Shampoo -TRESemme - Vitamin E Moisture Rich Shampoo
glamourmama 11/8/2004 8:39:00 AM
VERY gentle on my wavy, damaged hair. My favorite drugstore shampoo to date. Leaves my hair nice and soft (when combined with the vit E conditioner). And it doesnt leave buildup on my hair or dry it out like other shampoos. Cheap for a huge amount, will definately repurchase.
I love these colors on my brown eyes (NC 30/35 skintone). I had to play around with shading to get it to look good, but now I love it. I apply the toupe color from lashlines to just under brow bone, and blend the olive color in the outer corners, V, and along upper lash line. I find that this combination works better for me than using the olive all in the crease. A great fall daytime look.
I hate writing a poor review for NARS, but this eyeshadow was so dissapointing. No color shows up on my lids, and the glitter just falls down onto my cheeks. Too bad, since I usually love NARS e/s, blush, multiples, etc.
Scrubs -Sephora - indulgences - coffee and cream morning body scrub
glamourmama 10/24/2004 10:23:00 AM
WOW. I love this scrub. It smells so yummy just like coffee & cream w/ no bitter notes. I really do like the packaging, no dipping my fingers into a tub...yay!! I think it exfoliates very well and leaves my skin soft & moisturized..WITHOUT being so greasy and oily! I really love it and will continue to purchase.
Blush -L'Oreal - Cheek to Cheek Sculpting Blush Duet in Blissful Bronzes
glamourmama 10/15/2004 12:33:00 PM
Wow a surprisingly great d/s product!! This Bronze Duet is SO easy to apply, just sweep your blush brush over the pot and you get a highlighter on top with a deeper bronze on bottom. When applied to your cheeks in one sweeping motion, you come out with quick, sculpted, amazing cheekbones. A fab find!
Love these multiples! Maldives is a shimmery champagne color, less peachy than South Beach, but just as gorgeous. Gives sparkle without being too shimmery. Brightens up my NC30/35 skintone. And another thing, these NARS multiples will last forever! You get tons of product for the price.
Liquid -Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Makeup

Am really liking this foundation for my combo/oily acne prone skin. I have the color 04 Sand, and it is a VERY good match for my NC30/35 skintone. I like the slight yellow undertone which neutralizes some ruddiness I have on my cheeks. Gives me a nice matte finish and doesnt feel like it's clogging my pores at all. Will continue to purchase!
Definately a necessity when you live in hot humid weather! My first primer, and elliminates my need for powder! I just apply this before my NARS oil-free foundation and it keeps my skin looking smooth, matte, and fresh. Would definatley repurchase when it runs out (even though it's a little pricey!)
I really love this shadow, a smoky greyish lavendar when applied, looks great with my brown eyes and NC30 skintone, i love how it gives more depth than just plain grey or plain purple (which I'm getting bored of). Saw it in the Lucky Sept 04 issue where it compared it to a shade in the MAC Tempt me quad and it looked great on the model, and its just what I expected!
I have this in Mint. Was expecting more of a balm, but this is more glossy/waxy slippery. Doesnt last very long, and was expecting more moisture (compared to the avon stick balms that are great!)
I first tried the Hollywood Pink scent a year ago when it first came out, I didnt like it very much and quickly swapped it away (I had the perfume and whipped body cream). But recently I had the urge to try it again and decided on the shower syrup (since I have way too many lotions). I sniffed it right out of the bottle and wasnt too impressed, but when I suds up in the shower, I was floored! The scent changed somehow and I smelled the sophisticated chocolate scent that others have mentioned. I really like it now and would probably repurchase. It didnt give me as much lather as other body washes, but the scent stayed on my skin for hours...yum!!
I guess I was expecting more scent from this, I have the Iced Tea w/Lemon, and since I've tried the coffee bar glosses that smell strong and yummy I was expecting the same. This has little to no yummy tea scent, but the color is nice. One side is a shimmery bronze, and the other side....well I think it pointless, it isnt lipgloss consistency and is just like a glitter gel. Would not repurchase, though it has cute packaging.
Crème -mark - Speedway Do Everything Foundation Stick

My first ever stick foundation, I am a LLL/MMM and I when I had a tan I wore shade 7, using shade 6 to conceal under my eyes. WOW, I didnt think I would like this so much! First off it's not as tiny as I expected from previous reviews. It is very creamy and blends well. It also covers imperfections perfectly! I have combo/oily skin and have to use a moisturizer on my cheeks before applying, but this foundation actually keeps the rest of me matte unlike alot of 'mattifying' foundations claim. Plus the tube is cute :)
Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
glamourmama 9/20/2004 11:26:00 AM
Wow, I LOVE this moisturizer! I have combo/oily skin that can be acne prone, and this is perfect! It gives me light moisturization without making me greasy and shiny. Definately repurchase
I think I've always had a tube of this ever since it came out. The Dr Pepper scent is so delicious, and it moisturizes your lips well. The only thing I dont like (and am probably the only one) is the fact that it's tinted; I have very pigmented lips and this reddish tint clashes with my natural lip color. Other than that its great!
