Lipstick -Boots - No 7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick

Very impressed! At $9.99, I will rebuy, rebuy, rebuy!!! I was previously in love with Dior's High shine Addict sheer lipstick. That stuff truly is amazing and worth every penny, but there is no way I can continue to buy that at around $28 a tube! For a special event though, its all I want to wear...until now! I got the Boots Sheer temptation in Excite yesterday. I have worn it all day and loved every bit of it. Its goes on the same and wears the same as the Dior. I love the sheer glossiness and even the shimmer is fantastic! Its not long wearing, but when it fades it does so gracefully. Its so sheer and easy to apply that putting it on is a breeze and not a cause for concern or much pomp and circumstance, you just slick it on and go. It looks so good on! This color is a perfect every day color for me. I cannot wait to try the other colors. I have olive skin, brown hair and eyes and most colors are not dark enough for my taste. Excite is a nice peachy, sparkly golden brown. In love with it!!!

Lipstick -Boots - Botanics Lipstick
goodie 10/17/2012 12:42:00 PM
Sensitive lips alert! I bought this just looking for a lower price option for my sensitive lips! I've only had it a few days but so far I love it! The color is rich and it's nice on the lips! I have Chestnut, which is a deep brick red, maybe a hint if blue, but it's a warmer tone on my olive skin. I love Origins lipsticks. The colors, wearability, everything!!! Except they break and I end up having to use a lip rush so it's inconvenient to carry them in my purse. This boots lipstick may end up being a great option. I can't wait to try other colors!! Update- I bought another one! The colors are nice and rich- big problem though- breakage! Both of these broke the second day I had them. Prob won't rebuy now!! I'm pretty tough on lipstick though, so maybe it won't break for you.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational

I luv the color, feel, scent, everything about this product! Though, I am allergic to it! It took me two years to figure this out. My lips itch and burn after wearing this lipstick. Maybe it's the little metallic flecks? If u are at all sensitive, wear this with caution.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer Kit (Reformulated & New packaging 2011)
goodie 8/6/2011 10:33:00 PM
Ladies and Germs, I have a confession- I have massive under eye circles and have been trying to conceal them since I was 19!! In the beginning, L'oreal was my best friend. I grew up a bit and discovered MAC- worked well for years, then I had flings with Benefit and Prescriptives. At around 26 YO I discovered the HG of all concealers: Bobbi Brown!!! This stuff worked then and works now. As I have gotten older, my skin has become sensitive and I have discovered that there are too many chemicals in the products we use, because of this I have tried several "natural" brands, but nothing is like this. To be fair, when I use this concealer, I always use the BB corrector under it. I have tried to stray for financial and chemical reasons, but I always come crawling back with an open wallet! I guess its not as expensive as probably Channel is, but its not Maybelline priced either! :) New packaging: i really feel suckered by the new pkging because I was done a long time ago buying BB powder to set my concealer! What a crock! So, I felt duped to find that you can now only buy the concealer as a set!?! Well, ya'll, it works better with the powder. I said it, yes, it does. I do not like paying this much to correct, cover and set- but sincerely its worth it! HG for sure!!!

Eyeliner -Origins - Automagically eye lining pencil
goodie 8/6/2011 10:12:00 PM
1. Easy to use 2. stays on well 3. Great color-fudge- deep brown/black 4. Its by Origins 5. only con- when I order it from Origins.com, it breaks very easily and I go through it so quickly. Instead, I have to make a special trip to the mall to stock up because theirs seems fresher. Because it costs 14.50 per stick and I am making a special trip to purchase it, I tried to use Bare Minerals eyeliner in espresso. It is .50 cheaper and its very easy to get at my local JCP. Well, wrong. Its just ok. The color is my main complaint. I love the deep brown I get from origins and its perfect for an every day polished look. I am olive skinned with brow hair, brown eyes and black eyeliner during 8-5 m-f just usually feels too harsh to me. Sometimes in the winter when I wear a lot of black, grey and cooler colors then its ok. I normally do not leave the house for work without eyeliner so a good everyday one is a must. I have sensitive skin and that includes my eyes. I am trying very hard to use all natural products due to this. I also believe very strongly that there are too many chemicals in everything we use these days, so going natural wherever it makes sense and is easy for me is something I am striving for daily. Anyway, The Deep Brown color called "espresso" from Bare minerals is too red and it makes me looked washed out. So, since the economic crunch is hitting me pretty hard, I will go ahead and finish it out- probably with lots of brown eye shadow over it!! For my money- the Origins one wins hands down. I got tired of paying for it and recently even bought my "old HG"- Revlon colorstay brown liner. Their color is great, but the formula is leaps and bounds away from origins. Revlon's is hard and more like trying to use a Crayola crayon on your eyelid! This Origins ones just glides on so smoothly. I truly love it and I gladly declare it as my new HG! Did I say too much? LOL!!!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay LipColor

Love this lipstick. I should work for Revlon and sell this stuff. I have it in so many colors and have rebought a few colors 3 times! I am in sales and am constantly touching up my lipstick. This stuff stays on and touches up nicley right out of the tube. Its also great to add to- if you have a lighter shade on and you want to add color from any other lipstick- it goes right on top and stays on. I cannot say enough about it. I rave about it everywhere I go! It also works well with lip liner. I would love for them to come out with a few more shades, but for now, it is my HG of lipstick and it is the bomb! Fave colors: Rich Raisin, Dreamy Dusk, and Ruby Rapture.

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice 'n Easy - Root Touch Up
goodie 1/24/2008 4:36:00 PM
update for fairness--- I no longer use this or color at home. My hair needs professional help, so I stick to my expensive yet worth it salon coloring. If you need a quick touch up for emergencies only then this is fine. -------I have used this product about 5 times. The first 3 I had great results! It did cover the small amount of gray coming up on my 33 year old dark brown curly hair. In fact, instead of my normal 5 weeks between every salon color, I stretched it to 6-7. Though my hairdresser is like, "what are you doing to your hair!" He can totally see the color. I used this stuff again 2 weeks ago and my grays are so NOT covered. Its looks like I didn't even touch it. I did not see the reviews here to leave it on longer than 10, so maybe that would have helped? Anyway, I just bought a nice looking color of L'Oreal's Natural Match. I am hoping to lighten my color just a bit and tackle the grays as well. For you more experienced colorers, Is it too soon for me to use my new color or should I wait? I hate to wait cause you can totoally see my gray- but I don't want to ruin my hair. I saw glowing reviews of Natural Match here and on TV (Ivillage). Tell me your thoughts if you have em-thanks!

Scrubs -Freeman - Vitalizing blueberry and champagne lathering shower scrub
goodie 7/4/2003 4:10:00 PM
I bought this in a pinch cause I am at the beach and forgot some scrub. I spent about 3.46 on this at Target. The smell was faint, which is what I really liked about it. The scrub was enough to get the job done- it did not rub my skin off like some can, but you could feel and see it working. It's a decent scrub for the price-get the body butter lotion in the same scent- a nice vacation scent.

Cleansers -Olay - Daily Facials
goodie 6/19/2003 8:54:00 AM
I glanced here and only saw one bad review. I started using these for convienience. I love them. I have been using for about 2 months(just bought my second box) and my breakouts have really gone down. I workout 5 days a week and I used to not wash off my makeup before- because it would be too much trouble to go through all that at the ofice- so I actually got some ponds little cloth thingees in my stocking at x-mas and they were ok- but I knew the olay ones just looked like they'd be better. I also found that I was breaking out like crazy- a new pimple every week it seemed like (don't think it was pond's fault, just hormones and the sweat and makeup on my face from aerobics!!) So, I tried the OofO and voila! Yes, they are great!! My skin feels so clean and fresh. I only used them right before a workout, but I may switch to them for all the time- I just have so much cleanser to go through before that happens. I use clarifying- go get 'em if you have monthly breakouts or need a quick way to get makeup off! ( I also follow with a light face moisturizer- cause I always wear moisture on my face) :)
