I really wanted to love this eye serum/cream, not only because it cost me so much but also because the product details and info sounded so promising. Plus I'm also a HUGE fan of the Super Aqua range and Guerlain products in general. But unfortunately this didn't do much for me at all. Some of the pros are that it comes in a pump bottle which is handy and probably more hygenic, it's also fragrance-free (unlike the majority of Guerlain products) and the serum sinks in well without any sticky residue or irritation. But as far as moisturising properties go, I really didn't find it moisturising enough for me at all, and in fact I stopped using it half-way as I found I was getting too many fine, dry lines under my eyes. So this serum is probably better for people who don't have such dry skin in the eye area, and just want something lightweight.
Cleansers -La Prairie - Cellular Cleansing water eyes & face

I wish I didn't like this product so much because I can't justify paying that much for a cleansing water! But it really does a wonderful, quick and effortless job of removing all my makeup in one step. I find it doesn't irritate my skin/eyes and leaves my skin smooth and refreshed. This is a great product if you can't be bothered cleansing with water at night, but want something to remove makeup well. Plus it definitely works a lot better than the horrible L'Oreal, Garnier etc makeup remover wipes I used to use in the past.
Moisturizers -La Prairie - Advanced Marine Biology Night Solution
grenadine 5/22/2010 9:16:00 AM
A decent, lightweight hydrating lotion that sinks in really well and keeps skin smooth. However I have to warn those with senstive skin (& noses!) that it's very highly fragranced! Although I don't mind the scent itself I still find it very overpowering. As for the product itself; like I said it's quite lightweight so if you have really dry skin then I don't recommend this. It's better suited to combo-oily dehydrated skin types and I really don't find it moisturising enough for my skin. The packaging: LP products are usually always packaged in a very classy & chic way, but maybe not very practical...this product comes in a glass pump jar. I like the pump, but I guess the glass makes it a bit heavy & also hard to travel with. Not sure I will purchase again, my skin needs something more rich.
Treatments -Dermalogica - Concealing Spot Treatment
grenadine 2/27/2010 11:46:00 PM
This product actually really does work, but I'm not sure why Dermalogica decided to make the product so watery and runny, and then also packaged it in a tiny glass jar with a dropper applicator??!! This makes it almost impossible to use!! I have ended up wasting so much of the product and it seems to drip everywhere when I try to use it gah! Just as well it works quickly in drying out blemishes, so I may repurchase and I find the shade is not too dark or orange on me. Overall it's a pretty good product if you want something to quickly dry out and conceal blemishes.
Moisturizers -La Prairie - Cellular Resurfacing Cream
grenadine 2/27/2010 11:33:00 PM
LP is truly amazing, their products usually work wonders on my skin! My skin looks and feels smoother since using this and I have noticed some breakouts and blackheads starting to clear as well, thanks to the various AHA/BHA in it. I find the texture quite lightweight and easily absorbed which I love, the scent is a bit overpowering but not too bad. It's similar to the Hydro Repair night gel/cream which I used to use but found it made my skin sting a little, but this product definitely seems to suit my skin. I'm thinking of trying to use more LP skincare products to fix my somewhat problem skin...well that is if I can afford it! But will def repurchase this product for a while.
Treatments (Eye) -Estee Lauder - Re-Nutriv Revitalizing Comfort Eye Cream
grenadine 2/7/2010 8:43:00 PM
I have been searching ages for a really good moisturising eye cream for senstive dry skin, so I decided to give this a try. I have to say I've been quite impressed so far, but also say this because EL eye creams are generally horrible on my skin & they always give me some sort of breakout(s)!! But this one is lovely; it has a smooth hydrating texture that is easily absorbed and it has a slight coconut type scent which isn't too bad. Overally I really like the texture of this product and will repurchase until I find something amazing again.
Treatments (Eye) -Clarins - Skin-Smoothing Eye Mask
grenadine 2/24/2009 9:44:00 PM
I would have to agree with the vast majority of reviews here and say this product is pretty average. I generally won't say I'm a huge fan of Clarins products although some of the products do smell pretty nice! :) This really didn't seem to do much for the skin around my eyes in terms of moisturising it or reducing puffiness or anything. Also I was quite suprised to read the ingredients list as it appears to contain rice starch as one of the main active ingredients & it also contains triclosan which I though is more commonly used for oily/acne skin types! :S But I received this as a free gift with purchase & I doubt I will ever purchase the original full-size product.
Powder -Bare Escentuals - BareMinerals foundation #2.3 Medium Beige
grenadine 7/11/2008 8:26:00 AM
After many, many months of deciding whether to get BE makeup based on very mixed reviews, I finally purchased the foundation in this shade. It's probably a tad bit too dark & orangey for my skin but for some reason I thought the "light" shade looked darker and more beige on me so I just go this one. I have to say BE makes me look more flawless than any other mineral makeup I have tried/used (& I have used a few!...JI also made my skin flawless but gave me a baaad rash!!) I also actually like the shimmer effect even though under some lightening it can be a bit extreme! I agree that it can be quite messy to apply & I find I always waste a lot of product when I try to open/close the lid. But I will continue to use this as I loooove the coverage! I am seriously still searching for something that is may be better or just as good & cheaper, cos $70 for a 9g pot/jar (note: I live in Australia...where cosmetics/skincare is very over-priced grrrr!!) is just too expensive imo!!
Treatments -Clinique - repairwear intensive lip treatment
grenadine 12/1/2007 8:22:00 PM
This is my fav lip treatment at the moment...& yes sure it is quite expensive but for me it's working wonders on my dry, flakey lips! I've been pretty impressed with Cliniques "newer" skincare products lately as I think they're a lot better than the older formulas, plus the packaging on this is pretty sleek too! ;) Will def be repurchasing this for a while.
This is my new fav product at the moment! I'm so glad I decided to fork out all that $$$ to actually get it because my skin is starting to look good for once! I quite like the packaging which only squirts out a tiny amount of product (which is all you need really) & the texture is really smooth & silky which gives a nice healthy, matte glow. I guess it's pretty expensive considering the amount you get, but I'll definitely re-purchase this again & again!
Cleansers -Ultraceuticals - Ultra Clear Exfoliating Gel Cleanser
grenadine 2/8/2007 7:43:00 AM
I got a very generous GWP size of this, and I'm glad I got it for free! I find it way to harsh, & the smell is too strong almost like some sort of bathroom cleaner. Not worth the price, but like I said I'm glad I didn't pay for mine. I have started using this again for a while along with the rest of the Ultraceuticals range & now I can safely I'm loving it & my skin!! Plus I've now gotten used to the scent, but most importantly my skin is looking so much smoooother!!!
Cleansers -Ultraceuticals - Ultra Milk Cleanser with soy extract
grenadine 2/8/2007 7:39:00 AM
I'm not really a big fan of most Ultraceuticals products, I find them too overrated & priced. I especially did not like this product, I agree that it smells odd & the texture is a bit too milky. I also think it doesn't clean that well & leaves a residue on my skin.
I love this shampoo, definitely one of the best of used!...& I've used quite a few. It adds a decent amount of volume & leaves my hair silky!
I also love the scent of this conditioner & also the rest of the Darphin hair products I've tried so far. It has a gorgeous delicate floral scent...almost like fresh flowers but hard to explain! :) This is a such an extravagant conditioner & when I use it with the Darphin volume shampoo I feel like I'm being pampered at a luxurious day spa! I will continue to use this as it makes my hair so soft & shiny, or until I find something better & cheaper...but I don't I will stop using this anytime soon!! :D
I love Aesop & this is such a gorgeous light lathering/foaming cleanser. It doesn't make my skin dry at all & it didn't have that weird slippery after-feel of Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel. I also quite like its herbal smell & the fact that it's mainly made from natural ingredients...but I don't like the packaging, it's not very practical! :S
