Other -Crest - Whitestrips
gizzo_glo 3/11/2005 7:02:00 PM
Today is my very first day of using Crest Whitestrips. I have to say that I already see a difference and it's only my first use! Unlike other users, I fortunately did not experience any gum or teeth pain, nor did I feel any sensitivity either. I'm very excited about this product and I can't wait until I'm done with the 14 days. Here's an advice for those who have a difficult time keeping the strips in place...try drying your teeth before applying the strip. It really helps hold the strip in place. I will be back to update when I'm completely done with the strips.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Shine Free Pressed Powder
gizzo_glo 12/16/2004 8:22:00 PM
I've been using Maybelline Shine Free pressed powder for the past 5 years. Before that, I've used nothing but department store brand powders. A friend of mine kept teasing me that I was waiting my money and told me to try Maybelline. I tried it and I feel in love with it right away. I have oily skin and this thing goes on smoothly and nicely. I don't think it really keeps my skin from being oily throughout the day though. I love the sheerness of the powder, which feels really light on my skin. I just hate the fact that I wasted my money all those years before using this.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous mascara

This is my HG of mascaras. I've been using this for years and it has given me nice thick lashes. I've tried other mascaras, but some of them are so thin and or runny. It's hard to deposit on your lashes, but with Voluminous, it goes on smoothly and doesn't flake.

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color
gizzo_glo 12/16/2004 7:27:00 PM
I just colored my hair with Ganier and I am very happy with the results. I had light brown and brown highlights throughout my hair. My hair was growing out so I had black roots showing. (I have dark Asian hair) I wanted my "natural" hair color back so I colored my hair with Garnier. I used "dark chocolate", which is supposed to be dark brown. I didn't use black because I'm sure that it would come out too black or too dark. Well, I love the results! The color came out nice and rich. It dark rich brown--almost black, but very natural looking. My hair felt so to the touch. I colored it a darker color so the extra pigment made my hair look thicker and healthier. I can't get over how soft my hair feels. I highly recommend Garnier. It's easy to use and does not drip. It doesn't smell bad because they try to cover the smell with avocado oil, but you could still smell it though. My only complaint is when I rinsed out the color, the smell of the hair color was so strong. It took a couple of days to fade.

Cleansers -Eucerin - Pore Purifying Foaming Wash ] [DISCONTINUED]
gizzo_glo 12/10/2004 1:06:00 PM
This cleanser is my HG of all cleansers! I absolutely love this stuff. I have sensitive skin and this cleanser is so gentle. Also, I tend to have really dry skin during the winter months and Eucerin does not dry out my skin at all. I can't stand washing my face and feeling that itchy tight feeling. With Eucerin, my skin does not feel that way at all. It is definitely the best facial cleanser I've ever used...and trust me, I've used a lot. I've tried department store brands and all kinds of drug store brands, but Eucerin is by far the best.

Misc Beauty Tools -Shiseido - Pureness Oil Blotting Papers
gizzo_glo 12/10/2004 1:01:00 PM
I love this stuff! I've been using this for the past 6 years and it never fails. The product did change a bit though. When it first came out it was a bit thicker and rectangler. Now, it's a bit thinner, but I think it's bigger. It comes in big square sheets now. Anyway, nothing else works better for me. The ultra fine powder soaks up oil on my face w/out depositing powder. I've tried many different brands but they're NOT THE SAME! My only complaint is the price. It is sooooo expensive...so what I do is I cut mine in half. When I first buy it, I totally remove all the sheets and cut them in half. Then I place it back in the dispenser. That saves me money. Some of you might think that it would be too small, but it's perfect for me because I don't like a totally matte face. A little subtle shine makes your face look more luminess and healthier. I hate a dry face.

Hair -L'Oreal - Preference True Brunettes
gizzo_glo 12/10/2004 12:43:00 PM
I have naturally dark brown/black Asian hair. L'Oreal Preference les True Brunettes lightened my hair three shades lighter without any brassiness or reddness. I absolutely love it!!! I used UL51, which is supposed to be ultra light natural brown. I will most def repurchase! Oh, and a note to some of the ladies out there. L'oreal les True Brunettes is ONLY made for DARK hair! Don't use it if your hair is light...or it will mess up your color. I repeat, it should only be used on DARK HAIR.
