Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Angel Limited Edition Italian Bergamot Spring 2013
goopycakes 6/12/2013 11:38:00 AM
I picked up the fragrance mist at the semi-annual sale yesterday not the perfume. I got it for 50% off. For the staying power of a mist this last quite a long time. I love using body mists right after I get out of the shower and loved how fresh and citrusy this one was. This isn't your typical vanilla sickeningly sweet VS fragrance. It is definitely a citrus fresh scent. Very refreshing for the summer time. It's worth a whiff if you stop by the sale! The packaging of the fragrance mist had a very gaudy plastic lime green top, but I can just take that off! The other Italian limited editions they had were Bombshell Italian Iris and Very Sexy Italian Mandarin I wasn't a fan of either of those.
PS the dry down didn't smell like a bug zapper in my opinion!

Fragrances -Gucci - Premiere EDP for Women
goopycakes 6/5/2013 6:59:00 PM
If I could sum up this perfume in a few words it would have to be, "it's really nice BUT,". Fortunately I think that this stuff smells so nice it has a woody musky feel to it, BUT there is absolutely no staying power. If I'm going to shell out 60 almost to 90 bucks on a fragrance it better have some sort of staying power. Everything works with this scent besides the staying power. It is disappointing because I would love to buy this if it had staying power!

Fragrances -Viktor & Rolf - Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb
goopycakes 6/5/2013 6:50:00 PM
Maybe it is just me, but it's amazing how much my fragrance taste and preferences have evolved and changed in just two years. I received Flowerbomb as a Christmas gift in 2010 and was so excited because it was the one gift i was dying to get. I loved everything about it: The name (because it had flower in it, but didn't smell like your typical floral), The bottle, and most importantly the scent itself. This is a sweet perfume with a little bit of floriental involved. I must have worn this perfume almost everyday from Christmas 2010 to November 2011. As I became more of a fragrance addict I researched and purchased more and more scents and slowly moved on from my Flowerbomb obsession. Then one day I decided to spray Flowerbomb on my wrist and was thrown off by my reaction. I wasn't in complete disgust with the scent, but it definitely smelled too sweet for my nose!
Over the course of two years my preferences for fragrances have definitely changed. My favorite perfume at the moment is Armani's Acqua di Gioa at the moment and Stella McCartney's is my current want. By the way Stella's perfume used to repulse me back in my days where I was obsessed with wearing Flowerbomb. Overall my fragrance taste has definitely changed from less sweet to more fresh and floral fragrances.
By the way I do not think Flowerbomb is an overall bad perfume, but just not right for me anymore. It's very sweet, but if you are looking to try it give it a whiff!

Cleansers -Trader Joe's - Nourish All in One Facial Cleanser
goopycakes 5/6/2013 2:09:00 PM
As the most helpful comment states this really is a little known gem! What a great, no thrills, gentle cleanser! It really helps take off my makeup and doesn't dry out my skin. The ingredients are not harsh either. The price isn't bad for the amount you get. Trader Joe's toiletries are really little known gems!

Polishes -Zoya - Sarah
goopycakes 5/6/2013 1:59:00 PM
Ok, I admit it I mainly bought this nail polish because it was my own name! Luckily the bonus is that the color and formula is really nice! It's a nice metallic red that has some pink tones to it. It goes on really well and in two coats it is completely opaque.
The color reminds me a lot of China Glaze's Ruby Pumps. The only con would have to be that it is hard to take off since it has shimmer. Overall it is definitely worth a try if you're into reds!

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
goopycakes 12/22/2012 4:47:00 PM
This is definitely an HG Drugstore foundation! First off I love how light and airy this is while applying and on my skin. It's not heavy and not a feeling of pounds of makeup on. I apply this with the real techniques face brush. I got this in buff because I thought the ivory would be a little too pink. Buff is the perfect color in the fall/winter months, but when I have a little more sun in the spring/summer it's a little to light. I love the coverage so much it really covers my acne scars and current blemishes! It lasts quite long on my oily skin which is a major plus. The only complaint would be the packaging since the jar is very cumbersome and if it tips over the product goes to the top. Overall this is a great foundation to try if you are looking for one!

Sunscreen -L'Oreal - Sublime Sun Advanced Sunscreen Liquid Silk Sunshield For Face SPF 50
goopycakes 6/18/2012 1:09:00 PM
I was looking for a nice face sunscreen that I could use this summer that did not get heavy on my face. I saw commercials for L'Oreal's new Sublime Sun products and of course I ended up here to see if the products are actually good. This is the only one reviewed on MUA and had a good rating. I had never tried a liquid SS before so I was interested. I bought this on sale at target for about 7 bucks.
I've worn it for a week and it's a nice product. It absorbs super quickly and the fragrance of SS is not overbearing. It seems to have ingredients that actually protect against the sun. The only thing is this can give you a shine after a fear hours if you have oily skin and I do, but the shine isn't really that bad. This is my first liquid sunscreen and I'm very impressed and most likely will repurchased! Love this product.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Not Your Mother's - Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo
goopycakes 3/5/2012 1:50:00 PM
I really like this dry shampoo it's miles better than that Tresemme stuff and it's comparable to Batise. I think you get more money for your can than Batise so that's a plus. I have only seen this stuff at my Walmart. It has a strong smell at first but doesn't linger in your hair and I can notice a difference after spraying and combing through my hair. Definitely would buy again!

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Makeup Dissolving Foaming Cleanser
goopycakes 2/16/2012 5:45:00 PM
I really don't understand why Clean & Clear discontinued this. It's an amazing makeup remover that I used even after I wash my face. It didn't strip my skin, but it did the job. Shame on Clean & Clear!

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - New Flat Top Brush
goopycakes 1/14/2012 5:57:00 PM
Maybe I got a faulty brush, but mine was terrible. It started shedding brush hair in less than a month, and in two months the brush part came unglued to the holder part. What a terrible brush. Also buffing mineral foundation with this really was not easy either.

Styling Products -Garnier - Volume Anti-Humidity Hairspray
goopycakes 8/19/2011 6:25:00 PM
I used this to a sporting event in Philly on one of the hottest and most humid days of the year. I was very impressed by it. I wasn't looking for "volume" when I bought, but more of just controlling the poofiness and frazzledness to my hair. I think it lived up to its claim of anti-humidity. Throughout the time I was outside my hair didn't ever have the disgusting humid feel to it. My hair texture is medium-fine, it's not curly, but a slight wave. That may help with the manageability in bad climate conditions too. I will continue to use this in those humid months down south. Don't spray too much because it can get a sticky feel.

Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Posh Kabuki Brush
goopycakes 8/19/2011 6:04:00 PM
This kabuki is a hidden treasure in the brush world imo. I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond about a year ago. The brush is still going strong and I have experience little to no fallout of the. The brush is so soft. I like to use it for mineral makeup Only thing is I wish it had white bristles so I could see how dirty it's getting. Other than that no complaints.

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Double Duty Base & Top Coat

I really like this for both top and base coat. It made my polish stay on for a good 4 or 5 days. Not a bad price either.

Polishes -Essie - Knockout Pout
goopycakes 8/19/2011 3:51:00 PM
LOVE this pink. It's the one I have been looking for a color like this forever. It's super bright, almost could be considered a neon pink. It's not too hot, and not too pale. Just a perfect light neon pink.
The finish is kind of matte think of CG Shocking pink. So definitely put on a top coat if you want the gloss.
Application wasn't bad. You will need two coats the first one is kind of streaky.
My favorite pink currently!

Polishes -China Glaze - Refresh-Mint
goopycakes 8/13/2011 10:01:00 PM
OK so maybe I have an addiction to sea foam, teal, green pastel, etc. polishes.
I DON'T CARE! They are my favorite!
Missglamorazzi has talked about this being one of her favorites and I am always in the mood for a new perfect shade of pastel green. It's much lighter than Mint Candy Apple IMO. The application is better too, it can be a little streaky, but two coats will satisfy. Only problem is that it can chip easily (I didn't use a top coat).
I have gotten many compliments on it.
I cannot belive the buy again is only 56%.
The price isn't to bad 6 bucks at Sally's and 6.50 at Ulta (locally). If you're looking for a new pastel green to try out I would recommend.
