I actually like this. I found it at Kmart on clearance for $2 something. I thought $7+ for the original price is too much. The brush is a gimmick, but the formula isn't bad. It gives me long, defined lashes without clumping. I wouldn't pay full price, but for a buck or two, this is great!
Concealers -Unlisted Brand - geoGirl ES (EraseScreen) Cream Concealer

I have this in Light Nature. Oddly enough, it is lighter than the GG "Light" tinted moisturizer that I also use. This concealer is a good match for my skin with or without paring it with the TM. I'm around NC 10-15 and this is not too yellow or too pink. Another weird thing about this is that it smells just like MAC foundation, which to me, smells like paint lol. This is a good concealer for general redness, acne scars, and under eye darkness -- what I use it for primarily. It is not the best product for covering fresh pimples or any raised imperfection, although it does an adequate job if you carefully apply it and set it with powder. Another thing is that you get 4.1 ml for around $5. I used to use Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which is the same price, and has 6.8 ml. You are getting less in order to keep the price point competitive with the other brands. I would think it costs more to make a natural product. However, comparing the ingredients of GG with Maybelline does not show that many differences. I do like the GG concealer, but I am unsure if I would buy it again because I can get more for my money with another brand. However, if you are considering the concealer, you should try it; it's pretty good!
Lipstick -Unlisted Brand - Geogirl GR8 (Great) Lip Shine
girrl65 3/15/2012 11:38:00 AM
I have this in Strawberry Fields, which is a light frosty coral-pink. I would not really call this a lipstick as it is more of a lip balm with shimmer. I like this product for days when I don't wear lipstick, but I want something on my lips other than Carmex. This particular color is pale and frosty. Layering it too much can actually reduce the color of my lips due to the frosty nature of the product. If I buy this again, I will try the darkest color, Pomegranate. The reason I have Strawberry Fields is because drugstore.com throws in a free GG item with a purchase of two or more GG products. I had no choice on the color, unfortunately. However, the packaging is so cute! I love the sturdy cardboard tube and the little bees decorating the top. It can be a little hard to open at first. I had to pull and tug, and I was afraid I would break it! It has loosened up now that I've used it a few times. Overall, this is a pretty good item. I would be interested to try other colors.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Geogirl BG (BeGood) moisturizer

I really love this moisturizer despite my original skepticism. It is lightweight, non-greasy, and quick drying. Even though it contains nut and plant oils, it did not break me out in the slightest (I've been using it for several weeks just to make sure before doing a review). It actually helped my face recover after a few breakouts from using random moisturizer samples. You get 1.7 ounces for $6, which isn't too bad. Also buying it from Walmart is not your only option. I buy mine from drugstore.com, actually. *not affil* Great alternative from the Evil Empire! I know there are some people who refuse to shop at Walmart, so that's why I wanted to point out an alternative source. I was skeptical at first because this does contain sunflower and soybean oils and emulsifying wax, for example. I thought this would be a pimple disaster! After being pretty much free of acne for the last year, I am very careful what I put on my face. This has rosemary and mint extracts like the cleanser (which I love! See my review), so it naturally has some acne fighting properties. Long story short, I love this moisturizer and plan to continue buying it. You don't have to be in elementary school to love this brand!
Mascara -Unlisted Brand - geogirl FYEO (ForYourEyesOnly) Feather Lash mascara Brown
girrl65 12/23/2011 11:39:00 AM
After seeing good reviews, I decided to give this a try. It is actually very nice! The formula is, as the previous review said, dry so it's easier to build long lashes than if it was wet. This product lengthened my lashes nicely and gave them a fair amount of volume. For a "kids line," I was impressed. The only thing I don't like is that the bristles on the wand are a little short. I think they could be a little longer and more comb-like. Then this mascara would be perfect! I bought this in blue, which is a fun electric blue. If I buy again, which I probably will, I would try the grey.
Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - GeoGirl T2G (Time2Go) Cleanser

As an adult fan of GeoGirl, I must say that this I'd yet another great product. I am kind of a skin care junkie and so I just had to try this cleanser. It contains real rosemary and mint oils and is formulated without SLS or parabens. I used it with my Clarisonic (which I use 2x a day) and my skin felt particularly smooth and fresh without feeling tight. The natural oils in the cleanser made it an invigorating experience without harsh or tingly (however, my skin is used to powerful glycolic and salicylic acids so maybe I'm just tough). I really think this $6 product is as good or better than some $30 cleansers I've purchased. I am sure this will last a while because I only need a drop for my Clarisonic, but when I run out I will repurchase. I am also interested in trying the matching toner and moisturizer. I think 8-12 is a little young for some of the GG items, but the skin care products are a must! If I had a child that age, I would immediately buy them the cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. They are more natural than most drugstore products and set a good skin care foundation for the rest of the child's life. I applaud GeoGirl for thinking to include skin care!
Blush -Unlisted Brand - GeoGirl KOC (KissOnCheek) Cream Blush
girrl65 12/18/2011 5:22:00 PM
I have this in Eco Pink. I am quite pale but this did not do much at all. I know this line is meant for kids, thus they don't need bright, garish blush that can be overdone, but this stuff is a joke! It didnt't show up at all on my face! This product is rather misleading, too. Looking at stock photos one might think that it has twist up tube like a lip balm, but it actually has the minuscule amount of product in a little plastic thing that you hold to apply. It comes out of the beautiful paper packaging. As it is not twist up, I have no idea how you would get down in the plastic part to get the rest out unless you depotted it. I don't know. This entire product is a giant fail. The only nice part is the pretty but useless paper sleeve. It is the only GG items that I've purchased that I just hate. I tossed it and I don't recommend wasting you money.
Lip Gloss -Unlisted Brand - GeoGirl VBS (VeryBigSmile) Lipgloss
girrl65 12/18/2011 5:11:00 PM
This is a very nice gloss. I have it in Raspberry, the purple color. It doesn't matter what color you choose because it goes on completely clear and the scent is almost nonexistent. I assumed this so I bought the color that I thought was prettiest in the tube. About the actual product, it is not sticky at all. It actually feels more like a lip balm. My only complaint with this product is that at 0.14 fl oz, you don't get that much product compared to standard MAC glosses (0.17 fl oz) or NARS glosses (0.28 fl oz). This item is $5, so it is a little pricey for the amount of product you get considering it is sold at Walmart not a makeup counter where we expect things to cost a little more. This is still a good item, so if you want a nice gloss with cute packaging, this is it.
Hmmm. This pen has many pros and cons. On one hand, I like that the polish is fast drying, and the pen is handy for touch ups or quick manis when you don't have time for a regular one. Also, the cap is nicely designed so the brush doesn't dry out. However, my main issue with this is that the polish is not the greatest. It is kind of streaky and the polish wears very poorly. I've had to touch it up nightly. I bought my pen at Big Lots for about $1.50, but I hear these are quite expensive for what they are regularly. Don't pay full price for these pens! Their only real advantage is that they are perfect when you need polish on your nails fast....say for a night. This is not very good quality polish.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
girrl65 9/25/2011 1:38:00 AM
Meh. This is far too shimmery and metallic to use as a shadow base. Maybe on it's own as a paint pot sort of thing, but not to layer shadows over it. It just doesn't look good at all! The priming part of this did a great job, but I could seriously do without the color and shimmer. I'll be sticking to the original and Eden primers.
Meh. On me, this is very sharp and vetiver-ish. Like Mitsouko EDT only bad. This doesn't exactly stink, but it's not something that I would really wear again. It also bothered my nose...I couldn't wait for it to fade so I would stop sniffling. I know others like this, but I'm just not a fan.
This is one of the new Mattenes released in the Posh Paradise collection. MAC had been advertising Potent Fig to be a blue grape, with emphasis on blue. The promo photos showed the lipstick looking like the skin of a concord grape; a blue grape. While this is cool toned, it is certainly not blue in any way. It's a cool dark purple. Not black purple, just purple. I have other Mattenes and I think this is the same as the others as far as wear and longevity. I did notice how Temptalia mentioned that these new Mattenes have more "slip." This sounds about right, from my experience with this new one and my older ones. Meh. Why can't they leave things alone? This "slip" makes it so that you do not have a perfectly opaque lip all on one swipe necessarily. You may have to go back over it again. Whatever. This is still a nice lipstick, although I probably would have passed if I knew it really wasn't blue toned (I ordered online before everyone had swatches up).
This is such a beautiful fragrance! It's not so vanilla that it's "foody" or cookie smelling, something I hate. I have used the original Shalimar, but I do not own it so I can't really make a good comparison between the two. This is warm, spicy, decadent. Don't think innocent. Think an oriental spice bazaar or an old noir movie. If you want something classic yet modern, try this. Is amazing!
My impression of this comes from the fact that I've been using the Airspun powder for months prior to purchasing this fragrance. In a nutshell, they smell identical, especially upon dry down. I do now know for sure, but I would believe other reviewer who said that Coty scents the powder with this fragrance. The actual fragrance is kind of orangey, kind of powdery....I can't describe it, especially since my my first impression was from the use of he cosmetic product. If you like the old Coty fragrances, you probably will like this. I got mine from Amazon for about $8. If you are curious, try it! It's a great little find.
I'm not that good at describing fragrances, but I know that this smells very masculine. At first, I thought it was too masculine. It almost reminded me of that cheap cologne someone's unsophisticated uncle would buy from the drugstore. BUT NO! It's not like that. You have to wear it a while and smell it a while before you can appreciate it. This is very unisex, but on a woman it is very interestingly exotic. It's different from the sea of florals and sugary scents. I wore it all day and then reapplied before an event at night, and it seemed to have changed at night. I would say this is more of a night fragrance for sure because it transforms into a decadent, hedonistic scent after hours. Well, it's always like that, but when the sun goes down it enhances that effect. If you like Guerlain and classic fragrances, just try this. It's unique and interesting. Just try it!
