong in the formulation. Hopefully MAC will re-produce it in another collection but this time in a better, longer lasting formula and possibly more pigmentation.

Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - Metal Eye Lash Comb
haseena 10/22/2007 8:37:00 AM
A magical tool i would say. I used to always use plastic eyelash combs - only setback was the teeth always broke! (My lashes can't be that tough right?) After recommendations from the lovely makeup board, i decided to get this. Worth every penny and truly delivers it's duty. However it's really sharp so be careful and make sure no one is around you when you're using this tool, especially kids and pets. I accidentally poked it into my eyes once - ouch! The pain lasted quite sometime. Other than that, if used with proper care and patience, this is a *must-have* in everyone's makeup pouch. Separates lashes beautifully and de-clumps mascara in a flash. Would definitely re-purchase if i lose this one coz i am sure this would last ages with its superb quality.

Blush -Milani - Smooth Finish Blush - Luminous
haseena 10/22/2007 8:30:00 AM
My search for the perfect glowy blush is *finally* over. I re-discovered luminous in my stash, and that made me a very happy person! This is the perfect *glowy* peach on me. I got so hooked on this blush, i used it for 7 days straight till i realise this has been discountinued so yes, i have to save it for the more important days :P The lasting power is also superb and i love how it has a duotone sort of shade to it. Peachy gold perhaps? I just am so dissapointed to hear that this has been discontinued. What was Milani thinking? This is by far one of ur best products! For reference, I'm a NC42 GGG.

Blush -Pout - Apricot Totty
haseena 10/22/2007 8:23:00 AM
Wowza, this is truly a gorgeous blush! I'm so glad i managed to get hold of this beauty. The shade is the perfect warm shimmery coral on me. I thought i would love BB's Coral much more than this, but i was so wrong. This is way better than BB coral blush! It brightens up my face with that beautiful pop of colour. The pigmentation is really superb so for those who are really on the paler side, should use a skunk brush for this. This has become my favourite blush in the coral category. Would definitely re-purchase *if* I can get hold of another one. For reference, I'm a GGG with colouring close to NC42.
