Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Alien
giggle7658 4/3/2011 4:20:00 AM
This is my favorite fragrance right now, usually fragrances give me a headache but I love this fragrance. If you like vanillas I would definatly go test it at the mall spritz some on and wear it around to see if you want to purchase. I just got a very small purse size bottle because I just refilled my Angel star. I love both fragrances but Alien is my favorite right now!!

Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Babecake eyeliner [DISCONTINUED]
giggle7658 3/30/2011 4:03:00 PM
UGGHHHH! They discontinued this, probably because it lasts FOREVER i have had mine a couple years and have not needed to replace it until I went to the store and it was DISCONTINUED I hate when this happens. Oh well I found Laura Mercier eye cavier liner to be comparable. And I never used the brown side anyway. Hopefully they come back with just black liner and brown liner were you can purchase seperatly. ******4/3/2011, I have tried Laura Mercier liner and it just does not compare to Benefit. Benefit Cake liner gave me a really nice black line. Mercier's its not as pigmented I am now going to look at Illamasqua Cake Liner at Sephora too see if its comparabe and I will update with results!

I am going to be very detailed about this product to help you guys out . First off I have very dark hair naturally almost black with cool undertones. I put some carmel highlights in and have been trying to cover them ever since as my hair grows out to my natural dark brunette color. Well, in the last year I have resorted to permanent hair dye by Loreal to cover the carmel highlights. I use the dark brown creme excellence. Which is excellent hair dye by the way and I love the tube of conditioner that comes with I use it on a weekly basis. Well, I am getting tired of dying my hair. I notice that as I continue to dye it breaks more and more of my hair off. I wish it wasent so because I just love this hair dye. My hair is just to fine to take the abuse. It also leaves alot of red in my hair because to get the dark brunette in hair dyes you have to cross the red barrier. So I have left a lot of red in my hair which I dont want, I wanted to go back to my dark brunette hair, one color, no highlights. I decided to look up henna and found the Lush Caca Noir. After spending lots of time reading reviews and tips I decided to go to the Lush store. Luckily one just opened close to were I live. At the store I was suprised that it came in a brick and it was green. There are six squares in a brick. I bought it for $20.95 and took it home. I broke off three peices for my very long, fine hair. You have to break this down before adding the warm/hot water. I decided to grate the squares with the very small end of a metal cheese grator into a plastic bowl. (On a side note I would reccomend buying a plastic bowl, a brush at sallys for highlighting hair. The one that has the brush on one end and the pick on the other, you will also need a disposable spoon to whip the ingrediants together you will be throwing all this away when you are done.) The cheese grator grated this very very fine which was perfect. I let the graded Caca Noir sit for the night because it was getting late and I wanted to work on this in the morning. I found the grating a little tedious but if you are patient it is not the bad. After grating I decided to read some more reviews to make sure and confirm I was doing this right. I was a little concerned as I ran across a review that said not to use ANYTHING metal as it will turn your hair green when the CACA reacts with the metal. Just using the metal cheese grator I was a wee bit concerned but I decided to move forward. The next morning I covered my bathroom in some newspaper as I heard this process was messy took off my jewlery and then divided my hair into small sections with disposable plastic clips. I then decided to use very hot water from my sink faucet as I have read the indigo dye in the Caca Noir DOES NOT like boiling water! If you heat this product too much it will destroy the Indigo which turns your hair the black/dark brunette color. I thought about using the kettle and boil water and then let it sit for 10 minutes but decided to forgo this idea because my kitchen sink water comes out very hot. I started mixing a small amount of hot water (not boiling but very hot) into the bowl of CACA. And started stirring with my plastic spoon. Then I added some more water and again and again in small amounts until I just had the right consistancy. It has to be like cake batter. Then I added about 1/2 teaspoon of salt directly to the CACA. The salt helps the Indigo develop and hold its color on your hair. I then took it to the bathroom were all my newspaper was laid out and began the process. It is a messy process but I did not find it irritating at all. I used the Sally's highlighting brush alot and this saved me in this process. Make sure to coat from the root all the way down to the tip of your hair. I was using disposable plastic gloves but found the kept slipping and I just couldent the coverage that I needed so I took them off and just used my hands. I also would reccomend that you have washclothes that you dont mind getting stained all over to wipe up messes. The dye will dye anything that it sits on for over 5 minutes so get it off anything that it spills on. I decided to work on my hair first since there was alot of the CACA going everywere and clean spills when I was done. After I was done with coating each section with CACA and then putting it together in a plastic clip with the last section eventually I had covered my whole head. I just had enough CACA there was none left when I was done. Closer to the end of the last section my CACA started to harden so I had to go back to the kitchen to stir in and mix a little more hot water. After it was done I looked like something that crawled out of the swamp.. I did not do a strand test just because everyones reviews were so good, but my hair was hardening green so I was a little worried my hair was turning green. On a side note the smell did not bother me at all as I have read it does others. After about 2.5 hours I got antsy and decided to wash off in the shower. I rinsed my hair with a shampoo that is not very expensive about 5 times to get all the hardened CACA out. There was green all over the shower but comes out easily with water. I let my hair air dry and it turned almost all the red in my head a very dark brunette and my medium brunette ends very dark as well. My hair now matches a hair peice I ordered that was too dark. Before my husband could tell I had a hair peice in because it was darker than my hair but know he could not tell. Overall I am very happy my hair was not green LOL! a but beautiful dark dark brunette when done. It also takes about three days for the color to fully develop.I will be reusing my three bricks that are left when the color starts to fade. Next time I will leave it on longer maybe over 4 hours:) I also did not wrap my hair in saran wrap. Saran wrap is if you want redder highlights. I was trying to get rid of red so decided last minute not to wra

Love it !!! Just used for the first time on my dry, thin, brittle, hair. I have just dyed my hair twice in the last six months with permanent dye to cover golden highlights. Its put my hair through the ringer. Lots of breakage, and brittles. I used the Protein RX Mask first and then put on two-three drops of the Tech Glaze, starting at the top of my head and worked my way to the bottom. My hair is soft as a babys bum! I love this site! I am so glad I researched and found these products:) EDIT: Ended up returning made my hair to greasy the Protein RX is better by FF. But better than ALL of them is my KPAC deep reconstructer. I use it almost every time I wash my hair now.

Love it !!! I have fine dry brittle damaged hair. I cant even blow dry my hair its so baby fine and damages and breaks. I dyed my hair with permanent dye twice in the last six months to cover golden highlights and my hair has turned dry and brittle and overall the condition was starting to turn bad!! I just used Protein RX mask for the first time about an hour ago and my hair is wonderful!!! I love this product. I paired it with the Technician Color glaze and my hair is so soft no brittles. If you are strapped on cash get the Protien Rx mask first and then splurge latter and get the Tech Color Glaze. You will be glad you got the mask, I am!!!:) PS. The smell of the mask is beautiful. Nice vanilla/flowery scent. Love it

My HG product. I used to use KPAC shampoo until they reformulated their shampoo and I hate it now. I found this product from my hairdresser and decided to try. I am glad I did. It instantly replaced the new version of KPAC shampoo. I have very baby fine, thick, dry hair. I hope they dont discontinue this product!

Hair -L'Oreal - Excellence Creme Haircolor
giggle7658 12/2/2007 4:12:00 AM
OMG!!!!! This stuff is AMAZING!!! Ok first of all I am a freik about my hair. My hair is very fine and damages very easily. My best friend has gone to beauty school and wont even touch my hair. I dont use any heat products whatsover as even a couple blow drys will damage the heck out of it. About a year and a half ago on August 30, 2006 I decided to get some carmal highlights put in (think a toned down Eva Mendes) to my dark virgin (almost black) brunette hair. I really loved the highlights but have realized over time that they are upkeep, cost , and the fact that I am just plain tired of them I decided to go back to my original color. Well deciding to go back has been quit the undertaking. Trying to figure out reviews on the internet, what will damage my hair the least, or to just go back to the salon and fork out $100 +, I have been weighing my options.. First I was set with Garnier Nutriesse and have contemplated it a couple times at the store picking it up and putting it back as it has good reviews on most websites including this one. Then I decided to go to the salon in case I messed up I would be so upset. Well finally today my hair just look tired and beat with ghetto grown out highlights. So shopping for other items at Ulta I found a lady who had nice hair that looked similar to my original color before highlights and asked what she used. She showed me "Loreal Creme Excellence in Dark Choclate Brown" So I hesitantly picked me up a box and drove home. I looked up reviews on makeup alley for this product and it had pretty awesome reviews. Still contemplating wether to do it or not, after a glass of wine I decided to just do it. So I looked up on you tube a video of someone dying there own hair at home so I knew exactly how to do it and started. Well I wish I would have done this sooner because my hair came out amazingly beautiful. It covered the carmal highlights perfectly. I was worried the dye would give me a painted look in the gloss "flat". But it turned the highlights a wonderful darker brunette color. It also deposited some really faint red tones that my original hair color had. Overall a yummy dark chochlate brown that looks like a $110+ dye job. I really couldent understand on all the ratings how it said your hair turned out healthier before because I always thought permanent dye was entirely damaging to hair. But I have to say my hair turned out shinier, healither, smoother, and with amazing color. The ends of my hair today were so fried and dried I was ready to go back to my stylist and have him cut more ends off but this product totally smoothed them over and made them so soft with the wonderful products they give you to protect your hair. The only thing now is I hope the color lasts a while. Since its so close to my natural color (almost identical) I am hoping to be able to grow my original hair out but honestly the dye made my hair look so good I may start dying it. Well if you decide to use the product and you are anal about your hair like me you should be able to get a good idea from my review that you should do it sooner than later you will be glad that you did!!! Ok I dyed my hair again about five months after my last post. I used the Dark brunette. Originally it had turned very dark but after one shampoo faded to almost my exact hair color. (trying to cover gold highlights that are growing out) At first when my hair dried I was in love. Another wonderful color. I do have to say though I wish the shinyness stayed shampoo after shampoo. After about two shampoos I noticed breakage starting to happen. Hopefully it wont get to bad. I think this will be my last permanent dying experiment since my hair is very fine and damages very easily. But the colors really turn out salon quality. Its not worth spending all that money when you can buy this poduct.

WOW AMAZING!! When I was young I always had really thick long eyelashes and as I have gotten older they have started to become more sparse. I have never been able to wear mascara because every brand I tried would make a ton of eyelashes fall out after using it. THen I found maybelline's mascara full and soft this is the only mascara I could use that wouldent cause a ton of eyelashes to fall out. I would have to take a break from it though for about a month at a time to let the some eyelashes regrow in, it is the best mascara but still not perfect for my very sensitive eyelashes. After using revitalash I can now use any type of masacara. It makes my lashes grow long and lovely and thick! And the dont fall out! Its amazing. They are getting so long when I apply mascara they look like fake eyelashes. AMAZING! I am truly sold. I have my teenager eyelashes back.

Crème -Cinema Secrets - Cinema Secrets
giggle7658 5/2/2007 12:56:00 AM
This is really a nice foundation. I decided to buy it because I think Holly from the Girls Next Door face makeup looks so great and I heard that she uses this foundation. I ordered online and got the smallest containers as I was not sure what colors would look the best on me. I got a good idea from other reviewers about what color would look best on me. I am Mac NC30/NC35 and have dark hair and hazel eyes and olive skin so I decided on the 300 series. I also have dry-normal skin. I purchased 302 and 303. 302 is a little bit light so I use it as a concealor. 303 matches my skin perfectly. You can also blend colors together if needed. I use mainly 303. I used a sponge to get the product out and it goes on very smoothly and has superior coverage. It will hide about any acne scar pigmentation/ or problem on your face that you have. I really liked taking my sponge and using my Evian water spray to mist the sponge and then dip it onto the product and apply. When applying it this way it seems to go on a little lighter (not as heavy) and is easier to apply (not that the other way is not good I just prefer this way). But eithier way you apply it really is a superior product to most foundations on the market. The only other one that compares is my Prescriptives Flawless foundation so I go back and forth but even the Prescriptives foundation wont cover acne scars quite like this. I highly reccomend Cinema Secrets foundation it will probably be the best that you ever buy.

Forget this on dry skin. After putting it on it felt like I was putting on some type of extremely drying facial mask that was sucking all moisture out of my skin and my skin could not breath. It was very bad and I threw it away the same day I bought. I am glad it was only a dollar.

Shampoo -Joico - K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair
giggle7658 11/25/2005 9:37:00 PM
This is the only shampoo that I can use. I searched for years for good shampoo. My hair has always been dry and brittle. I also could never grow my hair past my shoulders. I have alot of hair but the texture is very thin. So it is prone to break easily. Once I started I noticed immediate improvements. My hair started growing long and healthy. I have hair down to my mid-back now and it is beautiful. I try once and while to go with a diffrent shampoo but I notice my hair starting to dry out with anything else. I also use the conditioner and once a week the reconstructer. I am caucasion with dark hair and brown eyes. If you have dry and britte hair and want a great shampoo and healthy hair I would try this. EDIT 5/10/08 About a year or so ago Joico reformulated the enitre Kpac line. The conditioner is still the same but the shampoo has really changed. I will not buy it any more! Please bring back the old shampoo! The new one is like anything generic that strips your hair of moisture. The old one was decadent and rich and made your hair luxe soft. I use Loreal Pro Absolut Repair now. It works as well as the old Kpac. I am just thanking god I found a shampoo quickly to replace the Kpac shampoo.

Moisturizers -La Mer - Creme de la mer moisturizer
giggle7658 1/17/2004 3:27:00 AM
Ok so you heard the "HYPE" about La Mer Creme. Well guess what it is all true. I love and adore this creme. I have NEVER had a creme do what this does. It takes away all redness all pimples all blackheads, takes away scarring, etc. My face has never looked better and keeps looking better as I get older. I have normal to very dry skin on somedays so I use the creme. I can see were this might not be ideal for someone who has really oily skin, but there are other lighter weight products to compensate. I tried the serum dident work half as good as the creme so I sold it on Ebay. I will never stop using this product because of the price. It is the best darn creme out there!
