Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - Metal Eye Lash Comb
rated 5 of 5

I own 2 of these, and owned a 3rd that got lost a long time ago. I found a version in black at one beauty supply store, bought it, and then found the clear version. Now I keep the black one in my to-go makeup bag, and the clear one is in my bathroom with my "pretty" bottles of other products. I agree with the other high ratings. I will never go back to plastic eyelash combs.

Hair -Unlisted Brand - Brazilian Keratin Treatment - Marcia
rated 5 of 5
gabina2008 6/17/2011 11:42:00 AM

I have had two keratin treatments--one was the Brazilian Blowout brand and one was another brand.. I had a half off Groupon for the non-Brazilian brand. While the "non-brand" did smooth my hair and reduce the frizz, I did not get that amazing shine that I have seen on other people's hair. I did not experience any breakage or other negative side effects. So, I found a salon (Chakra in San Francisco) that offered the Brazilian Blowout brand. I paid the full price ($350), and had this done one week before my wedding in Hawaii, where the humidity would have just made me a walking frizz ball. The process was the same as other posters have mentioned. The stylist said that at the other salon, they probably did not put enough product in my hair. There were definitely fumes. I had Aveda color (I'm a brunette) done at the same time. And I must say, my hair has not been this beautiful for a very long time. I have the most amazing shine. I couldn't be happier.

Skincare - Body -Clarins - Huile Tonic - Body Treatment Oil
rated 5 of 5

I used this with both of my pregnancies and have virtually no stretch marks. I used it all over my body (not just on my belly) while pregnant. It also reduced my cellulite. I also believe the aromatherapy oils must have penetrated somehow through to the placenta--both of my children are very well balanced, mellow children. Ayurvedic theory supports this hypothesis! Anyhow, I am currently using this as I am trying to drop 10 pounds (getting remarried this summer) and don't want to get stretch marks from the weight loss. I also love the glass bottle, it is very eco-friendly (glass is endlessly recyclable). I go through a bottle a month, and use it right after showering, before drying off. I let it soak in a while (do my ironing, hair, makeup, etc.) Sephora will give you a free sample if you ask them; I've noticed the Clarins counters have been stingy lately with their samples.

Conditioner -Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Nourishing Conditioner
rated 5 of 5

So amazing, the scent is great. Please see my review of the shampoo for other details, but I love the So Sexy hair line so much, I wanted to add my rating for the Conditioners too. Just such a great value. I have moderately thick, wavy, home-colored hair, and this shampoo leaves it soft, manageable, and so fragrant.

Shampoo -Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Shampoo
rated 5 of 5

I have been using the So Sexy line of shampoo and conditioners for about 5 years. I originally bought and used it only for dates; but after getting the Victoria's Secret credit card, I now get points back and have learned to wait for the sales and buy 3 of the products at time, so that's put the price down for me. So now I use them almost daily. I switched to other products (Kerastase, L'Oreal) for a while, but have just found these to be the best overall. Like other reviewers noted, the smell is just amazing. I have the Curl shampoo for days I want to wear my hair au naturel, and the Smooth one for the days I blow dry/straighten. All good stuff. I am a huge Victoria's Secret fan for a lot of their products!

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Morning Burst Detoxifying Facial Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
gabina2008 10/13/2010 12:59:00 AM

I have adult acne, and have found this product to work great in keeping the acne down and washing off makeup. The affordable price means that I can use generously. I also use it on my neck. I keep this in the shower and use in the morning; I like the concept of the "oxygen-infused" formula--smells nice, feels pleasant, rinses easily.

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Finishes Oil-Free Pore Perfecting Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
gabina2008 10/13/2010 12:55:00 AM

Having suffered from acne most of my life (age 12 and up), I've tried all sorts of cleansers. I now have moderate adult acne exaserbated by eating nuts, seeds, and chocoloate. Anyway, I only recently (in the last couple of months) tried the clean & clear products, and I like all of them. I wanted a second cleanser pump to keep by my sink (I have one in the shower too), so I bought this one from Target to use at night. It's great. I'm glad I read the other reviews, because I totally did not know I was supposed to shake the bottle before using it--will see if that makes any difference. I highly recommend, and am so happy that this is affordable. It smells good and feels good, lathers nicely. I use this in conjunction with Retin-A cream and don't appear to have any problems, but I do have very sturdy skin in general.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - EverPure Sulfate Free Color Care System - Volume
rated 1 of 5
gabina2008 10/11/2010 2:07:00 AM

I am rating this product poorly because frankly, it smells just like mouthwash; I was expecting some nice herbal scent. I finished the tube off just because I don't like to waste product. I could only use it when I wasn't expecting to see my fiance, there was no way I was going to have him tell me my hair smelled like mouthwash. Aside from fragrance, it seemed to work okay. I'm going back to my Victoria's Secret shampoo/conditioner products.

Fragrances -Salvatore Ferragamo - Incanto Bliss
rated 5 of 5
gabina2008 10/11/2010 2:03:00 AM

I found a gift package of this (eau de toilette & body lotion) at T.J.Maxx for only $20. Like other posters, I fell in love with the bottle design and packaging. I also have had a lot of success with Italian products in general. I also picked up the Incanto bliss bath & shower gel for $10. I just love it--it's a light but sophisticated scent. It makes me happy just looking at the bottle & tubes too! If you see this definitely snap it up!

Treatments -Burt's Bees - avocado hair treatment
rated 5 of 5
gabina2008 5/12/2010 5:08:00 PM

I have used this product for years and recently went back to it. In general, I try to use all natural products. I bought several tubes off drugstore.com as the only store carrying it in my area is Whole Foods, where it is a few $$ more than online. I use this as a leave-in conditioner and styling aid, and I use a lot less than indicated on the package--an amount about the size of a dime. I have black, wavy hair, and this soaks right in and gives the curls just the right amount of moisture without weighing it down too much. I give high marks for the packaging (a tube) because you can recycle it with your #2 plastics.
