I like the color (high dive) but it just goes on kinda splotchy to me. I had the same problem with the warmth, I'll stick w bobbi brown for bronzers.

My new favorite foundation. Good coverage, keeps the oilies away, lasts all day. As long as it doesn't break me it, I'm sticking with this.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

I absolutely loved this foundation, I get pretty oily in the t-zone area, but with this, my skin was truly matte for hours. The finish looks great, medium coverage. The only reason I didn't give this awesome foundation 5 stars is because I truly believe my skin is breaking out because of it. My skin had been pretty good, a couple of bumps a month maybe, now my skin looks pretty bad. I don't wanna fully give up on it, I'm taking a break to see if this is really whats bothering my skin. If it is, obviously I'll have to get rid of it, but I am truly sad, that this didn't work out because, I loved how matte my skin stayed all day!

Misc Beauty Tools -TEMPTU - Airbrush System
glossy81 11/18/2009 12:25:00 PM
Ok, so when I wanted reviews for this product there were only five on here. I desperately wanted more, but I went ahead and bought it while the 20% thingy was going on this past weekend. I just got it today, so this review could possibly change but I just wanted to put a quick review in case someone is desperately wanting reviews on this product, lol. I like it a lot, let me start with that. I washed my face, moisturized and put on the smashbox primer, my usual pre-makeup routine. It is very easy to put together, takes like 3 steps, 2 minutes max. The foundation I picked was perfect for me, I picked based on the pics on Sephora and temptu's websites. When you turn on the machine, it's not terribly loud but not whisper quiet either. It's about the amount of noise I would expect for a little motorized machine, so noise, no big deal. I turned it on and turned the knob to medium. I applied like the video shows, circular motions. The foundation smells great, it has a light scent that I love, but if you're one of those people that can't stand to smell anything, then pass on this. At first I couldn't really see anything but as I kept applying I could see the foundation. I moved the wand closer for the dark spots I had that needed extra coverage, it goes on a little heavier the closer it is. After I finished, I must say I was impressed. My skin looked very natural, but better than my natural skin, lol. I then put concealer under my eyes, blotted my face and applied some loose powder (MUFE super matte). I love the result, to be honest, I expected to be underwhelmed and wound up very pleasantly surprised. My face didn't look dull and lifeless, flat or too matte. It had a subtle dewiness to it, which is pretty much what real skin looks like. Of course, you would want to put some blush for some dimension, just like if you had used any other makeup. I think personally, that if you love makeup and are good with makeup, and can find a good color match, you'll more than likely love this little toy. It doesn't feel sticky either, I've seen a few people say that in the reviews on Sephora. It is definitely worth a try, and you could always send it back if you don't like it. Surprisingly, I applied it perfectly on my first try, but some may need a little more practice, but it is very easy to use. Ok, so I wanted to update my review with something I forgot to mention. Is it worth it? Is it a must have? I would say, if you're into makeup like me, you'll probably like it, because it's cute and fun and makes you feel like a pro. BUT in my opinion, you can definitely get the same look with traditional makeup (I felt the same way after I was professionally airbrushed for a wedding). So if you plan on buying because you think it will look way better than traditional, you may be dissappointed. The other thing I wanted to mention was that I didn't get as shiny while wearing this (along with the super matte powder) vs. my usual makeup (MUFE HD or F&B with the super mat powder). I was less shiny after several hours than I usually am, so that was a plus. UPDATE: This could very well be my favorite makeup purchase ever. And I've been wearing makeup for a long time. Every time I use it, I get better at it. My makeup has never looked more natural, ever. I also got the highlighter and blush, like those both, but the blush that I got (peach), though very natural, takes a lot of passes to show up on my skintone. But other than that, no prob with the blush. Love the highlighter, I got copper. This whole system rocks in my opinion. Look, you can't please everyone, some people will just not like it, but it is without a doubt worth a try, at the least. OH YEAH: Just wanted to say, I do not use this on the medium setting (I said that in my initial review). I didn't realize the wide range of settings on this but I use it on a pretty low setting, less than medium. When I turned it up higher, it was much stronger than I wanted, I use it on a very low setting, more natural to me.

Liquid -Maybelline - SuperStay Makeup - New Version

I like the coverage, I would say it's medium to full coverage. I like the staying power. Of course, I didn't actually wear it for 24 hours but I definitely think it has nice staying power. My only concern is that the caramel is just a tad too orange for my taste. It's like one of those things that no one else would notice, and it actually matched really good but I just see that slight orange tinge. So that's the only thing that would prevent me from repurchasing. Other than that, I really like it.

I REALLY like this product. The intensity of the black is great and the staying power is great. I've seen reviews saying it will dry out pretty fast, I haven't had it long so I can't say whether that's true or not, but even if I only get a few months out of it I would still buy it again because it is really the only eyeliner that stays put and the intensity lasts throughout the day on my waterline.

Good, BUT not as good as PM skinny serum or the PM knockoff at Sally's. Now, don't get me wrong, this stuff is nice. Gets my hair very straight, (for reference, my hair is kinky curly), so it's good there. But for whatever reason, the next day my roots start to puff up, and since I've never had this problem with Skinny serum, it's gets my vote over this one.

Crème -Dermablend - Dermablend Leg & Body Creme
glossy81 6/17/2009 8:36:00 PM
Well, this could be a great product but the color selection is simply horrible. My skintone is generally very easy to find a match for, but not with Dermablend. Every shade was either too reddish or too ashy. I give it a 3 because it does help hide imperfections, but I didn't find it to cover stretchmarks, but rather helped make them slightly less noticable. The lasting power is definitely good, waterproof, must use soap to remove it. I took it back, the color match just wasn't good enough, but if they make better colors, I would repurchase.

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+
glossy81 4/4/2009 10:22:00 PM
I love this stuff. I can't believe I just got on the bandwagon. I just use a couple of sprays of this after doing my makeup, to help set it but mostly to take away that powdery look. After years of wearing makeup, the one thing I could never accomplish was getting that nice dewy look after putting on tons of powder. Well now, I know exactly how, Fix+. I could just use water possibly but that's no fun, Fix + smells incredible and is worth the money to me. Will definitely repurchase, one of my top 5 makeup purchases.

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment

I know that this is a lot like Vaseline, but used on the face this doesn't break me out like Vaseline does. I reluctantly bought this to use on my face because my skin was just so dry and my nose was flaky. I thought it would make me look greasy but I must say I love this, it took away all the flakes I had and gives my skin a nice dewiness. It hasn't broken me out yet, so that's a plus. I'll keep using this unless I find something better.

Other -Unlisted Brand - Model in a Bottle

Well, let me start with I'm not impressed. The scent is a little strong for one, almost perfumey, but for me that's not a huge deal, but I thought I'd mention it because I know some people are very scent sensitive. I'm really just not blown away, it doesn't do anything that a shot of hairspray to the face won't do, honestly and this costs more. I seem to get shinier with this on than without. Does kind of help take away that powdery look but so will a fine mist of water. I don't know, I'm just not impressed.

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Cream Hair Bleach
glossy81 3/2/2009 4:56:00 PM
I love this stuff. I have very dark eyebrows, which i think tend to look a little harsh. i also have a little bit of hair on my upper lip, but i don't like how it looks waxed, it just looks strange. so the best option for these 2 problem areas is to bleach. this stuff is fast and efficient. it doesn't irritate my skin. will definitely repurchase.
