Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Metallic Eye Shadow in Champagne Quartz
gracyy 3/5/2013 5:24:00 PM
Beautiful champagne color! Very flattering on WOC! I use it as a highlighter and am NW43 MAC and 6.5 warm almond Bobbi Brown for reference. What the classic eyeshadow 'Bone' is to fairer skintones 'Champagne Quartz' is the same for warmer skin girls. It has just the right amount of pink in it which makes it adaptable to our skintone, blends nicely and is therefore very subtle and not so in your face like a simple golden highlighter would be! Highly recommend!

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Blush Brush
gracyy 3/4/2013 7:26:00 PM
AWESOME brush! It does all the blending work all by itself, so no need to worry when dealing with highly pigmented blush. It picks up just the right amount of product needed in one swipe, and the tapered cut of the brush contours the cheek bones beautifully, with no effort. Lastly, like every Real Technique brushes , the bristles clean up very well, dry fast and remain soft. A great purchase, go get it! Especially since it is so affordable, I bought it £10.99 at Boots.

Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Asian Flower
gracyy 4/26/2012 7:37:00 PM
Love it! bought it today as soon as I saw it. First it is a creme sheen, so of course it is super soft and moisturizing, layers well with decent color payoff. It is a more lilac/purple version of MAC Playtime lipstick (limited edition) which is basically the same but has more pink and is warmer. Asian Flower, is more cool toned with hints of blue. Good for those who want a pop of color, without going all out! because it is light but pigmented (if that makes sense). Has a glossy sheen to it which makes it more 'wearable' as well I guess. lilacs/purples/pinks flatter every skintone, so go ahead and pair it with any plumish liner like Currant, Nightmoth (or simply wear it alone), and ur good!

Lipstick -MAC - Dish it up
gracyy 4/15/2012 10:04:00 AM
Gorgeous berry shade that would flatter all skin tones! also a great color for those who are new to berry/plum/ lips because it is not so striking (like ie: Rebel lipstick by MAC) but very soft, subtle and buildable. Just the right pop of color! Very moisturizing, and glides on smoothly. It has a slight sheen/glossy finish to it. Im an NW43 for reference..

Blush -Sleek - Scandalous Blush

Another NW43 here! if a black chick could blush, this is what it would look like. Great natural looking flush of color, WOC approved! You also get an amazing amount of product for the price you pay, so its gonna last you for awhile. Very pigmented! so use with a light hand.

Eye Shadow -MAC - parfait amour shadow
gracyy 1/11/2012 4:48:00 PM
I LOVE this color! MAC often has 'hits and miss' and this one is certainly a hit, especially for women of color. It is a gorgeous purple/blue pearlescent color; so it reflects light beautifully! and looks even better and more vivid over a purple or lavender base. It has a satin finish, so it allows a smooth application on the lid. A MUST HAVE!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Beauty Marked
gracyy 1/11/2012 4:25:00 PM
The thing with this eyeshadow is to pack it on the lid and not to swipe it. That way you are able to get the glitter as well and not just the black shadow. You have to use a red base with this if you want the purple/red/ payoff. I use Nyx jumbo pencil in cherry when I use this. I like it, but I understand it could be frustrating at first though...

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
gracyy 11/10/2011 5:44:00 PM
I read reviews about people saying how it terribly broke them out, well.....my skin is going through the worst breakout right now! I have sensitive skin but I overlooked these comments because I have used the Mineralize Skinfinish Liquid Foundation by MAC before and nothing happened. So I don't know what goes on in the making of this foundation but its DEFINATELY not sensitive skin friendly. With that being said.. Review: -Awesome coverage and a beautiful finish. A must if you want that 'beat-face-all-dolled-up' look. -Must however blend well with a duo-fiber brush, I used my Mac 180. It doesnt have the best slip and it dries quickly so you must work fast and one section at a time. -Best used with Fix+ sprayed on your face prior to application, makes blending easier and gives a smooth non cakey look. -Its quite thick so have a light hand, and slowly build coverage. -Horrible smell, very chemical. -Oil skin / Sensitive skin STAY AWAY or use with caution. Will I use again? BIG NO, will have to give away a perfectly new and full bottle. Is it a great foundation? a little overrated, but yes. I prefer my MUFE HD and Bobbi Brown oil free liquid anyday!

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
gracyy 8/3/2011 6:36:00 AM
Best budget mascara hands down! if am not using my Diorshow, this is second best. It glides easily and smoothly coats your lashes, for an elongated sultry clean look. No clumps or thick smudged lashes here ! (which many other mascaras do and end up giving you the racoon eye because of all the heavy deposit)

Blush -MAC - vintage grape
gracyy 8/1/2011 6:13:00 PM
I love love LOVE this blush. I remember when this collection came out, I went in store for the Ripe Peach but it was sold out and only one Vintage Grape was left. You can swipe the brush through to get a mix of both plumish/fuschia color. Or use the purple wine color to contour and add the hot pink on the apple of the cheek. Very subtle and sophisticated, it has very discret gold reflects to it which gives the satin finish. Pair with any pink lipstick - Girl about town, Pink nouveau looks great!

Blush -NYX - Desert Rose
gracyy 8/1/2011 5:21:00 PM
GREAT blush for my NW43 skin! a very pretty plumish rosy color that would look great on every dark skin. it is so silky smooth and glides on just as smoothly on your skin. It is very pigmented and true the color on the pan. It is a wearable, everyday blush, adds a nice flush very sexy! and it doesnt wear off at the end of the day. For the price, you cant beat such quality!

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
gracyy 4/16/2011 12:51:00 PM
BEST foundation hands down! it is light and easily absorbed in the skin, buildable color which blends well on the skin, gives a natural satinfinish! Yes ure supposed to use with the HD powder after, but it looks even more glowy and natural when u follow with MACS mineralizing powder (mine in Dark). I truly believe a MUST foundation for every chick, especially my fellow black sistas! Make4ever has a great range of shades for women of color.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 227 Large Fluff Brush
gracyy 4/8/2011 2:59:00 AM
Great brush! of course top quality..like always MAC! I use it for applying powder under my eyes, to set my concealer. Its great for those little areas where your face brush cant go, like around the nose, under eyes etc. I also use it for highlight on the browbone, for those who dont like too much brow highlight. or it looking too shiny on the browbone, it applies the right 'hint' and blends at the same time, for a natural finish. Also great for packing glitter on lid, for overall shimmer. LOVE that it is multi-use, you can use it anywhere. Great buy!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Veluxe - Kid
gracyy 3/26/2011 4:40:00 AM
Great neutral, don't expect much color, it is matte. its great to soften the crease; If your looking for natural, clean, neutral face Kid is the way to go. Use a blending and softening eyeshadow (if that makes sense? lol) And the texture is great, veryy soft.
