Lipstick -Burberry - Lip Cover in Bright Plum

I love this color! It is great for all seasons because the lipstick can be layered depending on the depth of color that you want. One or two layers yields a very bright and delicate fuchsia and three or four layers gives a deep, plummy-berry color. Many people are turned off by the smell of Burberry cosmetics, but I find that the scent of the lipsticks, like the other Burberry products I have, dissipates quickly and is not very strong to begin with. The color, even with a lot of layering, does not last quite as long as I would expect from a lipstick and fades after about two hours. However, the stain that is left behind is lovely and the formula does not dry out my lips. The one possible downside of this product is the packaging, specifically the lid. The lid is magnetized and the lipstick only closes when the lid has be placed and turned a certain way. Correctly placing/ twisting the lid back on so that is stays closed is not at all difficult but there have been a few times that I have been in a hurry and did not turn the lid properly so the magnet did not work and the cap fell off. This resulted in a few lipstick smudges in my purse that were hard to remove.

This is a must-have red lipstick! The color is fantastic, super glossy, and lasts for several hours, even through eating and drinking. The only downside is that because it is so glossy, it is rather easily transferred and smudged for a lipstick, maybe even more so than the Chanel Dragon (a gloss) that I routinely wear.

Foundations -Face Stockholm - Matte Foundation

I happened to be in NYC and found the Face Stockholm boutique inside the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. The boutique is small but well-stocked and the people working there were very nice and helpful when I went in looking for a foundation. I explained that my skin does get oily, especially in the summer, but it is sensitive and gets dry easily. I was hesitant when they suggested the matte foundation, I have had bad experiences like breakouts and excessive dryness with mattifying products before, but it applied very nicely in the store so I decided to give it a try once they matched me. This foundation does not budge and really does keep my face matte all day without being drying, even without primer or powder, and plays nicely with concealer, Clinique Airbrush and KA SSE. It also doesn't oxidize at all and is removed very easily with my Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm despite how long-wearing and budge-proof it is, and causes no breakouts or dryness for my very sensitive skin.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24 hr # 30 Seashore Frosts

I am a fan of cream eyeshadow even though they do tend to dry out rather quickly no matter how I store them. Seashore frosts is an interesting and unique color that works well on its own, over a darker shadow, and on top of neutral shadows. The color does change depending on the angle and light source and the duochrome shimmer can look bronze, gold, or green/blue at any given moment. I like that it can be layered to look dramatic without becoming heavy or cakey on my eyelids but also looks great when applied in a single layer for a more subtle effect. Another plus is that this shadow lasts all day without creasing or smudging on my super oily lids without primer and in hot and humid weather.

Eyes -Just for Redheads - GingerRed Brow Stick

As a redhead, finding products that actually look natural with my skin tone and hair is sometimes challenging. This eyebrow pencil is a great match for my hair color and I think that it would work well with a variety of shades of red hair because it can be layered to get different depths of color. In my experience, the more you add to your brows, the more red they appear. I like this pencil so much because it lasts all day on my eyebrows, is easy to apply, applies neatly, sharpens well, and is a perfect color match.

Eye Primer -Clinique - Touch Base For Eyes

I really like this product for its brightening qualities and staying power. It works well as a base, but I cannot use it without primer. It adds a nice, creamy shimmer that can be worn on its own but it also sits nicely underneath an eyeshadow and does not overpower it.

The color is great but that is it. The product itself is very dry and dried out in the pot very quickly. It is hard to apply and goes on streaky and flakes and smudges almost immediately.

Concealers -Kevyn Aucoin - The Sensual Skin Enhancer

I have been using this product about three times a week for 4 months. I am happy to say that my very breakout and clog prone skin does not react poorly to this product and I have not broken out. You only need a dot or two of this product to cover your entire face. It sheers out nicely to be used as a foundation but also works well as a concealer. Just remember that this product is very full coverage and would probably not be ideal for someone who is looking for a more sheer foundation.

The only thing that I like about this line of lipsticks are the color choices. These lipsticks smell like plastic and fake vanilla and do not last for more than one hour on my lips. After an hour, my lips are dried out, flaking, and have weird patches of stained flakes on my lips.

I love everything about this lipstick! The color is a great, electric coral pink that is bright and fun but not over the top. It is extremely pigmented, totally matte, and creamy. I love that it does not have any glitter or sparkles at all because that is a hard to find quality in a lipstick. Even though it was very pigmented, it was not at all drying and my lips even feel a little softer after I remove it at night. The color lasts for about 6 hours, through eating and drinking, and it fades very nicely into a subtle pink stain.

Cleansers -DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil

I wanted to like this product and tried for several weeks to use it for two purposes. One, I hoped that it would help with clogged pores. Two, I hope that it would be a good makeup remover. Unfortunately, this product did not do either of these things. I wear sunscreen and foundation almost every day and need something that will totally remove both. This product removed most of my makeup and sunscreen but even after cleansing with a foaming cleanser, I could run a damp cotton ball over my face and it would not be clean and I could see foundation on it. It clogged me near my hairline, although not badly. In my opinion, if you are looking to remove makeup, Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm is a much better product and did not break me out or clog me at all.

This product is nice for my oily, clog-prone skin. If you have skin that is dry or very sensitive, like my skin, I suggest only using this product once a day or even only every other day as it can be somewhat drying. I think that this cleanser leaves my skin feeling very tingly and clean and helps to reduce some of the shine that I develop during the day.

Foundations -Burberry - Sheer Foundation

I have very sensitive, oily, clog-prone skin. I was apprehensive to try this product because of the spf and the fragrance because I have had trouble with foundations and tinted moisturizers that have those ingredients in the past. However, I am thrilled that I decided to give this foundation a try. It is sheer but provides enough coverage for freckles and red spots without looking unnatural or like a mask. The fragrance dissipates very quickly. I also really appreciate that it has great staying power and that I can use it without primer and it still looks great at the ends of the day. It does not oxidize or become patchy.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Caviar Stick Eye Color - Orchid

I am happy to see that more fun colors have been added to this collection. Like the other caviar sticks, orchid applies like a dream. It is creamy, very pigmented, and despite the sparkles, does not feel gritty. I absolutely love the color! It is a bright, sparkly purple that is very flattering.
