Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Eyes
rated 1 of 5

I have Asian monolid eyes, therefore I like to apply my top lid with a thick line so that it actually shows - I also like dark and pigmented eyeliner that has great staying power. Waterproof is a must for me as I have watery lower lash line which makes it pretty easy for eyeliner to smudge (hello Panda Eyes!). Purchased this in 1L, greyish/black that's charcoal color. Pigmentation was weak and didn't show up in a brilliant charcoal color that I was hoping for - Maybelline's charcoal liner for $10 does a better job than this. When applying it, it's definitely creamy so it doesn't pull against your skin - about the only plus to this product. Staying power? Hm, about 15 minutes. And then it starts to smudge while fading and ALSO smudging on the bottom lash line AND top lash line. Even drugstore products are better than this - save your money and go for Revlon Colorstay. This is NOT waterproof. Definitely returning this and getting some other brand of eyeliner - I'm really disappointed as I'm not willing to fork over $18 for an eyeliner that doesn't deliver as it says it will.

Powder -NYX - Twin Cake
rated 3 of 5
griziebuu 12/26/2011 6:34:00 PM

Oh, how I wish I could continue using this product!!! It's the perfect powder for me...I got it in the perfect shade, the coverage is great, and I love the silk finish. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to force myself to stop using this product because it's been breaking me out. I don't know about others, but it's been clogging my pores and I've been getting blackheads, zits, and pimples all over my face in places I've never even had it before. :( IT'S SUCH A SHAME. If it were not for the clogging factor, this would seriously be my HG powder. I'm so disappointed!

Fragrances -Marc Jacobs - Daisy Eau So Fresh
rated 4 of 5
griziebuu 12/23/2011 4:57:00 AM

Confession: I always considered myself to be very sensitive to fragrances and perfumes, so I've actually never bought perfumes because I was always afraid it would give me headaches, sneezes, etc. Okay, now that my confession is over, I'd been considering for awhile now that I definitely should be a fragrance because I am no longer a kid anymore. I was looking for something subtle yet still feminine and delicious to smell. I ended up coming across this one...but because I didn't want to take a risk by spending extra money and then hating the product, I went with the rollerball version of Daisy Eau So Fresh. It's subtle, sweet, floral, and fruity all at the same time. Great for anyone who isn't going for the "Oh no, she's coming again with that strong, heinous smell". It definitely does not smell 'old' or 'musky' like some perfumes out there and is perfect for young ladies. It just smells so good; I immediately applied it after I bought it and couldn't stop smelling my wrists as I walked around the mall - people thought I was crazy. As for rollerball packaging, I love how the tube is actually made of glass and not some cheap plastic (not that I was expecting that type from Marc Jacobs, but you know what I mean). It's cute to look at and very convenient to put into my purse so I can reapply it throughout the day. One thing I did have a problem with was staying power. :( After three hours, I could not smell it on me whatsoever. I ended up having to roll the fragrance on a little more aggressively afterwards. Definitely a 5 for the smell though. I can't get enough of it. And I can't complain too much about staying power when I have the rollerball version which like I said before, can stay in my purse so I can reapply it anytime I want.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Glo Illuminating Powder - Catwalk Pink #345
rated 5 of 5
griziebuu 9/23/2011 3:15:00 AM

LOVE this product! For it's cheap price, I really wasn't expecting much, but Wet 'N' Wild has done an amazing job with this product. I apply all four shades to a powder brush and gently put it all over my face (mostly on my cheeks, though). It has done wonders. I adore the fresh, dewy look it leaves. I haven't used it as e/s yet, but I might follow through and do that as well. Recommended for any girl who wants to look fresh and dewy. Would buy it again...if I ever run out because the amount seems very generous. :)

Concealers -Wet 'n' Wild - Coverall Stick
rated 1 of 5
griziebuu 9/22/2011 3:02:00 AM

Please people, don't buy this just because it's cheap like your fellow MUA member did. Love Wet N Wild's e/s, but when it comes to face products, spend a few more bucks and buy 'legit' products that uses has more quality. Firstoff, packaging sucks. Everything about it is very plastic; really, really cheap plastic. Nothing about it looks very attractive but I'll mention like I did in my previous post that for the price, it's passable. Now, onto application. When you apply it to your face, it just does not blend that well at all. It just 'sits' on top of your skin, and definitely do not apply it over some dry patch of skin because that'll make your dry patch of skin looked more pronounced. Nothing about it is really blendable, just cakey. Color selection is poor as well. It's mostly for pink undertones; none for yellow undertoned people like myself. Next, it irritated my skin like no tomorrow after I applied it for about 2 weeks. Suddenly I was getting these EXTREMELY dry, irritated, and red patches of skin all over my face! No matter how much lotion I used, it just did not go away. I kept using the concealer anyways, thinking something else was off. I decided to go with the notion that it might be an allergy; and I noticed it was happening in all the places where I usually apply my concealer! I stopped using it immediately afterwards, but it still took at least 2 months for the dry patches to go away. Never buying again. Threw it in the trash can. Yuck!

Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Last Lipcolor 905D Smokin' Hot Pink
rated 2 of 5
griziebuu 9/10/2011 2:33:00 PM

Bought this on a whim, because I heard many good things not only about Wet N Wild's eyeshadows, but also about their lipsticks. It's my first time actually having a lipstick that doesn't have a creamy texture to it when you touch the bullet or when you apply it; the lipstick's bullet reminds me more of a crayon than anything else. The pigmentation is ridiculously pigmented; just one swipe and voila, color! One main bone I have to pick on is that because of its crayon-texture, it's very uncomfortable to have on because it just does not moisturize or feel nice to have on your lips. It makes your lips feel extremely dry. Also, when you try to wipe it off, it won't come off... it'll get all over your face, and make you look a vampire because of the red stains all over your mouth. And it won't easily come off either! However, it'll probably last you the whole day. I don't really understand the name because it's far from "Smokin' Hot Pink." It is a bit more berry-colored. Packaging is sorta acceptable - feels cheap and it isn't the cutest packaging in the world. My least favorite part was that the revolving part at the bottom to make the lipstick come out of the tube a bit more wasn't functioning too well. Overall, it was much better than what I was expecting. Pigmentation is very important to me, and that's what it gave. Will be buying more.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Quad (all shades)
rated 1 of 5
griziebuu 7/13/2011 12:17:00 PM

Got this in Dynamite Drama (223). Very disappointed with the quality - just extremely chalky and powdery... and the colors barely show up! Personally for me, no matter how much I tried to "build up on the color," it just didn't work. You could barely see it. Only shade that was decent was the burgundy; even the gold didn't show up too well. Save your money and buy something better. Never buying CG eyeshadow again.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara
rated 1 of 5
griziebuu 6/6/2011 2:41:00 AM

I really tried hard to love this product, but it didn't work out. Grabbed this product last night from a local Rite-Aid because I fell in love with the name. Especially since I'm Asian and I have straight lashes, I wanted something that wouldn't clump, flake or smudge, but would hold my curls. I applied 2/3 coats and let it dry. It clumped a little so I had to use a lash brush; it has a tendency to make your lashes stick together which isn't really attractive. After only twenty minutes, I went to check the mirror - my lashes were drooping because the mascara can't hold curls and there were tiny black dots all over my eye because it was flaking. Also, the formula is terribly sticky. I decided to use my eyelash curler to pump my lashes more, and I had to carefully unlock the curler from my lashes because the stickiness from the mascara was giving my curler a hard time opening up! :( Wasted my money on this one.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
rated 4 of 5
griziebuu 5/29/2011 1:45:00 PM

Tried many drugstore eyeliners, but this has to be my favorite out of all of them. I bought the black eyeliner and loved how darkly pigmented it was. It glided on pretty easily when I applied it to my eyes. One factor I do have against is that whenever I apply it to my waterline, no matter how much powder I put underneath my eyes, it still smudges. It has happened a few times, and now I hesitate whenever I try to apply it to my lower lash line. However, it definitely stays on my upper lash line. Would recommend only for top lid, not lower lash line of eye.

Makeup Brushes -Clinique - Clear handled blush brush
rated 3 of 5
griziebuu 5/23/2011 3:50:00 PM

Got this brush as a gift from someone. There are definitely better brushes out there then this one. I was fine with the brush until I decided to wash it - boy, was that a mistake. Even after it dried, it still never went back to its original shape. It's now scratchy and shedding. will be tossing it the moment I buy a new brush from another company.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - ColorIcon Palette in Lust [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
griziebuu 5/23/2011 3:40:00 PM

I was definitely skeptical about buying their products, but now I'm an absolute fan. I've bought their eyeliners, eyeshadow pencils, but the eyeshadow palette in Lust just blew me away... IT'S BETTER THAN MOST OTHER COMPANIES THAT CHARGE MUCH MORE! sorry, had to put that in caps because it's totally true. I highly recommend it to everyone. The pigmentation is amazing and it's buttery soft. You won't regret spending your five bucks on Wet n Wild's eyeshadow palettes.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
rated 1 of 5
griziebuu 5/14/2011 1:48:00 AM

If I could give it a zero, I totally would. Clinique always boasts that it's hypoallergenic...definitely not for me! The moment I put it on, a couple minutes later my whole face broke out with rashes and swelled up like a balloon. Washing didn't help reverse the effect this lotion had on me. There was a mandatory meeting I had to attend and I ended up going with that ridiculous face. Painful memories. Threw it in the trash the very same day. Never ever buying this again.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Cream Shaper for Eyes - Chocolate Lustre
rated 5 of 5
griziebuu 5/14/2011 1:41:00 AM

Definitely my favorite brown eyeliner, hands down. I've used many brown eye liners, but nothing beats the unique color that this Clinique product has. Plus, the eyeliner really lives up to its name: it's creamy and doesn't easily diminish at all. Looove it.

Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Dual Use Eye Shadow Brush
rated 4 of 5
griziebuu 5/14/2011 1:38:00 AM

I was a bit iffy about buying a brush from drugstore because I was scared it might be bristly and harsh, but I'm glad to find out it's actually soft and doesn't irritate my eye when I apply eyeshadow. Both brushes on either side of the end works very well; I use the wider brush for my brow bone and the smaller one for e/s on eyelids. One thing that does bother me is that it's started shedding and I only bought it about a week ago...

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Pencil - White
rated 4 of 5
griziebuu 5/14/2011 1:08:00 AM

Just bought it at a drugstore - for its cheap price, it's great! The pencil had creamy liner that glided on easily. One thing that stops me from giving it a five is that it smudges especially when I put it on the lower lashline. But other than that, I would definitely buy it again.
