Love the container, don't mind the product, husband HATES the scent. It goes on citrus-y, but as it oxidizes, it turns more sour and dank. Only use it when he's out of town (this and ACV, the smell of which also makes him cringe). Effectiveness, not spectacular, but then I haven't been consistent, using for only 30 days at a stretch (DH's job has him away for a month followed by home for a month). Back to my HG Neutrogena Healthy Skin.

Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Caruso Professional ION Steam Hairsetter

Loving my steam setters. Seriously. My fine, thin hair has just enough wave (just in the back!) to be neither straight or wavy, so I'm a slave to my blow dryer to give it any body or shape. Curling irons or hot rollers are a joke, with any curls falling flat in less than an hour. I've had these for 4 months & find myself using them more and more. In Canada these are sold under the Revlon brand at London Drugs, but I've ordered some additional rollers from Amazon that are "Caruso" & they are almost identical & work just fine. (I wanted a few more of the smaller size). Other reviewers here have gone through the drill of rolling your hair, my tips would be to MAKE SURE THEY ARE COMPLETELY DRY BEFORE TAKING THEM OUT. For me this is at least 45 mins. Sorry for the all CAPS, but that is a really important step, at least for me. You may want to pull out your blow dryer if your in a rush and give your head a few buzzes to speed up the drying. If your hair is like mine, give the curls a good dose of hairspray immediately after unrolling, before doing anything to your curls (no water formula like Tresemme works great for me). You may look a bit like Shirley Temple at first, but the curls will relax. The relaxed curls last. Seriously. I had big hair in the 80's when I lived in a dry, dry, dry climate. These give me big hair for the new millennium, even in the wet, wet climate of Vancouver!

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - Sugar
rated 5 of 5

LOVE using sugar for a scrub. Makes me feel so much better about the $$ I spend on other stuff. I just add a bit to my cleanser and scrub all over my face. Add a bit of water, lather, rinse & voila. Vibrant, glowing skin.

Lotions/ Creams -Neostrata - Glycolic Acid (10%) Body Lotion

Tried this for my dry skin, and it didn't perform in any way!!! Not only did it not exfoliate at all, it isn't even a good moisturizer. It's thin and and bluish/transparent. MUCH prefer the Reversa Skin Smoothing Body lotion. 2 applications of it, & my skin is smooth as silk!

Cleansers -Kiehls - Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser

Keep coming back. Would really prefer something without parabens, but every time I switch, I come back running. I've tried Burt's Bees, Cetaphil, Clarins, Neutrogena, but none clean as well without leaving a film or drying out my skin. This is my HG.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Tres Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray

Best hairspray ever! After years of using Sebastian Shaper Plus, I'm a convert. My very fine hair will not hold a curl with any other hairspray. Tresemme does the job, even in damp/humid weather. LOVE THIS STUFF.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Reversa UV Anti-Spot Lightening Cream
rated 4 of 5

They have recently updated the packaging on this to a sealed pump, which I love using. It's a bit thick going on, but does soak in nicely. After using it for 3 weeks my skin is sooo smooth & feels just lovely. The light melasma I'm trying to get rid of does appear a bit lighter, but nothing amazing as yet...

Good on the feet, but great for the hands. My nails have always broken really easily, but have seriously improved since I've started using this. the clove smell can be a bit heavy at times, but the best hand lotion I've used in ages.

Great hold, no flakes. Nozzle clogs easily, but can be rinsed with hot water.

Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15
rated 4 of 5
gursk 9/26/2008 3:04:00 AM

I keep trying to find a different moisturizer that's cheaper, paraben free, and comes in a pump. But I keep coming back to this Kiehls product. Despite what it lacks, it's the only SPF moisturizer that soaks in, doesn't feel greasy, doesn't make me breakout and actually gives me a dewy glow that is PERFECT for under my foundation (MAC Studio Fix). I've been coming back to this product for 10+ years.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact
rated 5 of 5
gursk 9/26/2008 3:01:00 AM

Best mascara out there! Used to use a great product from Max Factor, but I can't find it anywhere. This stuff has great colour, and makes my lashes long & separated. No clumps, no flaking or smudging during the day. I have a huge problem with mascaras smudging/melting. Love this one! Great price too!
