Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer Kit (Reformulated & New packaging 2011)
graciegurl 4/6/2012 1:42:00 AM
The texture was nice on my skin (dry skin type), but I was underwhelmed by and disappointed in its performance overall. The concealer does not blend as well as I thought it would sometimes, and it's not long-lasting, even with the powder on top. In fact, sometimes I feel that the powder isn't efficient either. I like Bobbi's corrector, but not this concealer kit. For the price, I expected more out of this product. I have had drugstore concealers that have done a better job and lasted longer than this one.

Lips -Sephora - Lush Flush Wine Lip & Cheek Stain
graciegurl 7/1/2010 12:01:00 PM
I have the original version, wine, and it's generally quite good. It's not HG status, but for what it is and for what it's worth, it's a nice lip & cheek stain. I usually use it on my lips, and it comes out a pretty pinkish color. Sometimes I use it on my cheeks, but rub it in quickly, unless you want to have red/pink dots on your face . . . not a good look lol. I previously used Stila's Cherry Crush lip & cheek stain, and they don't seem to be very different, except a bit in color, and definitely in price (I think the Stila was $28 or so, and the Sephora one was $12).

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad - 750 Twilight
graciegurl 1/5/2010 9:33:00 PM
This was my first cream eyeshadow palette, and I love the colors. However, they do fade very quickly and yes, they do tend to crease (I have normal lids). However, I love the sheen of the shadows and they're very smooth, creamy, and quite blendable. I always get compliments when I wear this, but people sometimes don't know whether it's blue or silver xD. i usually use the two similar colors, sometimes i add the dark silver color. i probably wouldn't buy this again because i don't use it much, and there are probably better options out there, but I still like it. These are great for a quick, edgy/pretty/sexy look, depending on your preference, but be prepared for touch-ups.

Liquid -Maybelline - Pure Makeup [DISCONTINUED]
graciegurl 11/26/2009 10:52:00 PM
At first, I liked it because it was 50% water and all that, and it was really cheap. I wasn't too fond of the finish but figured at the price, it was worth it. However, I ended up with a HUGE BUMP on my face. I have clear skin--no pimples or anything--and it wasn't even a zit, it was just a big bump, like a nasty blister-looking thing. It was disgusting, and the foundation was the only thing in my routine that was different.

Concealers -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy Fast Fix Concealer
graciegurl 11/21/2009 7:39:00 PM
This is SO DRYING. I bought it once, and when I tried it, it was HORRIBLE. It caked and made my undereye area look like it was flaking off. Disgusting.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Metallic Duo - Magnetic #206
graciegurl 10/28/2009 10:36:00 PM
Wow, I bought this during the summer along with Sculpted in a BOGO 50% off sale at CVS, and I wrote a review for Sculpted but not for this. I finally got around to using it today (Halloween Costume Day at my school), and I was going as an Egyptian/Cleopatra/woman from some exotic place. I wore intense eye makeup, but I guess it turned out pretty well since people told me it looked perfect like it was out of a magazine. Anyway, I really wanted to do a turquoise eye but didn't have time to get that color (my dress had brown, green, blue, and gold colors), so I used this instead. The color payoff is very nice, but the darker color is darker than it looks, at least on me. For reference, I'm Asian, and I'm really pale, which might be why the color looked dark. It lasted quite long too--I didn't even need to touch it up at all! I'm glad I got this, and I will probably use this for a smoky eye in the future. EDIT: This is perfect for a daytime look too (the light blue shade).

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Smooth Operator Smoothing Lustre Lotion
graciegurl 10/16/2009 9:00:00 PM
HG!!!! I LOVE this product!! <333 I'm Asian, but I have naturally curly/wavy hair that no one seems to know how to style . . . I have major problems with frizz and dryness, and the texture of my hair wasn't that great. I used this (I didn't buy it cuz I thought it was just hype . . . then I gave in when I saw it one sale for $3.99 at my local Waldbaum's. OHMYGOD, this is a lifesaver. it really does what it says it will: it makes my hair smooth, manageable, very silky-soft, shiny frizz-LESS . . . and so on. This is the one hair product I use besides shampoo & conditioner, and it's really all I need. Plus the packaging is simply adorable. It's too cute <333 and so girly. I will DEFINITELY buy again!! i've been using this for a while now, and i will never stray to another product unless i have to. it's kinda pricey, but there seems to be a lot in it, and the packaging is really cute . . . I would prefer to get it on sale though. I only wish I'd gotten this sooner.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Shimmer Strips Waikiki Strip/Peachy Glow Bronzer
graciegurl 10/16/2009 8:40:00 PM
So, as a bronzer . . . I used to use it for that purpose but realized it just made me look INSANELY SPARKLY. so i stopped using it. but then i decided to use it as just an eyeshadow palette, and it is GORGEOUS. the colors range from a very nice soft pink to a beautiful gold (i use this one the most) to copper, bronze, and a dark brown--all very shimmery, obviously. it's very good for a glowy, dewy, bright-eyed look, and the texture is quite nice. however, as a bronzer, I think that it's too glittery, and even as a highlighter, it's OTT. but some people seem to love using this as a bronzer, highlighter, and/or eyeshadow, so i guess it's a personal thing. anyway, i love it <33

Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720
graciegurl 10/1/2009 7:57:00 PM
WOW!! This is a great matte bronzer--did I mention that it's matte, and not full of chunks of glitter like most other bronzers? It's only $2.99 or so, and it's really good for the price--the quality is great. It sometimes looks slightly orange, but just a bit. The compact doesn't close quite easily--the clasp is a bit weird, maybe it's just mine. AND, it lasted thru a tough cross-country meet!! seriously--i applied it a little past 6am, and at 10pm, after school & the meet and everything--it was still there when I removed my makeup. That, in my opinion, is amazing =] Besides, for the price, you can't go wrong.

Concealers -Revlon - Age Defying Spa Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
graciegurl 10/1/2009 7:53:00 PM
I LOVE THIS!! This concealer is easy to blend & to match to skin tone, lightens your undereyes & brightens to make them look more awake . . . I took off one lippie because it doesn't do THAT great a job at masking undereye circles--it's more of a brightener than a concealer. Anyway, for its price and everything, it's really good. Try it =]

Eyeliner -Victoria's Secret - vs eyeliner in black velvet
graciegurl 9/26/2009 8:09:00 PM
I really like this eyeliner--besides, for the price, you can't really go wrong. It's a nice soft black shade, very long-lasting, and while I can make a pretty thin line, it's also smudgable and blendable. It has a smudger tip at the end, but I haven't tried using it yet. Overall, good buy. EDIT: whoa!! it lasted thru my long track practice!! LOVE it!!

Lipstick -Victoria's Secret - Sheer Gloss Stick in Only You (Rose)
graciegurl 9/26/2009 8:07:00 PM
I love this!! I really like the new VS line in general, but this product is great--I never thought this shade would look good on me (I'm Asian & I have very pale skin) but it suits me =] It's quite moisturizing, which I'm glad about right now since I'm sick and my lips are chapped and peeling. Also, this gloss/lipstick covers the flakes and peeling spots and makes my lips look flawless. I will be trying other colors as well. EDIT: This gloss/lipstick reminds me of Benefit's Silky Finish lipsticks, which I have in Nice Knickers, because they are really glossy for lipsticks. Of course, that makes them not very long-lasting, but they're so pretty, I don't really care. That's what my lip stain or lip liners are for anyway.

Lip Gloss -Stila - Lip Glaze Stick in Apricot
graciegurl 9/26/2009 8:02:00 PM
I LOVE the color--however, the amount of product you get is shockingly little for the price, and it is very sticky. Also, the twist-up applicator sucks. I had to throw my first one out because the applicator stopped working, and I had only used 1/4 of the gloss. What a waste of money.

Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Talc-Free Mineral Face Powder - Light Bronzer
graciegurl 9/26/2009 8:00:00 PM
This is an okay bronzer, but overpriced, even tho I got it in a buy one get one 1/2 off sale. It's pretty matte, but I don't like it too much. It's quite expensive for the quality and for a drugstore product. I have recently turned to Benefit's HOOLA bronzer, which is much, much better. For reference, I'm Asian, with really pale skin.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Color Quick Fast Dry Nail Color Pen
graciegurl 9/26/2009 7:57:00 PM
These are okay . . . I got them during a sale and have Crimson (a red/berry shade) and Sand Shimmer, which is really pretty nude/light pink shade w. shimmer (as it says in its name). However, it chips easily, but most quick-dry polishes do.
