I have this in the Natural shade. I wasn't actually expecting this to be very moisturising at all, as in past experiences lip 'balms' that are also 'cosmetic/gloss' usually sacrifice their moisturising properties for more of a make-up effect. However, whilst it isn't massively moistursing, it doesn't dry out my lips either, and is quite a nice, slightly shimmery nude-clear shade for daywear (I never normally wear lipstick or gloss throughout the day preferring just a balm, but this is quite neutral). It's also not as sticky as regular lip gloss (good for windy days when your hair gets blown onto your lips!!). I wouldn't wear it to treat my lips when they get dry/cracked due the weather, having a cold etc., but it's a nice change from wearing just a regular moisturising balm. It has a very artificial (fruit?) sort of smell that isn't offensive but is a little bit too strong, but for the very cheap price that's not really anything to quibble about. One last thing about this - for some reason whenver I use it I get a very slight dry, scratchy feeling at the back of my throat. Slight enough that it doesn't mean I'll never use it again, but I definitely wouldn't use it all day every day.

The 'sexy sweep' does not even remotely work for me. The first time I tried it, it was like a stripe of ghostly light over a stripe of muddy bronze that looked awful, even when I blended it with a buffing brush. The second time I tried it, I used my MAC 188 brush to swirl the bronze part on as a blush, then used the brush it comes with to highight the top of my cheekbones with the pearly part. Again, it just did not work - the bronze shade is so wrong for me on its own, it just makes my face look dirty. Eventually I took a bigger blush brush and just swirled it around in the box to blend the two colours together on the brush, swirled it on my cheeks and it looked great - a really subtle tawny/pale-pink color with a pearlescent effect that provided a nice, not-too-sparkly glow. Will continue to use up like this, and would possibly consider buying again to use in the same way. For reference, I am NC15.

Mascara -Clinique - Naturally Glossy Mascara

I *love* this mascara. Defines lashes brilliantly, without a SINGLE clump in sight, and the brush just glides through my lashes. I never have to comb through my lashes after putting this on. It never gets flaky, or crispy (making your lashes feel solid like some mascaras do - ick!) and lasts all day without smudging. It can also be built up for a more dramatic look without getting all gloopy. Nice sleek silver packaging too. Great stuff!

Highlighters -Guerlain - Les Meteorites balls powder

*Sigh* I love this product. I have the Reflects de Nacre limited edition from Christmas 2003 and they don't seem to have gone down! I never really used to think they did anything except look decorative on my dressing table (the little cylindrical box is so pretty) until an incident a couple of years ago. Throughout my teenage years I had really crap skin, my T-zone was really spotty and nothing made them go away (even Accutane, they came back after I'd finished the course) and one night whilst applying my makeup for a night out I decided to sweep this product all over my face. A week or so later, a friend of mine had showed the photos of the night out to her mum, who commented that my skin looked nice. No one had EVER complimented my skin before, so that pushed the Meteorites near the top of my favourite makeup products list. I even tried putting it on one half of my face and leaving the other half and I could tell the difference in the mirror. The way you're skin looks by candlelight, soft and glowy, well that's what you get with these. LOVE! (and they smell great too, like violets)

I absolutely love this powder. I am MAC NC15 and I use this as a blush, and whilst it's not a highly pigmented blush it's just a gorgeous peachy tint that makes me look not like I'm actually wearing blush, but like I'm glowing from within. It has the finest of shimmers in it (you can only see the shimmery bits up really close) and it smells really pretty too. The other day when I couldn't be bothered wearing loads of makeup I put this on as blush and just swept a little across my eyelids for a hint of colour and it looked really sweet and natural. The box makes it a little hard to get into the corners when the product's nearly gone (it should really be in a round container, I think) and whilst the brush is ok, it's not great (I prefer a big round blush brush) but otherwise I adore it. It's a little expensive but my box has lasted 2 and a half years using nearly every day. Will definitely be replacing soon!
