Pros: Weren't any for me! Cons: Ran out of dye, didn't really change my colour much, did damage the hair a bit. I'm naturally dark blonde and wanted to get a slightly lighter blonde, but not a platinum type blonde! Mum had some of #104 which was like a natural golden blonde I think which she wasn't going to use so I thought...what the hell I'll try it! First of all there wasn't actually enough hair dye to cover my hair! Granted I have lots of hair but just had it cut just below my shoulders so I was quite surprised that we ran out. Luckily it didn't make much difference to the colour anyway so you couldn't tell half my hair had more dye than the other! It was a slightly gingery blonde at first, but that soon wore off/I got used to it not sure which! Now I can't actually tell whats my real colour and whats dyed because it really didn't do anything! Also my hair isn't quite as soft and gets a bit more knotted but that's to be expected I guess. Basically an all round disappointment but maybe that's just because I have too much hair and choose the wrong colour?
Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Sensitive Skin Deep Cleansing Lotion

PROS: Definately keeps my spots at bay, can be applied REALLY easily and is mega cheap. CONS: Hasn't completely gotten rid of my spots? Ok so I use this every morning and evening along with witch's targeting spot gel treatment and occasionally using an exfoliator. It's sooooo easy to apply as you just put a bit of it on a cotton wool ball or pad etc so I can do this in about a minute on my face, shoulders, chest and back which is pretty damn good. It's kept my spots at bay really well and I notice the difference when I switch products. Also if I do get a spot it gets rid of the worst of it in about a day? often less. Also doesn't dry out my skin as often these products do...even though it does have salyctic acid in it which is known for drying skin out. Hasn't completely gotten rid of/stopped my spots but I guess that won't happen for awhile. Very happy with this product =)
Conditioner -L'Oreal - Elvive Nutri-Gloss conditioner
groovypancakes 1/11/2009 7:19:00 AM
Pros: Makes hair sooooooooo soft!! So so so soft!! Cons: Smells slightly like a mans aftershave? Lol LOVE this product! Makes my hair SOOOOOOO soft!! Honestly when I use this I have people stroking my hair and getting their friends stroking my hair where-ever I go...which is quite weird but clearly...it's just THAT soft!! Lol It made my hair quite shiny as well but didn't bring my blonde out as well as other products do. Also to me it kinda smells like a mens aftershave...not too strong or anything just I don't know...hmmm... But hey...the softness is honestly unbelieveable!!
Tinted Moisturizer -Nivea - Visage Young Be Beautiful Tinted Moisturiser
groovypancakes 1/11/2009 6:49:00 AM
Pros: Errrr Didn't Go Flakey On My Forehead?? Cons: Looks Dirty, Dull And Doesn't Moisturie...Oh And Can Go Really Odd...Read On... OMG Ok, so my friend has this and said she really liked it. I don't think she's ever tried any other foundations or tinted moisturizers before though. But anyway I'm running out of foundation and only need a sheer coverage so I order a sample of this...I am SO glad I didn't pay any money or I would be hacked off!! When I got it out the packet I was a little skeptical because it was SO dark and I have relatively fair skin but when you rub it in it just disappears?? But then I looked closer and my face looked dirty and dull...NOT a good look!! I thought I may have not rubbed it in enough so I rubbed it in a bit more and then it started like grouping together...like when you get glue on your hands and rub them together...not nice!! Also it had NO coverage...I mean I was expecting sheer coverage but no coverage at all??? I swear it made my face even more red as well!! And about the moisturising bit...I didn't quite trust this so I put my moisturiser on as usual (Simple with a few drop of jojoba oil) and it felt like this was actually rubbing my moisturiser off!! No moisturising ability what-so-ever! Oh and it has an odd smell...I can't really work out if I like it or not... Overall HATING this product it made my skin look dirty, dull and it wasn't moisturising! The only good thing I can say about it was that it didn't flake on my forehead where all other foundations do.
Conditioner -TRESemme - Vitamin E Moisture Rich Conditioner
groovypancakes 11/10/2008 1:22:00 PM
PROS: It's cheap, makes it shine ok and makes my blonde come out quite well CONS: Doesn't make it as soft as Elvive! I was really surprised at how cheap this was and that was the main reason we got it (I use the shampoo with it too). My hairs in pretty good condition and this makes it quite soft but no way near as soft as Elvive (the pearl protein pink one) does! I mean seriously when I was using Elvive people would just stand there and stroke my hair and get their friends to stroke it! It was crazy! But hey...it's cheap...and it means I don't have greasey hands fondling my hair Lol It makes it shine quite well and brings my blonde out quite well and it smells SOOOOO good! Lol I will probably live off this stuff in Uni just because it's cheap and not too bad but for now (while mum pays) I think I'll go back to Elvive-just for the softness...Lol.
Ok so I put "Yes" to buy again but it's more like a maybe if I didn't find anything better. Lol PROS: My face spots haven't got worse and haven't had any real breakouts and my skins looking pretty good but that may be due to the amount of water I drink...Lol CONS: Aggravates my dry patches a bit, doesn't help my back/chest spots as much as I'd like it to, gets everywhere? Lol Ok so luckily my skin is pretty good these days, however I do still have spots on my back and chest, although these were starting to go away at some point. I also have problems with dry patches on my forehead that don't seem to go away even with moisturizer! Ok so my skin didn't get worse but I don't know whether that's because of the Tescos Value "Clear Skin" Spot treatment. and my backs got a bit worse however there are factors that this could be due down to. I'm only able to wash my back and chest with it about 2-3 times a week and also my medication ran out... Ok so bad thing...it does aggravate my dry patches...but not REALLY badly like alot of spot treatments. Well I think it does anyway...Lol The annoying thing is the little bits get EVERYWHERE and don't wash off that easily but hey whatever.

Ummm well I don't really think this makes much difference...I still use it as I am paranoid and I have to blowdry my hair after every shower or whatever so everyday. My hair still seems SLIGHTLY frizzy and abused even after using this. I'm not sure if it helped the shine. But I do think it makes it soft...or at least stops it from being coarse (my hair is naturally soft). Also, after taking it on holiday with me I found the pump action thingey broke =( So I brought the same one so that I could use the 3/4 of the bottle still left. It has lasted ages and I haven't even started on the other bottle yet. But when I do run out I doubt I would buy it again as I am sceptical as to whether it's actually doing anything! Oh but it does smell nice...lol UPDATE: Recently went to hairdressers and apperently my hair is in really good condition even though I dry my hair everyday so this stuff must be doing something right! Also I think it does make my hair more shiny than if I don't use it and soft... UPDATE: The pump broke AGAIN! So I bought another one...Lol I don't mind though because I like it and it's cheap...and smells sooooooooo good! Lol
Moisturizers -Olay - Olay Complete - Fragrance Free
groovypancakes 5/20/2008 8:50:00 AM
PROS: Doesn't break me out, the one I got had SPF, doesn't shine CONS: Didn't help my dry patches Ok so I have true combo skin. It's prone to acne with dry bits especially on my forehead and an oily patch on my nose. I got this mainly because it has an SPF in and I'm trying to keep my skin nice and healthy. I got the complete care version of this with the moisture, SPF and vitamins. I think it's done well on protecting my skin from the sun but it hasn't done much for my dry patches which was disappointing. But then again I don't use it every day which I probably should do so prehaps thats why. However, it hasn't made me breakout which I'm happy about and it's quite a good base for make-up and doesn't have that horrible shine effect! I probably wouldn't buy it again mainly because it doesn't sort out my dry patches, but then again, if I wasn't using my own money I wouldn't mind being given it for free.
I have the max version of this, the one in the black and it's black in colour. Admittedly I haven't had many mascara's before this one so I don't have all that much to compare it with but I do really like this mascara! I find I usually need two coats and when going out I like to use 3. Also It looks great when used with eyelash curlers. But yeah this mascara stays on for ages and is quite good at curling the lashes and has lasted me for a year so far and still going! Would definately buy again!
PROS: Moisturises, helps with acne, is not to oily and is dead cheap! Oh and it doesn't irritant your eyes if you get some in them. CONS: Has a bit of a weird texture and doesn't have a great smell but it doesn't put me off. I LOVE this stuff! It says it's for use as moisturiser but I've found it great for my acne prone skin and it doesn't dry out my dry patches on my forehead and doesn't make my nose oily unlike everything else I've used! Have been using it for about a month and my breakouts have almost completely disappeared. Also because you can use it on your whole body it's really good for people you have dry patches that are almost like a rash (I have these on my upper arms and it's really helped!) also it clears acne on the back and chest area. It's so cheap as well and you can get it at pretty much any drug store or pharamsist! LOVE IT! You'd be crazy not to get it!

Am even more impressed with this stuff!
Cleansers -Clearasil - Total Control Deep Pore Cream Cleanser
groovypancakes 5/14/2008 10:15:00 AM
PROS: Doesn't make acne worse, acts as an exfoliator and cleanser in 1. CONS: Drys out my skin, doesn't make my acne much better and stops working completely near to the end of the bottle. I have true combo skin - acne prone, dry patches on my forehead and an oily nose. I tried this but I didn't like the exfoliating particles in it as it felt like it was ripping my skin apart =S I don't think it cleared my acne very well but it didn't make it worse. However near the end of the bottle it stopped working and my breakout got pretty bad! Wouldn'e buy this again!
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Visibly Clear 2-in-1 wash mask
groovypancakes 5/14/2008 10:09:00 AM
PROS: Helps slightly with acne and doesn't make it worse, can be used as a face mask and a daily cleanser. CONS: Drys out my skin, doesn't clear acne THAT much, doesn't smell nice. Ok just so you know I am pretty acne-prone and also I have dry patches but an oily nose. This wash is ok but I haven't noticed a major difference in my complexion. I use it everyday. It hasn't made my ance worse but I don't think it's made it remarkedly better and I think it may be drying out my skin. Also it smells kinda gross! I doubt I would buy it again.
Powder -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Sandstorm
groovypancakes 5/14/2008 8:20:00 AM
PROS: None? CONS: Left orange patches over liquid foundation, doesn't come with some sort of applicator Really don't like this product! The one time I tried it over my liquid foundation it made me have orange patches and it looked like I was caked it foundation! Utterly humiliating and will never use it again let alone buy it again!
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Le Grande Kohl Eyeliner Pencil
groovypancakes 5/14/2008 8:15:00 AM
PROS: Doesn't come off, gives a good, bold colour/finish, lasts ages CONS: Won't come off? If thats a con Love this eyeliner. It was my first and I've still got it after about 3 years! Although it doesn't stay on the waterline it doesn't go under the eyes and create panda eyes like some of my friends have and it keeps your eyes dark thoughout the day because it sticks to the bottom eyelashes. The only thing is it doesn't want to come off! Overall great product! Would definately buy again!
