OMG, I swear was going to write "POS. Don't bother" As soon as I went to post it I noticed the last review already said that. Boy, that should test the potential buyer something. Trust me. Don't. Doesn't work. Never works. No results. POS.

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste - Mirage (Rose Bronze)
germanxtc 5/21/2006 8:45:00 PM
Last summer I took an extra part-time job at a very large well known department store to save up extra money for a move. Well, I worked in the cosmetics department selling cosmetics. I have NEVER thought blushes could be different. To me a blush was a blush. Out of all the lines I've tried, including the line I was selling at the time, every blush just seemed the same. BUT... OMG... One day I went over to the Chanel counter to check out their line and I discovered this blush. This was the FIRST AND ONLY blush I ever HAD to have. I mean, I knew immediately I wanted this blush. I have never looked better. Every day I would literally go into work early without blush, run over to the Chanel counter and apply this and then I would go sell the line that I was actually supposed to be selling. This blush is really awesome. Well worth every penny. Truely a staple in my cosmetics bag. I have three Chanel blushes and every one of them are rave worthy. I have no idea what makes their blushes different from every blush out there but they certainly are!

Treatments -Olay - Total Effects 7x with VitaNiacin

I have to agree with the other two recent reviews. There really isn't anything at all special with this. It doesn't have a pleasant smell, in fact it does remind me of sunscreen like the last reviewer said. But smell isn't something I'm that concerned with. All I can say is it didn't do anything great. It was just a very average moisturizer, and it wasn't that great at even doing that. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. The problem was it was great either. It was so average that I was upset that I paid almost $20 for it. BTW, I'm 30 with combo skin (oily T-zone)

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment

For Accutane users you cannot live without this product! This was recommended to me by my doctor and by tons of Accutane users on an Accutane message board. If you have extra dry skin/lips then this is the stuff for you. No this is NOT a moisturizer so don't by it for that. It is a treatment. You can't put this stuff on and then put on makeup, nor can you put it on and then leave the house. It's more like Vaseline or something like that. For me (an Accutane user) I use this on my lips all the time. No chapped lips so far. I also use it at night on my extra dry Accutane patches and by morning they are gone and the ointment has absorbed totally into my skin. Must have!!

Mascara -Maybelline - Sky High Curves Extreme Length and Curl WaterProof [DISCONTINUED]

Quite simply I do not like this product. I don't hate it, but I certainly don't like it. It is VERY VERY average. No great volume, no great lengthening, no curling effect, no great anything. Just very average. I can't comment on the price since it came as a free gift with my Maybelline eye makeup remover. I can say I'm darn glad it was a free gift because I would be really upset if I had actually paid for this product.

Toners -Nivea - Alcohol-Free Moisturizing Toner [DISCONTINUED]
germanxtc 1/4/2005 3:39:00 PM
I really love this product!!! I never really was into toners because they dried me out or aggravated my acne. I have persistent acne so I feel I need to really deep clean my face when I take off my makeup, however acne is worsened by drying products and most toners are just that: drying. So when I found this one which was alcohol free I decided to check it out on here. Everyone seemed really satisfied so I bought a bottle and I am super glad I did. My face is almost pimple free and it hasn't been that way since I was 11. No joke. Now, I still use my BP Gel for my acne, but before I still broke out because my face was so dry from other products, including toners. Every since I started using this I am NEVER dried out, my face is squeaky clean after taking off my makeup and I feel that the cleanliness and moisturizing effect of this product has helped clear me up. Unlike others, I don't care about the smell. It's not bad, I just don't find anything great about it. But the product really is working for me and I'm not having to slather on a ton of moisturizer (which didn't help with the acne) to counteract the drying effects of my old toners. I will definitely continue to buy this!!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
germanxtc 12/29/2004 1:30:00 PM
I love this foundation! I have really oily skin so I'm always hunting for a product that stays on. I'm also always hunting for a product that matches my skin. Luckily I found a product that does both in this. I have constant acne and I have to say this has yet to break me out. Any zits that have come up have been the same ones I would normally get. Actually I've been breaking out a lot less which probably is because this makeup is oil free and non-comogenic so it doesn't cause breakouts. So far I am very impressed with this product. It doesn't seem to disappear during the day which was a constant problem with all my other foundations b/c of my oily skin. I don't care for the bottle though. The mouth is way to big. The best way to handle it is to do like the last reviewer: put your sponge over the mouth & tilt, then wipe the excess off onto/into the bottle's mouth. Update: Still loving this product. I hardly ever breakout now which means I'm able to use a lot less of this since I'm no longer trying to "hide" my skin. I saw the Colorstay Natural in the store the other day and all I can say is I really hope they make the bottle for this like the Natural bottle. That one has a pump top unlike this one that has a super big mouth which causes too much to come out. Also, my makeup is still staying in place. No coming off AT ALL during the day. Still the best lower priced foundation I've ever used. Really.

Concealers -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer
germanxtc 12/29/2004 1:17:00 PM
Personally I love this product! I have constant acne. At some times it is worse than others, but it's always constant. I have to say this is the only concealer I've ever used that actually covers and then stays in place. I mean it really stays. No becoming an oily mess or slipping off later in the day when you re-powder. No having to cake it on to get coverage. Once you put it on be ready for it to stay, just like the name says. One thing, it dries fast so once you put it on get ready to do any blending you need to do. In other words, don't dab it on all your places at once. Dab it on one place at a time, blend that one, then proceed to the next. I know it has a lot of the same ingredients as Revlon's Colorstay foundation, so if you use that you can get an idea of the no-budge-fast-drying effect. I hate the price though. It's easy to want to give up and go for something cheaper, but I've used almost everything else over the years and nothing has come close to this for my constant acne.

Primer/ Corrector -Sephora - Skin Smoothing Makeup Base
germanxtc 8/13/2004 2:43:00 PM
First let me say I really can't comment on the price because I bought it off Ebay so I'm not sure what the normal price is. Ok now on to the product. I have super oily skin. Normally I have to keep my compact on my desk so I can check & powder every hour. I got this product due simply to the rave reviews on here. Well I love it. It is a gel type product that just slips right onto the face. It immediately disappers as soon as you apply. For me it tends to matte my oiliness. I've noticed several things. I'm definitely not powdering as much which was a shock because I wasn't expecting that as a result. The big difference is how it seems to make my makeup look a lot smoother along with making it last all day. I notice I now seem to look as good leaving work as I did coming in. It also seems to hide my fine lines. I don't have any wrinkles but I do have some fine lines right around the eye. This really seems to keep them smooth. I think that's because the foundation no longer is sinking into them as the day goes by. Along with having super oily skin I have acne. So far I have yet to break out from this product which is a huge plus. I love all the results. The weird thing is... it's nothing dramatic but you notice it. It's like there's not this huge dramatic change, you just kinda notice you look better but you can't put your finger on it. I really like that.

Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder - Pure Color eyeshadow in cubes
germanxtc 7/23/2004 1:01:00 PM
I adore these things!!! I really love them :) The first time I tried one I didn't care for it because it seemed too sheer. I like a dramatic look. (I noticed others mentioned them not being pigmented enough). So I went to the Estee Lauder counter & said something about the color being way too sheer for me. They solved it in a split second. Ok, listen up ladies. Estee Lauder sells a concealer in a really light purple shade. Anyway, you use this on your eyes (on the lid, crease, brow). Just dab some on & smear with your finger. You're eyes will be a whitish purple. Let it dry. Then apply your eyeshawdow. OH MY GOSH the results are amazing. After doing this the eyeshawdow looks EXACTLY like it does in the cube. I mean talk about some serious pigment. Don't do this is if you want sheer and natural unless the color is light because if the color is dark it will be the exact same on your eyes. I mean it looks like the darn cube is on your eye that's how true the color is. The best thing is it keeps the color on ALL day and NO CREASING!!!!! I hope this helps some users and potential users. For now these are my favorites.

Treatments -L'Oreal - Line Eraser Pure Retinol Concentrate
germanxtc 7/23/2004 12:40:00 PM
I'm young so I really don't have too many lines to work on but the ones I do have did seem to be a lot finer. I have noticed an improvement both in skin tone and clarity. My acne has really cleared up too which surprised me. No more blackheads and whiteheads. Weird. The big thing I like is it hasn't broken me out. This is huge in my book because I have constant acne and this has not aggrevated it at all; on the contrary, it's really helped my breakouts. I've only used this for a month but so far it's a winner.

Skincare - Face -Serious Skin Care - Serious Skin Care Clarifying Treatment for Acne Skin
germanxtc 7/23/2004 12:34:00 PM
First let me say I am using this in conjuction with the glycolic cleanser so I don't know if my results are from this product, the cleanser, or the combo. Anyway I have noticed a big reduction in my acne. I have had acne all my life and since using the above combo I have noticed I hardly have any blackhead/whiteheads and I'm down to only maybe 1 or 2 major pimples a month, which for me is saying something. I can't comment on the price because I bought it on ebay really cheap so I'm not sure how much it normally runs. The packaging sucks though. It looks like something I'd find at the dollar store. I mean, the bottle & pump are fine but the label looks really really cheap, like something a kid would make on a computer. Other than that I'm satisfied.

Cleansers -Serious Skin Care - Glycolic Cleanser
germanxtc 7/23/2004 12:30:00 PM
I don't know how I feel about this product. It has a weird smell and texture. I have noticed that it seems to make my skin smoother but other than that I haven't noticed a drastic difference. I have been using it in conjuction with another product from this line (for acne) and there has been a difference in the amount of pimples I get but I don't know if thats from the other product, this product, or the combo of both. Overall I'm saying this is an ok product. The smell isn't too great though and the packaging sucks. I mean it looks like something from a dollar store. I can't comment on the price because I got it on ebay really cheap. It's an ok product but I can't say it's anything fantastic. I would buy it again though since I have noticed a big reduction in pimples.

Misc Beauty Tools -Revlon - blackhead remover / extractor
germanxtc 7/2/2004 9:21:00 AM
Well I have to say this product is a so-so in my book. I did get some extractions but I wasn't wowed. A lot of the ones I really wanted out were just left with a little red circle (like most described). But there were some that just came right out with this. So to be fair it does work on some but it seems to work better on some than others. I don't feel like I wasted my money, but I could have gotten the same results by sweezing the little things out with my fingers (even though we're not supposed to :)

Misc Beauty Tools -Rembrandt - 2 Hour White
germanxtc 7/2/2004 9:17:00 AM
Not impressed. I didn't get the blistering or soreness that most people described so I feel I'm a pretty fair reviewer. Quite simply I didn't find it any better than other bleaching products out yet it was much more expensive. I got the exact same results I normally do. I guess you're paying for speed. However, my dentist does not recommend these at all. Every time I get a cleaning I ask him to recommend some good bleaching kits. He said he would never recommend these because gums cannot withstand it. He advised me this is way too fast of a bleaching process, that it would eat gums up. Sounds like that's what's happened to quite a few on here. I mean think about it, even purchasing a bleaching kit from dentist doesn't yield results in 2 hours; you have to use it over a period of days. That should tell you something. Overall the product wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I've gotten the exact same results from other comparable products.
