BB Cream -Sana - Pore Putty BB cream SPF 50+

I have a product very similar to this but in a compress. I live in Japan and bought it recently, I've been using it for a few days and no irritation at all! When I first apply it it's a little light for my skin but throughout the day it blends in with my skin color. I used to use Revlon Color Stay, and I think the color payoff is just about similar. Previously I've used Smashbox BB and the formula of this is much less greasy and long-lasting. I don't notice much in terms of making pores invisible but I never really noticed or was bothered by my pores to begin with. For an Italian-skinned girl living in a foreign land, this product is a win!

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase paste

This product came HIGHLY recommended to me so I was disappointed when it was a bust. I applied this to my under eyes just how the little pamphlet told me to but I always find that it creases and is visible a few hours after I apply it. It either disappears completely or becomes a streaky mess! But I feel committed because it's SO expensive... At least it is very gentle to my skin and is a nice creamy-feeling formula. Overall I'm not impressed and wouldn't repurchase ):

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment
rated 4 of 5

I like this trio and I would recommend it. My only caveat is that you do get what you pay for... colors look amazing for the first few hours but noticeably fade by evening, even with primer (I use UDPP). Good for day but I would wear something longer-lasting to go out.

I bought this on sale at a grocery store for $1.97. Well worth it! Not super pigmented, not a bad smell, and looks really nice with tan skin. I would buy this brand again... on sale.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - salon effects

I bought these for a month-long job I work where I'm on call 24/7 and have little to no time to maintain my manicure. I was expecting to hate them, but to my surprise they are EXCELLENT! I've already had mine on for 6 days and NO chipping, aside from what I messed up when I applied them. I chose "antique lace" and any place where my nail shows is concealed by the color and texture of the design. The next one I have and haven't used yet is "Good Morning Glory", which is white & purple so I will need to apply it more carefully. I strongly suggest doing everything, and I mean EVERYTHING the in-box instructions say to do. I was skeptical when it said to use nail polish remover a second time before applying the stickers but I think it really helped. Although the price is a little expensive - $8.50 a box where I live - you can easily get 3 manicures out of one kit. I easily used the very long stickers for 2 fingers at a time. All you need to do is take off the plastic backing and stick it to both nails at once, then cut inbetween. This might not work for anyone with nice, long nails, but if yours are short like mine you can make it work. I'm very glad I tried these and I plan on trying Sephora's nail sticker brand next. My only qualm is that I'm worried they may look a little tacky to some, but I love them so whatever!

I have the medium natural glow and protect SPF 20... it leaves little white flakes on my skin :( nasty!

CUTE! This is a great color, described to me as "coral" but very much on the pink-y side. I like how it looks against my tan skin but it might just be obnoxious if it were winter and I was paler. If I can track this down I'll purchase it for sure!

Polishes -Revlon - Minted #85
rated 3 of 5
ggalie 6/14/2012 6:48:00 PM

I really love this color - really mint at its best. But the formula is pretty awful, it's hard to apply evenly. Luckily it turns out OK after a second coat, but you have to apply it thickly to make it look even, and when you do that the formula bubbles. Not cute. Good color but I'll find a substitute by another brand.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
rated 4 of 5
ggalie 6/14/2012 6:20:00 PM

GREAT Product! I got this as a sample at Sephora, and I liked it so much I went back, bought something else and got the same sample again! I like to use this when I'm going to bars/dancing, and it does the trick, especially when you're out and about and your makeup runs the risk of fading away. When I use up my samples (which I am conserving, since this is a pricey product) I will probably splurge on another tube. This is DEFINITELY worth your Sephora "points" if it's being offered as a sample. Maybe not worth the money if you don't go out or if your makeup stays in place ordinarily. I would also like to add that the container says you need to spray it before and after, but I have done it just after and it seemed to work just fine - maybe you don't need to use double the product for the same result.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lipstick - Warm Me Up
rated 4 of 5
ggalie 6/14/2012 5:30:00 PM

I just got this and I really like it! At first I thought it was mauve-y, but once I blotted and added a little clear chapstick on top (Babylips in Peppermint) it got a lot pink-er and prettier! What the reviews say is true - very "my lips but better". I will either repurchase this or try L'oreal Fairest Nude.

BB Cream -Smashbox - Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35
rated 3 of 5
ggalie 6/6/2012 10:06:00 PM

I want to like this, I really do, but I just don't. I haven't noticed improvement in my skin (one of the "benefits" of a BB cream), and I don't think it provides very much coverage. It's nice when my skin is a little tanner (I bought medium-light) and my complexion has no problems, but when I'm paler and have a couple problem areas it does nothing. I also think it makes me feel oily as the day goes by. It blends in nicely but after a while it practically disappears, NOT what I paid for! Not a bad product but for the price but not great, I won't buy it again.

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Brow Duality - Matte Shell / Lace Shimmer
rated 4 of 5
ggalie 6/6/2012 9:39:00 PM

I just picked this up at Sephora today and I really like it! Sometimes eyeshadow doesn't stay in the corner of my eyes as a highlighter (the sephora lady suggested a buffing brush) but this does the trick. I bought it in shell/lace, and I like the matte end better than the sparkle, which doesn't seem to show up as vibrantly. The caps on the end of both sides of the pencil doesn't seem to stay on too well, so I deducted 1 point.
