I have fine hair and it's always cut in a textured way for volume. I use a lot of Aveda products, but none of the hair stuff...Until now. Last summer I heard about Big Sexy Hairs texture powder. I tried it and liked it a lot at first...Then I noticed how greasy it made my hair. I have oily skin anyways and this made it like a oil slick after a few hours. I really liked the way it made my hair super textured and the volume it gave though. I started searching around for something similar and found Tigi's hair candy powder. It is oil free and only a buck more. I have been using that and it worked good. A few days ago I got my hair cut at an Aveda Salon and they styled it using the hair potion. I had no idea Aveda carried this type of product and I really loved how it made my hair. The stylist used it the same way I use mine. She blew out my hair, then lifted up sections and squeezed the powder on the roots/scalp area, then backcombed. I fell in love! My hair had major volume and I could still run my fingers through it..Unlike the other brands powder products I have used. It did still feel a bit tacky and well not freshly washed but that is the key. Freshly washed and healthy hair don't style very well. The thing I also like about this product is that it is about two times the size of the other brands. I shop at Cosmo Prof and Salon Centric for liscensed professionals. The products I got at cost were still $10. So retail they would be about $20. The Aveda one is only $24 and double the size...So, its a good deal too! Sorry this is long winded. I just really like this product and wanted to share the info with you all.

Lotions/ Creams -Korres - Body Butter - Guava
rated 5 of 5

I ordered the gift set on Black Friday from Sephora for $10. It included the guava lip butter and small body butter. I loved both. The body butter makes my hands incredibly soft and soaks in right away. I love thick heavy creams. This actually comes out thinner, but feels just like a thick cream. The way it soaks in keeps my hands from feeling greasy. I would definately buy again, and at full price!

Treatments -Aveda - botanical kinetics exfoliant
rated 5 of 5

I've been getting Aveda facials for awhile now, however, never used the product at home. A few weeks ago I finally switched over to the Bio Kenetics line for Oily Skin. My Esthi added the exfoliant to my regimine. I love it. I have noticed a huge change in my skin already. The exfoliant is great! The texture has changed from dull and lifeless to glowing and soft. I had a few hard to reach areas that were clogged. If I looked close in a mirror I could see some blackheads forming there. The exfoliant has pretty much gotten rid of all that. I probably will use these products for life. They seem a bit expensive at first, but, once you compare to other brands it really is reasonable. For instance, I spent $74 on the large (16.9oz) moisturizer. Ouch...But then I thought about all the 1.5 oz mosturizers I've paid $50 and up for and it made sense.... My regimine is: am: wash with gel cleanser, toning mist, mosturizer pm: wash with gel, exfoliant, mosturize, clay masque spot treat once a week do a full clay masque!!!

Candles -Yankee Candles - Sun and Sand
rated 5 of 5

This is my favorite scent ever. On my wedding day 7 years ago I wore Bobbi Brown "Beach" perfume. I had always wished for a candle in the scent... A few years ago I found this...And I have gone through a ton. I use the tarts, oil, and car frag too. I hope this scent lives forever <3 I typically like Colonial Home candles better. The throw is the same but their jars are sleek and more modern looking. Sun and Sand made me not care about the grandma candle that YC uses.
