I've finished my first pan of the powder and now I'm on the second one. I have never scraped off until the last powder foundation is out... but due to its hefty price tag that this powder has, I felt like I need to get every single last powder used. Hefty price tag aside, this powder really is the best powder foundation I've ever used. Whether I applied it with the sponge on the go or using a powder brush, it has always came out evenly and makes my skin looks like my skin but way better. The powder foundation lasts about a year for me and I've used it everyday. I do wear it lightly on my skin. When compared with my Jill Stuart Silk Powder Foundation, this comes out as nice as that.

Pressed Powders -Tom Ford - Illuminating Powder - Translucent

I really don't know why it has not worked for most of the reviewer here. I got my translucent powder in Translucent Pink and I have worn it over liquid foundation (MUFE Face & Body Foundation), over powder foundation (Serge Lutens Powder Foundation), and just over a sunscreen. All has given me results as if my skin is translucent. The powder finish lasts all day long and I've got compliments from people on how good my skin looks. I do not use the brush that came with the powder. But I used a powder brush to just sweep it lightly all over my face. The result is a skin that looks translucent... not matte and not shiny.

I'm already on my 4th bottle and I honestly think this product has improved my skin to be more glowy and translucent. Ever since I included this on my skincare regime, my skin has looked better. I used this before I pat on the SKII Facial Treatment Essence.

Foundations -La Mer - the SPF Fluid Tint

This tinted moisturizer is one of the best that I have used. Before I have tried Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown but I think La Mer's tinted moisturizer gives the most natural and even toned skin look and it's not oily on my combination skin. It does not break me out either. I'm already on my 2nd tube and I have used it every day for the last year. I think this is my HG tinted moisturizer.

Blush -NARS - Sex Appeal

For daytime blush, I opt to use this color because it gives me such a natural blush color to my skin and no one can tell that I'm wearing a blush. I have a fair skin and this color fits me perfectly. Nars blush also last all day.

Crème -Bobbi Brown - Oil-Free Even Finish Compact Foundation

It doesn't sit really well on my combination skin when used all over. It dries out my skin and I'm left with dry patches. So instead of applying it all over my face, I just apply it with my fingers... dabbing on the skin to cover marks or uneven colors on my skin.

Concealers -Shu Uemura - Mark Cealer [DISCONTINUED]

I've used this for years... and it has been working well to cover my dark circles. You have to apply it lightly, though... or you'll end up streaking the concealer all over the place. It doesn't dry out your under eye skin either.

On my days where I had dry patches on my skin, I combined this oil with my moisturizer or use it before I apply my moisturizer... the result is: perfectly plumped hydrated skin!

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I don't get what's so good about this foundation. The ads are definitely very convincing... saying that you're looking at the first non-airbrushed make up ads... But when I put it on, it doesn't make my skin looks flawless. It's drying out my skin. And the photos are not that fabulous either. I love MUFE Face & Body Liquid Foundation more. It makes my skin looks flawless both in real life and in photographs.

Concealers -Cle de Peau - Concealer

I was very skeptic about this concealer at first because it is in a cream stick form and I've been using liquid concealer all my life for my dark circles. But my aunt kept raving about it and so I gave in and bought one. Apparently, in order for this concealer to work, is to apply it the right way, which is apply lightly and blend... adding a little more and blend again if needed.... Don't start by applying with too much product because it will get cakey. The result is very natural and it's simply is the best concealer I've ever used. It doesn't settle into fine lines. Do wear eyecream before applying any kind of concealer... that way, the eyes won't get dry.

It won't work on my combination skin for some reasons. It makes my skin super dry and I could see dry patches on my skin within the hour that I put it on. Tried to put it on in so many different ways: sponge, brush, hands... all didn't work... =(

It doesn't give as much staying power on my combination skin... my skin starts to get oily within the hour and I have to blot a lot. It does give a nice finish right after you put it on, though. I have a feeling it's only the formula that wasn't suitable for my skin. Am giving it to my mom who has dry mature skin and she seems to like it.

My skin is combination and this product seems to promise a hydrating yet matte effect. Well, it didn't work on my skin. I got visible dry patches when I'm wearing this foundation. And I've already layered my skin with moisturizers beforehand. Wish it would work on me...

I love this foundation! I had it for 6 months now before I decided to write a review... and now I am convinced that I have found my HG foundation! I wore it countless times to parties and it has never failed me. My skin looks so smooth yet natural. It gives a natural glow to your skin. And it doesn't accentuate dry flaky patch on my skin either. It didn't break me out either. The only thing that I need to do is blot once in a while on my t-zone. But that's okay... because the finish of this foundation looks amazingly natural in real life and my skin looks fabulously flawless on pictures too! The only thing that I don't like about this foundation is the packaging. It comes in a bottle with no pump. The opening of the bottle is too big and sometimes I ended up pouring out more than I used. I like the jelly-like consistency of this foundation though... it feels hydrating. I think I will still definitely stick by this foundation despite its poor packaging. Finally I can have a foundation that I can always count on.
