Masks -LUSH - The Sacred Truth biofresh mask
gorbe 3/13/2013 11:11:00 PM
This is one of my favorite facial masks. Ever. I have tried many. And two from LUSH. This leaves my skin feeling SO soft and clean. After I use it I can't even bring myself to put makeup on, my skin feels so nice. It has a nice scent, too, to me. Not to strong, kind of earthy and natural. Would definitely repurchase.

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste in Malice #71
gorbe 3/13/2013 11:09:00 PM
A warm, flattering peachy coral color. I have tons of blushes near this shade, but this one stands out, due to the great pigmentation. I reach for it all the time. It also lasts longer than most blushes do on me. A bit expensive, but lasts and is worth the cost in my opinion.

Tinted Moisturizer -Wet 'n' Wild - Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer--Sunkissed
gorbe 3/13/2013 11:07:00 PM
This is one of the best foundations I've used, either high or low end. (well, technically a tinted moisturizer). I like pretty light/medium coverage, and this gives me that. It's pretty sheer but relatively buildable. This shade, sunkissed, matches my NC30 skin very well. it lasts a decent amount of time (most of the workday) on me, when used over a primer and set with powder. And, it's like 4 dollars. Would definitely repurchase. Only downside: the packaging. It's decent when it's relatively full but once it gets low it's hard to get out. I ended up cutting it open and just using the last of it with a brush, right off the inside of the bottle.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Ponche
gorbe 1/20/2013 1:07:00 AM
This smells amazing. I love citrus-y smelling things. This is not overly sweet or fake smelling. Just a kind of light orange-ish scent. It lathers really well and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. The smell lingers for a bit. Would definitely re-buy. I think it's seasonal though :(.

Mascara -Maybelline - Illegal Length Fiber Extensions
gorbe 6/9/2012 9:26:00 PM
This is the best mascara I've ever used. It beat out Maybelline's "The Falses" which is also good. This is even better, as it seperates, holds a curl, lasts all day, and adds length. It can be layered for a dramatic look. People ask if I'm wearing fake eyelashes when I wear this. Love it.

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Lollipop
gorbe 6/9/2012 9:24:00 PM
This is a bright, pinky fuschia. It actually works with my NC30 skin. It's bright yeah, but I like it. Formula is smooth, pigmented, but not too thick and "lipsticky". Definitely recommend.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle
gorbe 1/20/2012 11:02:00 PM
This (along with "Sugar plum") is one of my favorite lip butter shades. This is a perfect my lips but better color. I have NC30 olive skin. This looks natural while still adding just a bit of color, and making lips look smoother and fuller. The texture/pigmentation, as with Would definitely repurchase.

Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum
gorbe 1/7/2012 4:22:00 AM
I agree with the other reviewers that this is an excellent, flattering shade. I imagine it would look great on a wide variety of skin tones. It looks natural and warm toned with my NC30 skin. Goes with a wide variety of other makeup looks, doesn't really seem to "clash" with anything I've worn it with so far. Texture wise it is great, as are all the lip butters, its somewhere between a really smoothing (not goopy) gloss and a lipstick. Decently pigmented, and buildable. The one downside is that the wear time is kind of short. Would repurchase.

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Nail Color - Bite the Bullet
gorbe 1/3/2012 3:03:00 AM
Great polish! The color is a muted medium lavender tone. The finish is glossy, and the consistency is nice. It actually looked decent with one coat on, though with two looked better. I have no problems with the brush as others did, it is small but works for me as I have small nails. I was able to apply the polish very neatly without getting it outside my nails and having to clean it up. Which is rare, I am not great at applying nail polish. The color is pretty while being neutral enough, not a bright, flashy color, but definitely nice, and work appropriate for those who have conservative jobs. Also very cheap, dries fast, and wears well. Would repurchase.

Masks -Freeman - Feeling Beautiful - Facial CLAY MASK Avocado & Oatmeal
gorbe 1/2/2012 6:23:00 PM
Great cheap clay mask. The product had a moderately strong smell, which strangely I neither found avacado-y or oatmealy, but also neither pleasant not unpleasant. Applies easily, dries quickly, and unlike some clay masks, not too difficult to wash off. I feel it leaves my skin looking brighter and cleaner and feeling moisturized, not dry at all. I don't think this is going to do anything miraculous for my skin, long-term, but it's good for a quick skin refresher. Would definitely repurchase.

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
gorbe 12/28/2011 12:53:00 AM
Wow, I really bought the hype and jumped the gun on this and bought two bottles before ever using it once. Bad idea- it doesn't work for me. It applies easily enough- a few times I messed up a nail by applying this topcoat over it- but I am willing to attribute that to my user error (I am not a great manicurist). The real problem is that it did not make my manicures last any longer. Actually seemed to shorten the life, and made my nail polish come off in large chunks (like the entire nail's polish came off in one piece, which I noticed later- which of course instantly makes your manicure look like crap). It also made my polish wear down at the tips. I tried this across several different brands of polish- so I can't blame the polish I used under it. Would not recommend, I've used better (and cheaper) top coats. Don't get the hype.

Lips -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
gorbe 12/28/2011 12:47:00 AM
Ultimately this shade is a fail, I think. And I agree with the hype that lip butters are great, I definitely recommend them. But not this one. And I really gave this shade a chance- wore it multiple times before deciding that I don't like it. The problem is the glitter- this shade has what I would describe as medium to large chunks of glitter all throughout it. (I think the size alone officially classifies it as glitter and not "shimmer"). The color itself, glitter aside, is thankfully rather natural and thus, as a whole it doesn't look too over the top. It somehow manages to look NOT childish, which is nice. It's flattering enough. The real problem is that the glitter migrates. It traveled to other parts of my face. Within an hour. None of the lip butters are particularly long lasting, but this seems to be the shortest-lived. Wouldn't recommend this shade unless you want to have chunks of gold glitter AROUND your lips.

Bronzers -Milani - Baked Bronzer in Soleil
gorbe 12/28/2011 12:41:00 AM
Love it! I reach for this bronzer frequently. The amount of shimmer is perfect- not over the top chunks, just fine glitter which shows up as a warm glow on my NC30 skin. The color is not orange or a dirty looking brown (I tend to find many bronzers to be either one or the other)-- but a genuine bronzey color. I like to layer this over blush sometimes, especially when I wear a pink toned blush (Which isn't often- I tend to do corals/peaches), to warm it up a little. I am definitely impressed with Milani's baked product line, both the blushes and bronzers. They are the only drugstore bronzers/blushes I have ever seen which are really any good. Also this product is cheap considering the massive amount you get for the price. The container is kind of giant but that doesn't bother me.

Lotions/ Creams -St. Ives - Oatmeal and Shea butter
gorbe 12/28/2011 12:31:00 AM
This smells amazing. I have this scent in the body wash, body scrub, and lotion. It's probably my favorite and cheapest shower/body product. The scent doesn't linger long, though, which is actually good, as I prefer a very subtle scent, and I imagine (though do not know for sure) that those who wear perfume wouldn't have an issue using this and then applying perfume. I find it has a slightly vanilla-y smell to it. Smells very fresh and warm and clean. I don't have particularly dry or itchy or sensitive skin (I'd say my epidermis is pretty standard), so I can't attest to its reaction on that skin type. But on my skin it absorbs quickly and feels good to apply. I'd say it has a medium consistency, not too watery, but not very thick like a body butter. Doesn't feel greasy, leaves skin feeling soft. Very cheap. Would definitely repurchase.

Mascara -Unlisted Brand - Gafixx- No.F101 Flared Silhouette
gorbe 12/17/2011 2:29:00 AM
This is by a Japenese brand called Gafixx, or Sana Gaffix (I'm not sure which is the official name). I found this at a Japanese market and bought it on a whim, even though it was 20 bucks which is far more than I want to spend/have spent on mascara, ever. I admit a large part of the appeal, to me, was the packaging. It's just a black tube with lime green writing on it, but I find it aesthetically appealing. Thankfully, the product did not disappoint. I don't know exactly what this product claims to do, besides "flared silhouette"- but I will say that is does an excellent job of thickening, lengthening, and holding a curl. I don't think the mascara in itself adds curl, but it holds it when I curl with my eyelash curler first. The mascara has a somewhat wetter consistency, which I prefer in a mascara. Lasted a few months, but it has dried out now, which is a little faster than most mascaras dry out on me. That is a little disappointing, but ultimately, I would repurchase. Look out for it!
