Eyeliner -Essence - Gel Eyeliner

Yes, Essence gel liner, yes, you've made me fall head over heels for you. After reading countless reviews, I bought this little gem for a mere 3 dollars and some change. I tried this liner (Midnight in Paris) a couple days before going to Disneyland running errands here and there. It smoothly applied (due to its VERY soft texture in the pot), was black as black could be w/ a mostly matte finish, and did not smudge. Give it a minute or so to set and you're good to go. I brought it with me to Disneyland and boy, did it deliver. I wore this liner everyday on my trip for about 12-15 hours. My eyeliner looked the same w/ very minimal fading from the moment I applied it in the morning to the moment I took off my makeup at night. This liner withstood 90+ degree heat, water rides, and tears (what can I say? I am a such a sucker for anything Disney, hehe). It did not smudge nor did it run. Bottom line, if you're wondering whether to try it or not--DO IT, it def lives up to the hype for me.

Polishes -Essie - Tart Deco
guiltypleasurexD 8/8/2011 1:17:00 PM
This was a gorgeous color in the bottle. On the nails, it looked a tad darker. In the bottle, it looked like a light coral peach, while on the nails it was a peachy orange or a coral peach in various lighting. I love Essie polishes but this one is just ok. Application was a little messy, had to wait between applications. It was streaky for the first coats and two coats allowed me to have a nice opaque color on my nails. One thing for sure, it definitely brought out my tan. Great (not incredible) color, requires patience, & nice summer nail color!

OMG! Found this little gem at my local Target! I was seriously contemplating buying this brush off the ELF website, but as I was wandering the aisles of Target, I came across this (it was the last one on the shelf btw) & was so pleasantly surprised. Used it for liquid foundation, buffed it into my face like a dream.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Cocomotion Pigment (Rushmetal)
guiltypleasurexD 12/28/2010 9:01:00 PM
Purchased this little gem at the CCO last night. Wore it out today. Cocomotion is great everyday wash over the lids. It's a olivey bronze gold, I would say. I applied it onto the eyelid past the crease and it's definitely adds dimension. On me, NC 35, my lower eyelid emphasizes the gold sheen it has, then for some reason my crease emphasizes a reddish bronze sheen. So I didn't have to apply a crease color. Loved the look, beautiful color, semi-smooth application.

This is a great everyday scent. Smells flirty, crisp &clean, girly. Such a pretty smelling spray. Its staying power is decent, but I don't really mind retouching. Smells incredibly fresh & isn't generic like the other VS scents, which I'm tired of. Love this <3

Concealers -MAC - Studio Finish Concealer
guiltypleasurexD 11/22/2010 9:17:00 PM
This is great. Its color is incredibly opaque, so its coverage is amazing. Feels light if applied on blemishes, and like others are saying, a little does go a long way. Could be used for under the eyes, however for me, it CREASED like crazy and the liquids/oils from my eyes made it collect onto the corner of my eye (if that makes any sense). Will purchase again. :)

Tinted Moisturizer -Tarte - Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Mosturizer (Smooth Operator)
guiltypleasurexD 11/22/2010 9:11:00 PM
I have this product in agent 14 (aka disguise). Let me say, first off, is that they have a a pretty wide range of colors (of both pink & yellow undertones, & I found it easy to find my color). I use this everyday at school, I go to college so this product is a nice quick convenient product to slap on & rush out the door. It blends smoothly, & the coverage is decent. It covers enough that redness & blemishes are diminished. It has SPF 20, so that's nice esp where I go to school, where the sun is always shining (even in the middle of November, I know, freak weather.) There is some sparkle in the formula, but it's not noticeable, however I see the sparkles on my hand when I'm done blending everything in. I usually always set it with powder, but I don't think it's THAT necessary. Doesn't come off easily, I find that when I touch my face, it doesn't transfer or move around. Feels nice & light on my face, and hasn't broken me out. The price, however, turns me off. It's too expensive for my liking and what it provides for me. And I have the old packaging (I think), so I can't see how much product I have left. But all in all, for what it is, great product :)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize Play on Plums
guiltypleasurexD 8/25/2010 10:47:00 PM
Got this in the Fun in the Sun Mineralize kit. Oohwee, this is such a pretty eye combo when you put the two colors together. I wore these two colors SOLELY on my eyes for a my aunt's wedding. I wore the pinky gold all over the lid & the plum onto the outer corner. This mineralize duo is practically a no-brainer to work with. Love to incorporate the colors with a smokey eye to add warmth.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Nuance
guiltypleasurexD 8/25/2010 10:37:00 PM
For some reason, I actually really love the formula of mineralize blushes. Nuance blush is no different. Nuance is a nice peach color with a hint of pink & gold sheen. So prettay. :) It's such a pretty color for the summer & compliments my skintone well. I am NC 35-37 for ref :) It doesn't look overdone, yet it doesn't look like it's lacking either. Just perfect. Got this from the MAC Fun in the Sun Mineralize kit from the CCO.

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Shimpagne (Rococo) [DISCONTINUED]
guiltypleasurexD 8/25/2010 10:25:00 PM
Got this in the MAC Fun in the Sun mineralize set from the CCO. I love this MSF. It's such a great highlighter or color to put over a blush to give it some pop. It gives my face such a nice summery sheen to it. Shimpagne's a nice silvery beige, with a gold veining. It's VERY pigmented, so I use it with a light hand. And this MSF will last me a really long time, so I'm satisfied.

Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
guiltypleasurexD 8/25/2010 10:03:00 PM
I really wanted to like this product. I LOVED the blush color (nice pinky-peach color w/ gold flecks [comparable to NARS Deep Throat than Orgasm]), the bronzer (dark tan brown w/ gold flecks) was too dark for me, but I'm not disappointed in the product because of the colors. I was disappointed because it made my cheeks break out :( After using it, I got small white bumps along my face. But for $3, it is such an amazing deal. The packaging is sleek & sturdy, & it was a nice mirror. The texture is a bit dusty, but it's very pigmented.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Light
guiltypleasurexD 8/25/2010 9:50:00 PM
After using up my whole bottle of MAC Prep + Prime primer (the one w/out the SPF), I figure I'd move on to another primer. After hearing so much about Smash Photo Finish, I thought I'd give it a try. I have combination, acne-prone skin, so I caved in & got the light version of that about a week ago. This primer is impressive, I must say, & was put to the test after a couple days ago. We've been having this crazy heat wave in California (reaching up to 110 degress where I live), and used this primer to keep my face makeup on. Lo & behold, my face withstood the heat & sunlight! My face stayed matte a few more hours than if I had used the MAC primer, which I was pleased with. Regardless, I still had to blot, but it was satisfying to know I could go on with my day without having to blot as much. The primer itself is pretty light & glides on to the skin, it sets pretty quickly. And best of all, no breakouts for me :) That is the true test for me, at least. One lippie off for the price.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Line Eyeshadow 'C' Brush
guiltypleasurexD 7/12/2010 2:17:00 PM
I really enjoy this brush! The bristles are soft, but dense enough to pick up e/s. I don't use this brush to blend, but mainly for applying highlight onto my brow bone. You can also probably use it to pack on color to the lid. It does a great job! For $3, such a deal. The brush itself looks really nice & sleek, too. I would repurchase :)

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers - Bedazzled Biscotti
guiltypleasurexD 7/12/2010 2:09:00 PM
Got this for free after purchasing a CG H2O Proof Lashblast. Looks pretty in the pan. But it does nothing for me. Texture is too chalky, there's too much glitter, and the pigmentation isn't good. Such a shame because the color's lovely.
