There is a smell in this, somewhere, that I am really not sure I like. I really have to be in the mood for this. When I fancy it, I love it and can't get enough but sometimes it really makes me feel blarrgh. The bottle doesn't really do anything for me either. It's not particuarly ugly, but it could have been far more eyecatching. I got this bottle for very cheap (a few pounds - was half used, it was a full size tester) but I would never pay full price for it. I can see why some people would like it and have that as their fragrance but, it's just not my cup of tea!

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Curious by Britney Spears

As much as it pains me to say - I really love this. I am not one for celebrity perfumes at all, however I will not be a snob... if something smells nice to me, then it smells nice. The bottle is really pretty and looks interesting on my desk - which is always a plus I think, especially when fragrances aren't colourful like makeup! The scent is quite strong, but I find once it settles in it is a really pleasant smell... feminine but not too girly and not cheap. It's not really that expensive so it great if you are on a bit of a budget, however I do find the scent doesn't last as long as more expensive perfumes, but I guess that is to be expected. I often find it one of the sale fragrances in Boots (where I usually shop for fragrances) so I stock up! Although not my favourite scent ever, it is definitely one I always like to have.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 5 of 5

I really don't know why I didn' try this sooner! I always just used eye pencils as a base, and yeah they worked okay but compared to UDPP they were rubbish (or maybe UDPP is magic!) Not only does my shadow last all day but it makes pigments really stadn out and look as they should (the colour in the pot!), plus it makes my eyelid really smooth so I use it even if I am just put a tiny but of shadow on. It is a lovely piece of packaging, but totally not practical! I still have plenty left that I can get, but when I *think* it's run out I will do that tip of cutting it in half and scooping it into a pot! I could never live without it now!

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal

Ok so I tried this out cos I had a £2 off voucher and I am mightly impressed. I love it. My HG (was/is) No.7's 360 mascara but that made my lashes look full but not very long, but this product makes me look like I have camel eyelashes! It isn't at all clumpy and I have comments on how good my eyelashes look when wearing it, which is always a plus. Also, for the price it is totally worth it. I like the brush and I quite like the packaging. The bright yellow looks good in my makeup bag :) I would totally buy again. I love how it made my lashes look!

Eyeliner -Boots - No7 Amazing eyes pencil
rated 2 of 5

I bought these after buying a few of clinique's 'Quickliner for Eyes' as the No7 ones are very similar with the smudger one end and the pencil the other. As much as I love No7's products, I was really disappointed. I have 'Chrome' and 'Leaf' both of which hardly show up. From reading these reviews I see I am not alone in the disappointment and perhaps black would have been better. Once the liner is finally one so it can actually be seen, it lasts well and the shades are nice, but for some reason they just don't go on very well. Personally I much prefer the smudger end in these compared to Clinique's, the No7's smudger is much softer and I find it easy to us end effective, that's if you can actually see what you are trying to smudge!

Eye Shadow -Boots - 17 Eyeshadow (singles)

I have had loads of these over the years and nothing can beat them. I currently have an awesome pink called 'shocking pink' and it is my favouritest shadow at the moment! The colour lasts ages, it blends nicely, is a great price and you get lots in the tin and really is just fab. The range of colours offered is vast and they are often bringing out new colours and LE colours! If i ever want a new shade of eyeshadow, these 'Solos' are my first stop.

Eyeliner -Bourjois - Liner Clubbing
rated 3 of 5

I have this liner in 'Violet Laser' as I fancied a change from my normal black liners and I was initially struck by it's intensity. It really is very purple! It takes a little while to dry, but once it has dried it really doesn't budge and is smudge and water proof. When I first started using it I did find it quite difficult as the brush was quite small and fine but the liquid really did glide on without any fuss however, over time I have found it has become quite claggy and the consistancy isn't as good as it was a few months ago (despite it being stored properly). I know, like mascaras, liners eventually end up claggy but this seemed to do it faster than any other liner I have used. Overall though it is a great product and I can't get over the vibrancy of the colours.

Liquid -Clinique - Superbalanced Foundation
rated 4 of 5
glitterbugpanda 9/16/2008 9:30:00 PM

For so long I had used a lower end brand of foundation and although I never really had any problems with them I felt like it was time to splash out on a more pricey one. For various reasons I chose Clinique and went and got matched up and I bought the foundation in Alabaster (27). I love the smooth feel and look that this foundation leaves, it really left my skin looking flawless without looking like I had makeup caked on and without making me feel like my skin is being suffocated! The foundation stays on all day and night and the actual bottle has lasted for ages! Purely because of the price (£18.50, approx. $33) I don't use it everyday, but maybe 4-5 times a week. I find a little product goes a long way and it blends into the skin effortlessly and really leaves you looking fresh faced and flawless!

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Blush - All colors [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
glitterbugpanda 9/16/2008 9:16:00 PM

This was a spur of the moment buy for me, I needed some blush as I had forgotten mine and I was on the way to a party so I had to grab some quick, but I am glad I grabbed this! I have it in 'Dolly Pink' (01) and it is just that, a proper dolly pink. The kind of shade that if you like it, you love it and if not you hate it. It is lovely and fluffy and glides on really easily. It's not a subtle blush, unless you use it extremely sparingly I suppose. The pot is a bit fiddly and I do find it hard to get the product on to my finger to apply, but nothing too hard to use! The mousse blends into your skin leaving it feeling and looking really soft however I find it doesn't last as well as a powder blush would but I haven't found a powder blush with such a lush colour!

Lipstick -Boots - No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick
rated 4 of 5
glitterbugpanda 9/16/2008 9:08:00 PM

I currently own this in 'Dare Devil' & 'Silk' and love them both, although 'Dare Devil' gets used more often, it's a beautiful, perfect red! I found the lipstick to be quite moisturising, as it should be, but I do find I need to reapply it quite often, but that is a draw back of having such a moisturising product I guess! The consistancy is lovely and glides on no trouble and it is not too gloss, not too matt. Compared to other No7 lipsticks I have used I would say it is on par with the others, they all have their different advantages and disadvantages. At £9.50 it is quite pricey, but if there is a colour you particuarly like, then it is totally worth it :)

Eye Shadow -Boots - 17 Eye Dazzle Loose Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
glitterbugpanda 9/16/2008 8:57:00 PM

I had been looking for a shimmery gold coloured eye shadow for some time, something more subtle than my usual first stop, Barry M. I am a big fan of 17 so when I saw they had brought out their own 'Eye Dazzle' and that there was a 'Good As Gold' in the range, I had to give it a go. It certainly didn't disappoint. The colour goes of effortlessly and the shimmer is just beautiful, quite subtle compared to products with lots of glitter in. The colour isn't overly intense, but that wasn't what I was looking for anyway. The only gripe with the product is the silly sprinkle top it comes with, I don't see the use for that at all just makes application messy. The product lasted for ages once on and it didn't fade. Although it looks like a small pot (well I guess it is really) it lasts a long time as you don't need much product to get the shimmering colour also, at £3.99 it is a bargain! I can't wait to buy the other 5 shades!!!
