Treatments (Eye) -Avon - Anew Clinical Eye Lift

I've been using this for a few months now just during the day and it's ok. The skin around my eyes gets very dry during the winter and this cream doesn't seem to moisturize enough to keep the concealer and powder under my eyes from settling into the fine lines. I was really hoping this would provide the moisture I needed to keep my eye makeup looking fresh all day, but no such luck. That being said, it's probably ok for warmer months when my skin isn't so dry. I'm going to try and switch to a more hydrating nighttime eye cream to see if that makes any difference.

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Repair Serum with Attar of Rose

I agree with a previous poster. I guess I expected a lot more out of this product due to all the positive reviews on this site. I don't find this to have much moisturizing benefit at all. My brow and eyelid area are still very dry after I wash my face in the morning, as if the oil has not really sunk into the skin and is just sitting on top. As far as any "repair" benefits, I have yet to see those as well and I've been using this product for many months. I see no change in the fine lines starting along the bottom of my eyes and as mentioned before, no moisturizing for my brow area, which is always quite dry during the winter. Back to square one for me! Definitely won't buy this again and will probably only use as a cuticle oil going forward.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser
gonz2lws 4/20/2010 2:07:00 PM
I bought this cleanser since it addressed two things I was concerned about--1. preventing wrinkles; 2. preventing acne. I was using this in the morning only at first and it seemed to work ok (obviously didn't see any noticeable age-prevention) but I still did get some minor breakouts. When I ran out of my gentle cleanser, I started using this morning and night--what a mistake! It's so drying, it's awful! The skin around my eye area is so dry, no amount of moisturizer seems to be helping and my makeup looks scaly & flaky. I had to go buy a hydrating mask to put moisture back into my skin. Maybe going back to only using this once a day will be better, but I think I'd rather go back to my Alpha Hydrox cleanser which seemed to do a better job of preventing breakouts. I don't think I'll be buying this again.

Treatments (Eye) -RoC - Retinol correxion eye cream

I had heard good things about the RoC line and this was my first time using their products. I have to say I'm very disappointed. I saw no reduction in fine lines, puffiness, or dark circles. I don't have a lot of lines, but I was hoping it would help improve the appearance of my eyes as I have recently had a baby and am suffering from sleep deprivation :) Maybe there's nothing out there that can help me right now, but this stuff wasn't even moisturizing. In fact, it dried my eye area out and made it difficult to apply concealer. This stuff was pretty much useless for me and I definitely wouldn't buy it again. For the $20 I spent on this, I could've applied it toward a nice facial and seen better results!

Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Dark Gray 21L
gonz2lws 4/20/2010 12:40:00 PM
I really LOVE MUF eyeliners; they stay on, have a great texture and don't transfer to my upper eyelid. I really love this dark metallic grey color. It's more interesting than black and I love the shimmer. It's not cheap, but the product stays on, the pencils last for a long time, and although it's waterproof it seems to come off fairly easy with a facial cleanser followed by eye makeup remover pad. My other favorite eye pencil is Urban Decay, which is about the same price and comes in some really pretty colors as well.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Stash
gonz2lws 4/20/2010 12:22:00 PM
Urban Decay 24/7 liners are the BEST!! I LOVE this product because it stays on yet will blend easily, doesn't transfer to my oily upper eyelid, and comes in fabulous colors. I really do love the Stash color. It's a nice change from basic black or brown. The metallic is great for everyday--not as dramatic as glitter. Easy to apply and seems to come off pretty easily with a basic facial cleanser.

Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - Lash Boosting Serum
gonz2lws 4/20/2010 12:18:00 PM
It really works! I have previously used Osmotics Cosmeceuticals FNS Nutrilash (which I had seen results with) but had stopped using once I found I was pregnant. Post-natal, I thought I'd try this new L'Oreal product since it was half the price of the Nutrilash product. I love it!! Compared to the Nutrilash applicator (which are individual liquid-filled cotton swabs), I feel the L'Oreal is much better since you can control how much product goes on at a time. I always felt like they put way too much product in the Nutrilash swabs and they're only supposed to be for single use. I rub my eyes quite a bit and tend to get bald spots (especially during allergy season), so I really needed something that would fill in the bald spots faster. This product does what it says. I've been faithfully using it for about two months now and have noticed that my lashes are longer and thicker than before. I'm almost out now and will be buying another tube. I have never used a professional lash growing product (Latisse), but for $15 you really can't beat this!
