Love this lipstick. Thought it might be at risk of being frosty or something when I swatched it on my hand, but none of that shows up on my lips, they just look moist. Straight up, this is a deep, rich plum colour. Good staying power. Looks great applied full force straight from the tube. Looks delicious, applied with a light hand, over top of a gloss. Looks MLBB applied lightly & then blotted down with a tissue. I am a (very) cool toned ppp with dark hair ~ I like a slightly dramatic look & this works well as a day to day lip colour for me.
I'm rating this only a 3 because of the colour. Now, it isn't that I don't like the colour, but because the colour that I have ended up with on my nails does not match what I see in the bottle. In the bottle, this is more of a pinky/mauve. It has dried with a definite leaning toward brown on me & I really dislike it - I wouldn't have bought it had I known it would go this way. When I hold the polish with my painted nails against the bottle, it is definitely *not* a match. So, the quality of the polish is good & it isn't quick to chip, but be warned it is one of those that doesn't dry close (enough) to what it looks like in the bottle.
I am reviewing the 4% gel here. This product works if you apply it twice a day for a couple of months. Depending on what else you do & use, it may take a bit longer or shorter. I had a large brown sunspot type of thing on the side of my neck. I used this product last year & it broke it up...meaning if the thing was the size of a pencil eraser, it was still about that size, but it was no longer solid. I quit using the gel. I've gone back to using the gel again this winter on the spot on my neck & also a couple of sunspots on my cheeks. it is fading them quite well. I am finding the best course of action is to use this gel for a month or 6 weeks...then use muac tca acid on the spots. After they finish peeling from the acid, go back to the gel. It is normal for this gel to make the skin red where you apply it - it is irritating, you are bleaching your skin after all! I'd like to add that I have tried various 2% strength options of hydroquinone & have found they are not powerful enough to do anything.
Eye Shadow -Annabelle - Haute Chocolate Trio Eyeshadow

C'est magnifique! I am not really an eyeshadow lover. I generally prefer a neutral wash & that's it & I especially dislike browns...yet somehow this has become a favourite of mine. I bought it because I LOVE the lightest colour & wanted to use it as a wash. I am cool toned (all the way, can't even pass for close to neutral) & so are these shadows. The lightest shade is so beautiful, it's like the colour used on actresses like Vivien Leigh in GWTW or Elizabeth Taylor in some of the photo shoots she did when younger. Creamy, taupey but cool. The mid colour is dark & is fabulous in the crease...the darkest has a shimmer to it & works well as a liner. The staying power is excellent. It's so great I am thinking about checking out some other annabelle trios. I can say their lip liners are terrific too.

Me: cool toned ppp. I have bought this shadow several times. I use it as a wash paired with winged eyeliner. It offers the slightest pinky/lavender colour on me & has a bit of sheen to it. It goes with everything I wear & I can use it with pretty much any crease colour that suits me (although I often use it on it's own). Will continue to repurchase.
Love it! Really great staying power. This is a polish I can get 10 days out of (except for re-growth, my nails grow quickly) with no-minimal chipping. The colour is just gorgeous. On me it shows up as a deep fuchsia/red. I use 2 coats & it comes up darker & richer than what I'm seeing in the featured picture. I am cool toned ppp & I think this is my favourite red now.
Love the colour. Works perfectly for me as a pale, sheer, pink BUT...this chips like crazy on me. Within 24 hours & have pieces gone missing. Not sure what the issue is, because my best non-chip polish is also from ChG (Seduce Me)
These lip liners are terrific. I've repeatedly bought Cherry & Crimson over the years. I've also used Secret (quite like MAC Plum) & Venus. Can't go wrong for the price. I find the quality very similar to MACs.
Very good product. I've used an entire 1oz bottle & am happy with the results. I was getting good results from another C serum (which I had used for many years) & wanted to find something with a lower price point. My skin has the same healthy glow with this product as with the one I used in the past & is the best of the less costly brands I've tried. I decanted about half, kept the rest in the fridge. No colour or scent change occurred. The portion I'd kept in the fridge did seem to go a little gelatinous, but a vigorous shake turned it back to liquid. I'm going to try the CE Ferulic next.
Cleansers -Arbonne - RE9 Advanced Smoothing Facial Cleanser

This face wash stung my face, & my skin is used to some fairly harsh treatment so I'm not sure what the issue is there. It has a nice orange/citrus scent & is quite good at removing make-up. Because it's not pH balanced (this is what they want you to use the toner for...to restore balance after washing) & seemed harsh on my skin, I would not repurchase.
This did nothing for me. All I require from an eye cream is moisturization & this product barely delivered at best. It does sink in fast, I'll give it that ~ by the time I've put it back in the cabinet, there are no signs I've put any on because it's completely absorbed. I much prefer something more emollient like kiehls' avocado eye cream or clinique's all about eyes. this product has a fairly strong orange scent when first applied, but that fades away quickly as well I would not repurchase.
Treatments -L'Oreal - Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Hair Treatment
goddessintraining 10/31/2010 11:39:00 AM
I've bought this many times (mine has a yellow container with a green lid). I find it's a really great conditioner for my hair (fine, colour treated, dry) & I use it after every shampoo. It gives my hair good slip afterward so I can comb through it without tearing the hair. Leaves a nice shine. I don't care for the tub it comes in because it can be messy (& dangerous if you drop it on your foot!) so I keep a plastic teaspoon in the shower & use that to scoop the conditioner out with. I'll continue to repurchase this.
I really like this foundation. It's light & fairly sheer & looks very natural, which is exactly what I was after. I think you need to be fairly quick about spreading it around so that it doesn't start to set before you're finished. You could layer it for more coverage. I find that I can blot after it's set & get away without powder other than just on my nose. It's being so sheer makes for some forgiveness with the colour match, which I found difficult to make. In the end, I bought this in N1 & also in white so I could mix them together for a perfect match. The bottle is generously sized, so I put some in a smaller bottle & keep the remainder in the fridge until I need to mix a new batch. Would purchase again.
I love this hair colouring product, I've been using it for several years now. It's not sold in Canada so I load up in the USA a couple of times a year. This colour in particular is very dark, nearly black. It's darker than I'd prefer so I mix it with another Colorsilk (medium golden brown) in a 3:4 ratio for the perfect shade for me. I really appreciate the nice shine I get from this product...no dull over dyed hair look!
I've bought this colour a few times. It's a medium, pinky mauve. I'm a (strictly) cool toned ppp with a lot of natural pigment to my lips...I put Amorous on, blot, put some balm over top of it and get a MLBB look. So...some call this dark and mysterious, but for me it's the closest to a "nude" lip I'm ever going to get. Will continue to repurchase as I've tried several other brands & similar colours never to find one as good as this.
