PRO: - Definitely helped my eye makeup stay longer! Like almost the entire day (10 hours~) CON: - While the product is great, the packaging is terrible! The stick brush doesn't reach all the way into the bottom of the bottle, and the bottle is ROUNDED so there are even more product stuck at the sides and bottom. For such a good product, I hope this will improve soon! Gotta cut the bottle if you need to truly use all the product.
What I love so much about this is that it's CREAM-BASED! It glides on to my skin really smoothly and blends really easily with just my fingers! Plus it has a soft, bouncy, doughy texture so be careful not to press too hard, just use your middle/fore fingers to gently circle the product and apply it on your cheeks. I bought the Ripe Apricot color (slightly dark pink/orange tint) and it gave my cheeks instant glow! It also lasts longer because it's cream-based, plus it comes in a small and easy-to-carry case, but that also means the amount of product is not much. But a little goes a long way each time I use it. Will buy this product again! There are 7 shades available, but so far I've only found 4.
Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - CLIO Professional Waterproof Kill Brown Brush Liner

They finally came out with the Brown version! I'd heard good reviews about the Kill Black version - good pigmentation, very black, water/smudge-proof etc. but I prefer brown eyeliners so I was really happy when this one came out! Okay the pigmentation is good, but you have to go over it again and again if you want darker shades of brown. It lasted all day for me without smudging at all! And I use Proof 10 eye primer because I have oily lids too. What I love about this is that this dries relatively quickly, because I have hidden eyelids, so it's awesome that I don't have to look like a retard fanning my eyelids while trying to keep them closed to let the liquid dry, or else it'll be smudged against my upper lid wtf. So this is great for me. But this also means mistakes have to be minimized. As for the brush and tip, the line produced is really thin! (like a pencil line on paper) The brush is not too flimsy but it's not that hard either, so it's quite easy to control the direction of your lining after 2-3 times of practice. What I like about CLIO eyeliners are the capping! There's some sort of a spring at the cap area so you really have to press down and hear the 'click' sound to know that the eyeliner is closed properly. This really helps alot because god knows how many of my eyeliners dried out because I didn't close them properly. Thumbs up CLIO!
Masks -TheFACEShop - Essential Collagen Mask Sheet
hanryou 9/20/2012 1:04:00 PM
Generally not a fan of face masks, because I feel that the effects are not long-lasting and you have to really buy a lot to use very often to achieve the moisturized effect. This is very cheap (about $1-2) per pack depending on where they are sold, and together with other brands' sheet masks, the immediate effects are moisturising. But they only last for a day at most.
Lip Treatments -Elizabeth Arden - 8 Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick
hanryou 9/20/2012 1:00:00 PM
Best lip balm in my opinion, it's very VERY moisturising (so much that after usage I always look like I just ate an extremely oily food or something). Well, the thing is I only use lip balms at night because I hate lip balms textures in general, and when I have really dry cracked lips, I will just apply this overnight with a lot of layers, and the next morning the dry skin will come off super easily, leaving a smooth plump puckers for the day!!!
Cleansers -Biore - Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets
hanryou 9/20/2012 12:56:00 PM
My HG cleansing wipes of all time. It removes my foundation easily, especially EYE-MAKEUP, it's just amazing. You just have to press the sheet on your eyes for about 5 seconds, and gently wipe them and voila, 90% of your stubborn eyeshadows/liners/mascara are GONE. Plus you don't have to wipe so hard and they don't pull your eyelashes off! Okay I'm raving so I'll just point them down briefly. PROS: - Amount of water/oil in each sheet is more than sufficient to remove your makeup gently and completely - Does not leave an oily feeling at all!!!!! GREAT FOR OILY SKINS as they're mild, not too oily and not too dry. - Convenient, just pull the sheet and wipe. - Comes in a very eco-friendly packaging. When buying for the first time, you'll get the outer box and the inner refill pack, for the subsequent buys, you just have buy the cheaper refill packs and place them into the box! So convenient! CONS: - Okay only gripe is after using it for a year or so, they made the sheet size smaller by about 1cm :( but the functions are still the same. Will keep buying this till I find a better replacement, but unlikely.
For its price, I think it's doing a pretty good job. The critical part is to wet your nose THOROUGHLY - meaning, not just splashing water but actually making it wet like you just came out of the shower. As for the effectiveness, it's good as I can see the gunk on the entire strip after taking it out but they're mostly small/little. Not sure if my nose is not dirty enough or the strip is not effective enough lol. It leaves an itchy feeling after usage for about 2-3 hours though but it's bearable.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lipstick - Warm Me Up
hanryou 9/20/2012 12:46:00 PM
When I tested it on my hand, the color seemed alright. But when I applied it on my lips, it turned out to be a shade lighter than my lips! It also has this strange brownish/dull peach tint which didn't help at making my complexion look brighter. Quite disappointed. Despite its creaminess, it's still pretty dry on my lips.
Only lasts for a few hours (3-4 tops). Has a nice smell. Not sure about whitening I don't think it's very effective because my underarm color pretty much looks the same even after daily use. Will still buy it because it's quite cheap.
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Angled Eyeliner Brush
hanryou 9/20/2012 12:33:00 PM
My very first angled eyeliner brush and not regretting a moment of it! I normally use pencil/liquid eyeliners so I use this mostly on lazy days when I use this for dark eyeshadows to line my eyes instead. The bristles are sharply angled so application on my lashlines is super easy and effortless. They are soft, but also sufficiently hard & non-flimsy so your product won't end up CMs away from where they're supposed to be. Plus points: it's eco-friendly and have not shed a single time despite me dipping it into water completely (lol) once a week.
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - bamboo eye shading brush
hanryou 9/20/2012 12:30:00 PM
Very soft bristles, have not shed at all despite once-a-week washes. Does its job of blending eyeshadows onto my lids nicely. Bit pricey, but for its quality, worth it.
Cleansers -TheFACEShop - The Face Shop Rice Water Cleansing Water
hanryou 9/20/2012 12:19:00 PM
Bit expensive, but overall this is really good for oily/combi skin, plus it has a brightening & whitening effect! It has a lot of product in it too (150ml) and it took me about 5-6 months to finish it with twice-daily use! Unfortunately after prolonged use (about 1 year) it starts to dry up my skin so I stopped using it. Maybe it's just my skin adapting or changing due to other factors. But anyway, good product!
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Nailpolish Colors
hanryou 9/20/2012 12:15:00 PM
It lives up to its name - it dries REALLY FAST. Like 4-5 seconds after application it's already pretty dry so it's convenient! Only gripe is the brush isn't long enough to reach the bottom, ugh, so it's really annoying when the product is about to finish and it's hard to scoop up the product with the short brush..
Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Palty hair dye - Caramel brown
hanryou 9/20/2012 12:13:00 PM
As an Asian with dark hair, I find this product very suitable as it really makes the color more obvious! Plus it's a foam dye so the application is easier and less messy as compared to cream dyes.
As an Asian with black hair, I guess this product isn't for me because despite using this hair dye for about 1.5 years, it isn't very obvious. Even using the lightest shade of red available (I can't remember which but it was the lightest I could find), my hair still seemed dark in indoor lightings. Only traces of the color could be seen under bright lights/sunlight. BUT, if you have very light hair, this product will be good for you as they don't leave your hair too dry. The box sold in my country (SG) also provides a protective moisturizer so your hair will not be too damaged from the dye.
