This product is OK. Not HG - but it's a good dupe of the Revlon Colorstay eyeliner. Both products are very similar - even the packaging looks almost the same. Though there is some good staying power for this eyeliner, it still isn't as good as the Revlon. It almost always smears at the outer corners of my eye everytime I use this - and I always wear eye primer. At times, it would smear on my lids. If I forget to wear eyeprimer - then this product would always and without a doubt smear and spread all over and would make my eyes a mess. Though the Revlon eyeliner isn't perfect, it would never smear the way this Ulta liner would. I would never pay full price for this.. but it is definitely worth the $1 when it goes on sale. So I would definitely buy this product again if it was $1, if not - then I would just buy the Revlon. Again, just remember to use your eye primer (I prefer the Too Faced Eye Insurance over the Urban Decay one) everytime you use this liner.
Mascara -New York Color - Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara
gigglymonkiez 10/1/2012 7:26:00 PM
This product did absolutely nothing for me. Maybe made my lashes blacker...but every mascara does that. This mascara reminds me of the Maybelline Great Lash mascara from decades ago (which I hate mainly because it did nothing for me despite the hype). I would not buy this product ever again, even though this has got to be the cheapest mascara in the store. Yet, I can think of many other ways to spend the $2. I think the Rimmel Extra Super Lash is around the same price but SOOO much better.
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion water resistant
gigglymonkiez 4/3/2012 11:59:00 PM
When I first tried this mascara, I didn't really like it, but since I already opened the tube, and couldn't return it, I decided to just keep using it. After 3 tries of using it, I actually started to like it a lot. Strangely, it worked very well after the first 3 uses. Like other people said, it lengthened more than it volumized - but this is not to say it didn't volumize at all - it still did. For me, since I prefer lengthening over volumizing, this is actually the perfect "fusion" for me. So I absolutely loved this product for a month, and then after 3-4 weeks of using it, it started to dry out a little and clump. It was so weird because it wasn't even gradual. Just for the entire month it was perfect, and then the next day, it looked bad. Though I did love this mascara for the first month, I think it's ridiculous for it to last only a month and then just suddenly clump up and look bad and cakey. So because of this, I wouldn't repurchase - which is a shame since my lashes really looked great for the first month. Packaging is big/fat - could be kind of chubby cute, but I don't like how it takes up so much space.
I really love this mascara. It is so inexpensive, and for me, it works may better than the more expensive drug store products. I have short stubby asian lashes that point straight down. This mascara almost reminds me of Maybelline's Soft and Full, which I also like, but with more Length. My lashes feel very natural, and you can also use this mascara to build a more dramatic look. The packaging is plain, but the product works great. Usually, I don't buy the same mascara again because I'd like to try something different, but this one I'd definitely be buying again. Recently, they came out with a new packaging for this, I haven't tried it yet, but I hope it's the same formula. Since it's so inexpensive, you really don't lose much for just "trying out" the product.
Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
gigglymonkiez 8/3/2011 3:15:00 AM
OH THIS PRODUCE IS SO WORTH IT. I LOVE SHADOW INSURANCE SO MUCH. My eyeshadow stays on ALL DAY with this. I will probably keep on buying this till I die. I only recently in the past few months been using this, but in the past, I've just put eyeshadow on my bare lids, or "primed" it with just regular eye cream, or even sometimes my tinted moisturizer foundation (or whatever I'm using on my face that day). Because I have small asian eyes with a small double eyelid crease, when I put on eyeliner, sometimes it will smudge into my eye crease... it looks SO unflattering! But with shadow insurance, my eyeliner stays on my lash line and never finds its way to my eye crease. The same goes with my eyeshadow - before certain eyeshadow that I use will collect in my eyecrease area - but NEVER when I use Shadow Insurance. The tube should last you a while - I don't really put much on. I will never stop buying this. I also prefer this Too Faced tube over Urban Decay's wand because I don't like the idea of pushing air into the Urban Decay's container and having the primer oxidize faster than it needs to. I also feel Too Faced's tube is more sanitary since your skin oils never goes back into the tube like it does for Urban Decay. So point being - BUY TOO FACED - you won't regret it!
This mascara is actually very good... I like it a lot, I would buy more except I don't splurge on mascara (got this as a GWP), since you're supposed to throw them away after several months already. I usually just use drug-store mascara, but if you're willing to pay a little more for a decent mascara...this one definitely is it. I have very short straight stubby asian eyelashes and this mascara really gives it length and volume yet isn't heavy at all. This mascara has never clumped on me, it separates smoothly, and helps your lashes curl a bit. This is just an overall good mascara - and it's real easy to get during Clinique's GWP.
I LOVE these pins! It's just kinda expensive, about 6-7 bucks for only 2 pins, as opposed to only 2-3 bucks for 300 bobby pins. But still, these 2 pins work wonders. You pretty much only need these two to hold up your hair. I wish they had invented this way earlier, it's my first time seeing anything like this (first found it summer 2011). If I lose a pin, I'm definitely going to buy a new one. It is somewhat worth the price, since I can't find anything else that can replace this.
Worst mascara ever made. I don't even get why this mascara is still on the market? How can people still be buying this? They must be selling enough to make a profit since I still see this mascara EVERYWHERE, in every drugstore/target/walmart. I can't even fathom how some people are still willing to get this.
Lipstick -Lancome - Color design lipstick Natural Beauty
gigglymonkiez 6/21/2011 3:14:00 AM
Both of Lancome's "Trendy Mauve" and "Natural Beauty" are my favorite lipstick EVER. This particular lipstick is so natural, and such a beautiful nude. I think everyone should buy this product to at least try it. It's super cheap if you buy a GWP version off some 3rd party source. I bought it from the store mainly because I wanted a "fresh" one. But either way, I LOVE this color, and I'm trying to see if another brand makes a good equivalent of this color, but so far I haven't found any.
I wanted to like this one so badly. When I first used this, I liked the curve wand because it could get to the small lashes at the ends of my eye. It worked OK (but not super great) the first time I used it, but the second time and every time thereafter, I found out this mascara clumps like no other. It is SO unflattering. I put on one coat, and my eyelashes are automatically clumped together. I don't know why this particular version of the Stiletto does this, but the regular one doesn't clump as bad as this one...
Eye Shadow -Almay - Almay Intense i Color for Hazel
gigglymonkiez 6/12/2011 4:23:00 AM
I like the 3 colors Almay chose to go together - a very sparkly white, pink, and brown color. All were very shiny, even though it doesn't look like it in the compact. None of these eyeshadows irritated my eyes. I use this eyeshadow trio for my "everyday look". It's very natural. The only SLIGHT complaint I have on this is that I don't feel the brown color is very pigmented. The white and pink is very rich in color, but I find myself packing the brown color onto the outer V edge of my eye because I don't feel like it's showing enough. But then again, because the brown color isn't that dark/pigmented, it results in a very "natural look" which is also very pretty.
Scrubs -Biore - Pore Perfect Pore Unclogging Scrub
gigglymonkiez 6/12/2011 4:10:00 AM
I LOVE this scrub. It's very gentle, and even though the micro exfoliating beads are small, you still feel like it's working. After using this, my face has a very "clean feeling". I like trying different products (I'm usually not the type to buy the same product again), so I'm going to try St Ives next, but I will definitely come back to this one!
Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Active Light Makeup SPF 25 ] [DISCONTINUED]
gigglymonkiez 11/3/2010 1:17:00 AM
I also got this at Big Lots. I bought this in Sand Beige (I'm NC25 in MAC Select Sheer Powder), and this foundation color is the only color that PERFECTLY matches my skin. MAC's NC25 color match couldn't beat this. When I first put it on, it looked completely natural and clean. However, after I came back from work that day, I noticed my face started getting bumps (very mild acne) and some white heads. I was SO disappointed because I LOVED the color match. I'll probably use it for a few more days and see if the breakouts are caused from this or my PMS.
After hearing everyone rave about Cetaphil, I just had to try it, so I went to Costco and bought the humongous package of 2 fat 20 oz bottles of the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I didn't want to buy so much of this product at once, since I never tried it and wasn't sure if it was even going to work for me. I have acne-prone dry and greasy combo skin that is pretty sensitive since my skin is always RED. At first-for the first 2 days, I HATED this product. and I felt so stupid that I just bought 2 fat bottles of this stupid product that doesn't even lather. I felt that this wasn't even cleaning my skin at all, and I was so frustratingly trying to rub this gel that can't even clean onto my face so hard to make it lather or sink in or DO SOMETHING. I wanted to just toss it so badly, but I was too cheap since I already paid for it so I decided to just stick with it. About a full week or two after using Cetaphil, I noticed my skin MUCH LESS RED. now, my skin has much less visible acne, redness, looks smoother and healthier, and just looks super radiant and glow-y. And it feels super SOFT! I do agree with other people when they say this cleanser does not remove makeup - but I never expected ANY cleanser to really do that. So on the days you wear makeup, use a makeup remover first before the Cetaphil cleanser. So overall, this product REALLY worked for me! I really do feel that everyone should at least just TRY this product if they haven't yet, since it seems to work for all skin types. It's been over a month, and my skin feels so touchably smooth soft and supple, like a baby's butt. and NO REDNESS. Remember that it doesn't lather or give you a tingly clean feeling, so don't get upset. If you have oily skin or want to "feel" clean, try a scrub before using the Cetaphil cleanser. This product moisturizes well, I have NEVER felt greasy after using it. So I'm giving the product itself the highest rating, although I wish the packaging was cuter or prettier. But at least it's inexpensive.
