Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Long Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink

Another many raves product which I find just so so. Is it really the best gel eyeliner out there? Sure it does not smudge, but it doesn't possess a super stay on power neither. Once I applied it all over my lids and it disappeared in just 3 hours. Addition to that I felt annoyed that I must constantly re damped the applicator during application. I definitely prefer the original ink eyeliner over this.
Sunscreen -Banana Boat - Face Plus Sunblock SPF 23 for Normal/Combination Skin

I never like heavy sun protection product. It always smells funky, felt thick, and crazily oily. This one is not an exception. But it saves my skin from sunburn, did not let my Asian skin too tan either, so I guess this sun screen is okay. Since the expiration date is drawing near, I used it up for body lotion. Not a very good idea, my hands feel greasy and I hate the scent, can't wait to go back to my Vaseline.
It is my first kabuki brush so I can't really compare it to any other brand. The bristles are very soft and it produces flawless skin in a swipe. I always count on this brush for my party make up, and you will be surprise of how good quality brush could drastically reduces the time consumed by your make up routine. The price is wayyy up there, but it's definitely worthy.
Fragrances -Shiseido - relaxing fragrance [DISCONTINUED]

I love love love it. I am not a big fan of perfume, I find that the way other people's fragrance alerts your senses is somehow intruding. I prefer eau de toilette over it. But not many eau de toilettes have exquisite scent. This one does. It has subtle scent which I find relaxing and comforting. I sprayed it lightly in the morning and generously for occassions. My favorite so far.
Loose Powders -Clinique - Blended Face Powder in Transparency 3
greyishblue 12/27/2010 12:20:00 PM
Definitely my HG. It smoothly flatters any moisturizer I put on. It doesn't cause break out even over countless time I over slept with make up on. I have oily skin but this loose powder seems to find a way to subtle it. It is sold in big jar so at first glance of the price tag, u would think that it's pricey. But calculate the price over the content, u will be shocked by how this skin saviour is actually a steal.
I bought Dallas merely driven by the curiosity over Benefit box o powder. The color is very nice, just like the raves: Dallas is not just a blush on, it also can be used as a shading and adds dimention to your face. Unfortunately I find that the content :12 g of powder for blush on is too much. I like changing my blush on shade and is not particulary loyal to a single tone. Don't know when I am going to finish it, probably never.
Primer/ Corrector -Make Up For Ever - HD Microperfecting Primer in 5 Blue
greyishblue 12/27/2010 11:22:00 AM
The make up assistant on Sephora chose the No. 5 Blue for my medium light asian skin. She said it will help conceal few redness on my skin and also brighten (I ask for brightening formula since I plan to use it for occasional only). It smoothes my skin, minimizes pores, and really does brighten. So apply generously on the neck is a must or I'll end up looking very odd with complexion 2 shades lighter. I tend to break out every time I use this. But like I stated earlier, I only use it for special occasions, such as party or every time expect heavy camera flash around. After that I'll go back to my everyday moisturizer and poof... the break outs dissapear.
I love MUFE lipsticks. First I started with the 212 Lacquered, it's a warm beige pink color, very intense. I don't fancy the packaging then, it's a bit bulky and the transparent part of the tube wasn't flattering. But the fret is over now they have new lipstick collection in store with new packaging which I find very exquisite!I acquired the Matt 5, pink violet. The color is perfect with long lasting power. I don't like to splurge on having varieties of lip color, that's the only thing that keeps me from buying their entire collection =) Note: u need to apply lip balm prior, especially for the matte color
I don't like using foundation. Seems that the color always fails me. I never finish one bottle of foundation because I only use it on very special occasions thus have to throw away when it has due the expiration date. So when I have to attend a party that needs me to look flawless, I choose this one. I don't know exactly what this is. It's a pressed powder but the composition is a bit loose, so be careful when you open the packaging. Just swipe it lightly on particular area if you want some coverage and use a sponge to apply on all over face for a perfect flawless complexion. I use it before my 2 hour flight, and still after a dinner on humid night my friend said that my face looked radiant. The packaging is awful though, expect lots of spillover.
I love the color. It's a perfect nude peach for me. The color is not "that" special since most of my everyday lipstick almost similar with this one. But for me it's very refreshing because from now on I will not purchase any nude lipstick. Usually I have to apply lip balm prior to lipstick, now that I have bamboo, I don't have to. Just one quick application and voila..I'm ready to go. It does not have long staying power, but what do you expect? It is not a lipstick. Anyway I love that it's okay to reapply it everywhere in public places since it's only a lip balm. The tube is impossible though, it broke off soon I've started using it.
After browsing to many make up counters in search of a perfect concealer for me, I decided to purchase a MAC concealer which I'm sure is the safest choice. I told the sales assistant that I'm looking for a concealer to bright and conceal my under eye dark circles. She makes it perfectly clear to me that I can't have both with only one concealer, so I go for brightening look instead and she chose for me a studio sculpt. Turns out if I apply it lightly for everyday look it'll look really nice and if I want full coverage occasionally I just layered it a bit. It also looks really nice captured on camera flash light. One lippy off since I hate all dull black MAC packaging =P
Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Oval Concealer Brush

I wonder why they made the pointed tip at the center of the bristles really pointy. It's very sharp and keeps poking into my skin. Really hurts. Specially since I tend to use it for applying concealer around eye area. I washed it hopefully it'll smooth a bit. Try using it for other parts of my face and no way near the skin around my eye, still....it keeps poking poking poking. Really really hurts. I don't know what I'm going to do with this brush.
Eyeliner -Bourjois - Khol & Contour Eyeliner Pencil
greyishblue 11/5/2009 10:22:00 AM
I got it in Ultra Black and it smudges like crazy!!Once I tried to apply it as an eyeliner on my upper lids and it transfered to my under eye area every time I blinked. I have been using The Body Shop eyeliner as a daily routine and it stays all day with no visible smudge. But with this one....wow...I was thinking maybe if I just apply lightly it would not smudge all over..but no...no matter how light I apply..it unmercifully smudges. So now I just use it on my under eye water line cause it seems the only safe place. They should put a warning in the package says: "careful heavy smudge."
Primer/ Corrector -Everyday Minerals - Pick Me Up Pink [DISCONTINUED]
greyishblue 10/18/2009 3:15:00 PM
I read all this wonderful reviews here and can not believe that it does not work for me as a primer at all. I am Asian with light/medium complexion. If apply this product all over my face as a primer, it goes very chalky and my complexion turns ashy. I believe it'll work great on pink undertone rather than my skin which is more yellowy. Although it works great as a highlighter and the website does not mention it as a primer. I will continue using it as a highlighter instead. I use it on my under eye to create light diffusing effect occasionally (it's too bright for everyday use). Very little goes along the way. It is not what I am looking for though.
