I love the color of this lipstick! As soon as I swatched it at the store, I knew I had to get it! However, you must pair it with really moisturizing lipbalm (I suggest Sally Hansen's new lip balms) to make the color pop because the lipstick itself is matte. It looks bland without the lip balm. It stays on for a decent amount of time. Con? It smells like those old lipsticks. It's a great bold red that I can wear to work! Definitely will repurchase this.
I got this in medium, and I usually adore Revlon products, but this one was a no. I have fairly combination skin, and this made my skin look so dry. It does stay on for a long time --I work at a retail store that's always busy and makes me run around and it stayed throughout the night, but that's the only pro to this. Other than that it makes you look dry. It also makes you look cakey. Definitely returning this.
Styling Products -L'Oreal - Vive Pro Glossy Style- smooth gloss serum

I use this as my heat protection serum before I blow dry since i have long, thick, frizzy hair that needs to be tamed. I just apply it from wroot to tip and it works wonderfully with how i use it! I dont use it as a leave-in conditioner after i've styled my hair so i dont know how it works for that. However, the longer you have this on your hair (i've tried waiting 7-10 minutes) before you blow dry, the more manageable it will be! I just wish they had a bigger bottle because it's barely been a month and it's almost out!
I found this at Sally's Beauty Supply for about $6-$7 for 10 ounces i believe. This is officially my favorite hairspray so far for whenever i tease my hair or want a firmer hold on my curls! I have thick hair and it's usually difficult to get a hairspray with good hold for the teasing. I decided to try this due to the reviews about this product, and im not disappointed! It's a medium hold, but it doesnt make your hair crunchy even if you tease your hair. People who have smelled my hair when i have this hairpsray on say that they love it! They thought i put perfume on my hair! It also adds a little bit of volume to my curls without making them heavy.
I think I have this in true beige, and though the color had an undertone I didnt like, i decided to keep it. I just have to mix it with a drop of my moisturizer and it's the perfect color for me! It offers the best coverage I've ever gotten from any powder, mineral, or liquid foundation I've ever used. I gave it four lippies because of that undertone, and because it does transfer sometimes. Like if i blow my nose, a bit of it comes off but it doesnt look like there's any difference even though it came off. Or if i hug someone, it does rub off on their shirt! so that's what i really dont like. However, I do live in an area where it's really hot during the summer seaon, and it still can live through an entire day. At least 5 hours! I've never had that with any other foundation. And i like that this doesnt make my pores look bigger! I think it might actually have the opposite effect. I am a combination normal/oily skin person, but I dont get that shiny/oily face experience as the others here have mentioned they had after a couple of hours of having this on.I will definitely repurchase!
This product is definitely worth the $10 i spent on it! I wish there was a b1g1free on these Sally Hansen Products because they really are good. It doesnt smudge unless you do it yourself. It stays pretty much the whole day, at least at 4 hours. You do need an eye-makeup remover for this, preferrably an oil-based because oil-based removers are the only ones that really do remove waterproof e.m.u. It does go on smoothly! The color glides on very well; the pigmentation/color payoff of this is really really good. I'm glad I "splurged" on this $10 eyeliner :)
Hair Styling Tools -Ion - Conditioning Ionic-Ceramic Curling Iron 1"

I love this hair curler! it heats up fast, it doesnt fry your hair. it doesnt make your hair smell bad. it has great multiple heat settings. the packaging allows you to have a rotating cord so the wires dont get twisted. it comes with its own personal stand so it doesnt touch the counter while youre styling your hair. the 1" is an extended barrel so it's good for people with longer hair. or if you have short hair, you can create looser curls for a casual day because theres more space to make looser curls. it curls your hair quickly so you dont have to count to a minute as you do with cheaper curlers to get a nice, defined curl. i really dont have any cons with this.

definitely an HG for me!!!!! i've had other hairsprays that claim to give your hair good hold without making it sticky and/or stiff but this one actually gives you what it says! it does give your hair flexible hold. it gives your hair volume like it claims too. it does give it hold while remaining touchable --no helmet hair. it also gives you a non-chemical smell like most hairsprays. it's not a powerful smell that you catch while you turn your head either. and it's only $6 for 11 ounces! & for the animal activists, this product isn't tested on animals. what else could you ask for? it does what it claims, and it's a reasonable price while also being animal-friendly.

This is pretty much just an average cream. It's not really special. My hair wasnt shinier or healthier. However, it was able to minimize frizz by just a tad bit. I dont care for the smell, but it's not worth your time especially for the price. $6, you can get something better at Sally's. It's not horrible, but i just dont think it's anything special.
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - pure stay long wearing pressed powder
geraldinem54 6/8/2009 8:24:00 PM
Ashy, ashy ashy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not worth it. I'm something between nc30 and nc35, and i looked like a washed out ghost. Did not blend well into my skin at all.
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder

I like this powder foundation very much. It really does match my skin tone even though i didnt think i would. I really think it's super hard to find foundation that truly matches your skin especially at drugstores, but i'm glad i found this. It really does help even out my skin tone. It doesn't make me break out. It's very easy to apply. Coverage is average. But seeing as it's summer, and i'm getting darker, I might have to get a darker color. Cons are that they should have a bigger range of colors. It goes from 2.5 to 4 right away. and I would think i'm a 3, so thats a big no for me. other than that, it's a really good medium coverage foundation.
I love love love this hairspray for curly hairstyles! Whenever I curl my hair, I love to go for a "big sexy hair" look with huge curls. However, when I curl my hair, my curls start off as small curls so as soon as this hairspray touches my curled hair (I dont have naturally curly hair) my curls are volumized. I bought this on a whim when I passed by it at Vons. I was really wanting a volumizing hairspray for teasing, but this is not for teasing. However, i'm actually okay with that because now i have hairspray for when i want big sexy curls that last the whole day. Some of the hair does get stiff (duh, it's hairspray). I also looked for hairspray that doesnt have that overly powerful chemical smell. I love that even though this has a smell, it's not a problem like other hairsprays. It does provide a nice shine as well, and i suppose it does tame frizz. 7 ounces a bottle thats $8 on sale (regularly $13?). I wish it was a bit cheaper and more widely available because I dont see this amplifying hairspray in a lot of places at all. I've only seen this spray at Von's. So the price and lack of availability are why I took off a lippie. EDIT: i found better hairspray that is cheaper, volumizes my hair and doesnt weigh it down like this does. the new hairspray doesnt make my curls/hair stiff or sticky either. i also got so sick of the smell. if youre wondering what the new hairspray is, it's Ion's Vitalizing Shaping Mist.
Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash Volume Mascara
geraldinem54 6/3/2009 9:52:00 PM
It doesnt volumize much more than the lengthening version, but this is my HG nonetheless. It doesnt hold the curl as much as i would like it too, but I guess the waterproof might do that. It really does not clump my lashes at all. I find that it separates lashes really well to give it a "defined" look. You can see each and every lash which is amazing kinda does make it look like you have more lashes than you have. I dont have a problem with smudging at all with this mascara either. I dont have a problem with the rubber brush application like most people. I mean I'm pretty sure it's not gonna come off because they've tested it so many times.
Im giving this a lippie off because it has a couple of alcohol ingredients in the formula. However, i love i because whether or not im actually washing my hair with "hard water" it leaves my hair super soft. It doesnt come out and make my hair feel like straw. It doesnt weigh my hair down like other conditioners. It gets plus a point too because my hair get detangled much easier and faster compared to other conditioners especially when I teased my hair and didnt detangle it beforehand. It does have a smell but it goes away. The only time I smell the conditioner is when I'm working out and I start sweating. Weird i know, but thats the only time I smell it after I rinse it out.
First off, I think this has alcohol in it. Yeah it does definitely cut my drying time down to 4 minutes (I have thick long hair) before it used to be at least 8 minutes. I tried this generic version because I loved the original Paul Mitchell when I got a haircut. However, I dont really like it much. It smells nice, but it leaves a coating on my hair after i blow dry my hair that i just dont like. The coating and the alcohol is what blows the deal for me. Other than that, it's a pretty good product. Those are the only reasons why I wouldn't buy this again. However, it's a great value for such a big bottle.
