Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Petticoat [DISCONTINUED]
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 3:18:00 PM
Petticoat is an opalescent pink with raspberry and gold veining. Gives a pretty pink flush to the skin with a bit of gold shimmer. Can be used lightly or heavily to produce different results. This also looks great over other blushes. Also, if brushed very lightly over the entire face, it gives a nice luminous glow. My favorite brushes for Skinfinishes are 182, 187, and the contour brush. This looks great on most skintones.

Eye Shadow -MAC - DAZZLERAY Pigment
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 2:53:00 PM
Dazzleray Pigment is a light golden peach shade. I found it a bit difficult to show up, even with a base. It tended to just be a lot of fallout. It's a pretty color, but a pain to work with. The texture is similar to Rose Pigment. Kinda chunky, and doesn't stick well. It's a great neutral, but such a pain to work with that I wouldn't buy it again.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Aquavert (Veluxe Pearl)
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 2:35:00 PM
This shadow is from the Lure collection; and is sort of a minty, light, and fresh seafoam green color. GORGEOUS! Looks great with the other Lure shadows. This is a Veluxe Pearl; very smooth texture. Applies great. Definitely would repurchase this shadow again.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Mancatcher (Frost) - Lure Collection
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 2:32:00 PM
This is one of my absolute FAVORITE purples. It's a nice medium lilac shade that works well with other purples (Beautiful Iris, Satellite Dreams etc), and also works well with the other shadows from Lure. This is a Veluxe Pearl texture that goes on the skin very evenly and smoothly. Definitely would repurchase this shadow again, if it wasn't LE. This shade complements my blue green eyes nicely, and definitely brings out the green in them a lot.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Sea Myth from Lure Collection
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 2:27:00 PM
Sea Myth isn't extremely unique. This shadow has been compared to Pink Opal Pigment, Almond Icing from the Sweetie Cake Quad, Vex, and Seedy Pearl. This color is off white that flashes pink. I think this is a bit different from all the above shadows. It applies fairly bold on me, and is more pink than anything. Very pretty shadow to highlight with, and use with the other Lure shadows. This is a Frost texture, and applies smoothly to the skin. Overall, I would repurchase this again because it's versatile, and still different from the other colors it has been compared to.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Waternymph
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 2:22:00 PM
Waternymph is a beautiful, rich teal color with emerald pearl to it; and is a FROST texture. This shadow applies very smoothly with intense color. Looks great combined with the other Lure shadows, and with other greens, blues, golds etc. Comes in a metallic aqua pot. Definitely a shadow I would repurchase if it wasn't LE.

Blush -MAC - Dollymix
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 12:44:00 AM
Reference: NW15 in MAC bases with brown hair and blue green eyes. Dollymix looks BRIGHT pink in the pot, and probably scary to a lot of people who are afraid of super bright blush, and looking silly; however, Dollymix can be a very wearable shade even for the more timid. With a light hand this blush shows up as just a soft pink flush, but when layered it can get to the brightness that the pot shows. I tend to use a light hand with this blush and then put a very light layer of Petticoat MSF buffed over top for some added glow. This is a sheertone shimmer, but when applied I don't really notice any "shimmer." It gives off more of just a subtle glow all by itself.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish - Porcelain Pink
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 12:35:00 AM
Reference: NW15 in MAC bases with brown hair and blue green eyes. This is a very, very, VERY soft, pinkish coral tone with gold veining. Most people complain that this doesn't show up on them, but on myself I can get it to show up fairly well, but it takes some work. I wouldn't say this is a shade that would work for everyone, but for me it's great when I want to look instantly awake. When I wear this, I look insta-bright/awake; it just gives some nice subtle warmness to my face, so I don't look completely dead and dull. I think it works best on fairer tones, but I've seen my best girl who is NW35-40 rock this as well. If you're looking for something that's subtle and natural, gives enough color to brighten up the face, and make you look more awake then Porcelain Pink MSF might be a great product to invest in! This is a staple in my collection. I find it similar to Benefit Dandelion though, just sheerer. It's nice to layer over Dandelion though for some extra color.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Glamoursun Lipglass
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 12:23:00 AM
This has pretty much become a staple gloss for me, and I really don't have many of those. Just to give reference, I am NW15 in MAC bases with brown hair and blue green eyes. Glamoursun shows up on my lips as a peachy/pink shimmer with some pink pearl mixed in. It's very pretty, and shows up very neutral on my lips, but still sort of noticeable. It's great alone, but I especially like wearing it over After-Tan TLC for a little more moisture and color! I tend to think of this as a summery shade.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lipglass - Sex Ray - Lure Collection
glamour_vixen 9/30/2006 12:17:00 AM
Reference: I'm an NW15 in MAC bases with brown hair and blue green eyes. The ENTIRE collection for Lure was one of my absolute favorites that MAC has released. I love Sex Ray Lipglass for so many reason. The name is so cute, but besides that I think this is an awesome color. It's a magenta color that shows up fairly sheer on me, but can be built up in color. Lipglasses are a bit thick and sticky, but that's not a problem for me. However, I find if you wear a balm underneath them it makes them a little easier to wear for those who don't favor the thicker glosses. The only problem I have with this at all is that sometimes I notice the glitter chunks in it feel a little to gritty. Definitely not an everyday gloss for me, but something that I would probably repurchase if it wasn't LE.

Eyeliner -MAC - Fascinating
glamour_vixen 9/29/2006 11:55:00 PM
This is one of those products that I think anyone can use. It's a definite staple in my collection, and is a product that I wear on most days. It's great to line the lower waterline with. It makes my eyes seem wider, and more awake looking; I also notice that it makes my eyes in general pop, and gives a nice contrast to whatever shadows I'm wearing. It can even be used as a base for shadows. This is definitely a product I will always have in my collection! This is a matte white liner, and very creamy. It's definitely a bright, TRUE white. So if you've been looking for a great true white, non shimmery liner then this is a product for you!!

Eyeliner -MAC - Buried Treasure Powerpoint
glamour_vixen 9/29/2006 11:49:00 PM
Reference: NW15 in MAC bases with brown hair and blue green eyes. Buried Treasure is one of my favorite liners. I use it when I want something more subtle than a straight black. This shows up on me as a rich brown/black with subtle golden shimmer. The shimmer is mostly unnoticable when applied unless you look really close. I find this product applies extremely well, and has great staying power. If you're looking for something less harsh than a straight black, but darker than your average brown then you should check out Buried Treasure!!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Bare Canvas Paint
glamour_vixen 9/29/2006 11:42:00 PM
This may be a bit blashphemous to the lovers of UDPP, but I love my Bare Canvas 100x better. UDPP didn't do anything for me, and on top of that my eyes were irritated by it, and I don't have sensitive eyes either, really. If you are having trouble with the Paint coming out, all you need to do is unroll the bottom part; doing that should control it from squirting out. A little goes a long way for me. I barely use anything at all, and it covers my entire lid. This smoothes out very nicely on me when applied with my finger, or even patted on with a brush like the #242. I'm NW15 in MAC bases and this blends into my skintone very nicely. It's a very light beige with slight pink irridescence. My lids are super oily, even in the winter when the rest of my skin becomes drier, and Bare Canvas does a wonderful job of keeping my lids matte and my makeup from creasing. If I want to make the colors of my shadows pop a little more then I may add a colored base (Shadestick or Fluidline) on top of the BC. This is a staple in my collection, so I would most definitely buy again. However, this product doesn't work for everyone, so if you can get to a counter/store then it's best to try it out for yourself and get a sample.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Beautiful Iris (Veluxe Pearl)
glamour_vixen 9/29/2006 11:29:00 PM
I am a very pale girl (NW15 in MAC bases) with brown hair and blue green eyes for reference... This shadow is a very soft, irridescent lavender shade. Great color; I find this to be a very "srping-y" color. I use it mostly in the inner corner to highlight, or on the lower lashline, but it is also great for a lid color. Looks great with many colors, but I especially like to pair it with Satellite Dreams & Mancatcher. This color is very sheer; I tend to use it on my days when I want to have a more subtle less bold look. Beautiful Iris is a Veluxe Pearl texture, and it applies very smoothly. Very nice shadow, would definitely buy this again because it's a staple for me. This also really made the green in my eyes pop, so if you're looking for a shadow to make the green in your eyes a little more strong then check this shadow out!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Aquadisiac
glamour_vixen 9/29/2006 11:10:00 PM
This is one of my favorite shadows! Aquadisiac is a very pretty aqua color with some slight silver sparkle to it. It's a lustre texture, but unlike other lustres I have tried Aquadisiac applies very nicely. The color goes on a rich aqua, and you can only see a slight bit of the sparkle. I tend to wear this a lot with Black Tied, or other green/blue/yellows etc. This will be a shadow that will be re-bought if it ever runs out!!
