Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen Creme Cup
gossipkween 3/18/2010 7:23:00 AM
one of my favorites! if you like pink lippies, this is for you. the cremesheen formula glides on silkily, and this color is beautiful to boot. it's a natural, neutral pink. much more subtle and warmer than angel (i find angel leaning towards the cool side). it's also not too pale, nor dark. i would classify this as a nude-ish lippy but not so as you look dead, it's perfect and will suit both neutral or smokey eyes. very girly, yer not over the top barbie pink. (it's not close to snob at all - snob is much more garish and purple).

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mink & Sable - Starflash Collection
gossipkween 8/4/2008 8:54:00 PM
this is a cross between greensmoke and sumptuous olive - a beautiful golden-olive green. it's more similar to sumptuous olive, but SO is much more brown/khaki toned, while M&S is a touch darker and greener. if you find SO a bit muddy (it can look a little too poopy green on my NC35 complexion) or are looking for a more vibrant olive tone, definitely give M&S a try! the texture is also fabulous, highly pigmented (more so than SO), creamy, and very blendable.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Electro Flash - Polar Opposite
gossipkween 7/29/2008 4:07:00 AM
beautiful duo! one side is a pure light silver (no blue or green tones here) that makes eyes absolutely sparkle. the darker shade is a dark grey with purple/plum undertones. the darker color definitely reminds me of moth brown (my HG) but with a more shimmery finish and slightly more purple. both shades are great alone or together and create a nice smokey eye. the finish is soft, smooth, and very pigmented, but i do recommend using a base with these as there is fall out and color tends to stick onto lids better.

Blush -MAC - sunbasque
gossipkween 7/9/2008 8:00:00 AM
one of my new HGs! sunbasque is a beautiful bronzed peach with hints of gold. it's highly pigmented and looks wonderful on a plethora of skintones - and would especially compliment warm or tan ladies! im a warm nc35-40 and sunbasque gives me a bronzey, healthy glow. this is perfect for summer!

Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium Dark
gossipkween 6/6/2008 5:10:00 AM
i cant live without this MSF ! it's great for adding an extra kick to your foundation by evening out skintone and providing a light glow. it doesn't control oilies so use a translucent powder after!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Barbie-Fashion Pack
gossipkween 2/15/2007 9:28:00 PM

not similar to prrr at all! it's a sheer gloss with a hint of shimmer--NO frostiness at all! since this is a creme formula (as opposed to the usual frosts) this lipglass leaves a nice shiny glimmer to my lips--love it! be forwarned that this is a fairly sheer color, definitely not a lot of color on my pigmented lips. it's a little reminiscent of flash of flesh minus the glitter.

Polishes -Essie - Cool Lots
gossipkween 2/9/2007 7:19:00 AM
i am so dissapointed in this color! cool lots looks ultra pretty in the bottle, a shimmery soft peachy, apricot gold color. however, it is MEGA sheer. even after three thick coats, my nails still looked basically clear--except with a slight gold shimmery top coat. i ended up wiping my nails off and using OPI LPAD instead. :X ladies, if you are expecting something opaque, cool lots isn't for you. the color is extremely subtle (almost clear) but i imagine it would be okay layered over other polishes.

Polishes -OPI - Lincoln Park After Dark
gossipkween 2/9/2007 7:15:00 AM
adore the pro wide brush, and most of all, adore the color! im in love with vamps and this pretty much goes as one of my favorites. LPAD is supposed to be a eggplanty/black..but after 2 coats it looks virtually black (albeit tinged with a little purple). the purple is VERY subtle, so if you want something a little more bright, this isn't it. i also love using essie wicked and comparing the two, wicked is much more reddish brown and a tad bit lighter. i love both, but LPAD is definitely a good alternative if you aren't quite ready for jet black nails.

Shampoo -LUSH - BIG
gossipkween 5/11/2006 3:03:00 AM
had to get used to the smell at first--and i'm still not terribly fond of ot. this shampoo is fairly expensive and is packaged in a really cheap container. the good thing about this product is that it works wonderfully as a clarifying shampoo. it also has lots of lather. however, i can only use this once a week or my hair will get completetly dried out. this is some strong stuff. i probably will not repurchase..the tub will last a looong time (a little goes a long way)

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Pink Oyster Glossimer
gossipkween 5/11/2006 2:59:00 AM
this product is faily "mEh". looks like a beautiful shocking pink with shimmer in the tube, but comes out almost clear on my lips. not enough pigment in this gloss, not to mention that it's really hard to get the product out of the tube (for some reason gloss doesn't get onto the applicator). for $24, i'll pass.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
gossipkween 5/11/2006 2:56:00 AM
awesome brush! this is VERY exp (even with a 30% discount) but it is WONDERFUL. my 129 blush brush used to be a staple, but i haven't touched it since i got the 187. im not sure if it's the size of the 187, the bristles, or what, but my blush application looks so much better. gives my face a perfect glow.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Baked Eyeshadow Trio - Bronze Glow
gossipkween 5/11/2006 2:53:00 AM
i love this. i bought bronze glow because it looked most unique (and pretty) out of all the other trios. the medium shade is a rosey bronze, which is gorgeous. the packaging is exceptionally cute and at $24 for 3 shades, this is a pretty reasonable price. the colors are shimmery, soft and perfect for summer. if you're looking for the perfect bronze goddess or neutrals with a bit of a kick, this trio is for you!

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Soft Coeur Massage Bar (The Honeymooner)
gossipkween 4/14/2006 3:48:00 AM
this smells yummy! it's not TOO foody but you can smell sweetness in there. this is a fun bar to use..i love how it melts so easily once it comes in contact with my skin. mositurizing properties are fine. the chocolate center is a waste IMHO. it just wont sink into my skin. this bar is also very small and a bit pricey for what you get (this gets used up fast). overall, i will buy this again because i'm a sucker for gimmicky things.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
gossipkween 4/13/2006 2:26:00 AM
i do have some slight issues with this product, but YES it works. i have oily skin and lids, and this product makes my eye makeup look fresh all day. NO CREASING. i put my makeup on in the AM and by nightfall, even after the gym, my shadow looks untouched. i also find that my liner seems to smudge a teensy bit less (albeit, it still does). howeveer, shadows do seem harder to blend..which makes me want to take off a lippy. :/ maybe i was using a bit too much? i will try to experiment more and edit this review later on. the packaging is cute but i wish it came in a squeeze tube (more sanitary and so we can see the amt of product left). overall, if i still have blending issues, i'll use this for shadows which dont require as much work. otherwise, HG status!

Powders -LUSH - Silky Underwear Dusting Powder
gossipkween 4/13/2006 2:21:00 AM
the packaging is CRAP, but i love this! i use this as a sort of novelty product and dust it aorund areas of my body that tend to sweat (underarms, thighs) or just wherever i want a fresh, clean feeling. i dusted some on my sheets last night and it felt SO NICE. the scent of this is a lovely jasmine with a hint of vanilla. very calming and girly--reminds me of victorian era days. i do, however have complaints with the packaging. even when it's closed, powder leaks all over the place. handle with caution! at 8.95 USD this is a pretty good price for LUSH!
