I have been using this product for 8 months, morning and night. Each jar lasts about 2 months. Yes, it's expensive. But the red bumps, pimples, and rough texture are gone. At 52 years old, my skin was dehydrated but oily, with frequent whiteheads, even more frequent red bumps, and just a generally rough texture. I'm not sure if there has been an effect on my oiliness or not-- I live in a humid climate-- but the dehydrated look and feel is gone. I've used Retin-A, BHA, AHA, etc., over the years. They all exacerbated my skin problems. I keep repurchasing the cream because it's the best solution I've found. I also use the Born to be Mild cleanser. I think the two work synergistically.
