Cleansers -Peter Thomas Roth - Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel
gazh27 1/26/2013 9:22:00 AM
This cleanser makes my skin soft and I feel like it just lifts the dirt and oil out from my pores. Make sure you work it into your skin for AT LEAST 30 seconds - when i first bought this I made the mistake of washing it off after about 10 seconds, which was why I didn't see immediate results. It can be drying, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. You'll need a hydrating moisturizer afterwards.

Cleansers -Simple - Cleansing Facial Wipes
gazh27 1/26/2013 9:17:00 AM
I really like these! They leave my face feeling fresh and clean, and they remove 99% of my foundation and eye liner/mascara. They don't give me any eye redness or irritation, which is usually an issue for me with other facial wipes. So I'm very happy with these. I think it's $8 or $9 for a pack of 25, which is a bit much - but they work, so why not splurge? ;)

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - 3-Step System
gazh27 1/26/2013 9:13:00 AM
ProActiv did absolutely nothing for me. I tried it years and years ago in the hope that it would prevent breakouts, but it made my face dry and itchy and red. Definitely not for me. There are a lot of mixed reviews about this stuff, so if you're considering buying it but haven't tried it yet, maybe ask a friend if you can try hers (or his) and see if you have a bad reaction to it. It's pretty expensive and you probably don't want to waste your money.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Quenched
gazh27 1/26/2013 9:08:00 AM
Okay, this stuff completely saves my lips when it's windy and -25 degrees (benefits of a Canadian winter). Baby Lips is better than anything I've ever tried and I hope they never discontinue the line. It's also really cheap - like $3 - and lasts several months even with everyday use, so it's definitely worth it.

Treatments -Bumble & Bumble - deeep treatment
gazh27 1/26/2013 9:02:00 AM
I bought this in the sample size at Sephora for about $8, and I'm glad I did because my hair always looks and feels so much stronger after using it. However, I knocked one star off because I haven't seen a huge improvement in the condition of my hair after using this once every 10 days for the past few months, and I knocked a second one off because I have to use a lot of the product to get every strand, even with my thin, fine hair. I love the banana/pineapple/mango smell :) I'll repurchase if it's on sale. If not, I'll look for something that will give me better results in the long run. I'm a big fan of B&B and I'm dying to see if the Creme de Coco Masque is any better.

Treatments -Moroccanoil - Morrocan Oil Treatment
gazh27 1/26/2013 8:52:00 AM
MoroccanOil - how I love this stuff. To be perfectly honest, when I first tried it I didn't like it at all because I thought it made my hair look dull, limp and greasy. However, over the past few months I've started to really love it. Works like a charm on damp hair, leaving it soft, shiny, great-smelling, and healthy-looking. I should note that I use the Light version because I have thin, fine hair; if you ladies with fine hair are debating which one to get, trust me on this: we need the Light version. It IS expensive, but one bottle has lasted me for over a year. I don't use it every day - maybe 2-3 times per week - but a little goes a long way with this stuff. My mum uses the regular version, and it really calms her thick, wavy, flyaway-prone hair.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
gazh27 1/26/2013 8:40:00 AM
I love this liner. It's long-lasting, doesn't smudge, dries quickly, and is every bit as intense as the title suggests. I don't think I'll ever switch to another product because I really doubt there's a better one out there :)

Polishes -OPI - Goldeneye
gazh27 1/26/2013 8:37:00 AM
Ladies: buy this! I have never gotten this many compliments on a nail colour! I recently bought the 4-set of mini polishes from the Skyfall collection (GoldenEye, The Spy Who Loved Me, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and The World Is Not Enough). I got my nails done with GoldenEye and I swear I've had seven women compliment my nails in the last two weeks. This is an AMAZING colour and it looks great on every skin tone, which isn't something you see too often. It's really wonderful to look at...it's a deep, rich gold that is subtle but also stands out at the same time. And the best part? The 4-set of mini polishes was $13!!!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
gazh27 1/26/2013 8:23:00 AM
I was shocked to find that this mascara doesn't have a higher MUA rating. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and I love it! I have fairly long lashes but they're not very thick, so Great Lash really helps to plump them up without any clumping AT ALL. Clumping has always been a big issue for me and this wand seems to magically separate and thicken each of my lashes. However, I wear this as an everyday mascara, not as a going-out mascara. It gives the wide-eye effect more than the falsies effect, so it really depends on what you're looking for. It was a bit pricey at like $8, but I've spent way more money on designer-brand mascaras that clump and flake as soon as you apply them. I'll definitely be repurchasing!
